i scrapped these last winter because of a spelling mistake
 but late tonight i am remembering a time that almost feels lifetimes ago now back in 2012 when i wrote something with a little doodle on a piece of paper marked up from testing pens that had a spelling mistake

 my friend claro found it & saw value in it & asked if he could get it printed out as a huge poster

when i saw it last year when i finally made it back out east right before the pandemic hit, it really hit my heart & the misspelling only really added to it

 it reminds me that perfectionism is fake & to hold up everything that is meaningful to you

thanks claro, your perspective has always had a way of doing just that for people

this one says “covid safety is community care,” i made it a point in which i was going through what was likely the pinnacle of stress, fear and grief for me in pandemic times with the intention of taping it to telephone polls as a way of getting my ass outside during a deep mental hell rut

im bad at consistency but I like the idea of this challenge being a way to push yourself to draw for the sake of itself and share what you do, i am a closet perfectionist and often scrap drawings hours in or avoid sharing them via social anxiety so inktober feels like a good way to challenge that ~ anyway pls use the things i share for this challenge as prompts and show me if you’d like id so love to see

#inktober day 17?! Wow. Today’s #demon is Allocer or Aloces. Allocer appears as a knight on horseback, often described as having a lion-like face, glowing eyes & a roaring voice. Despite his getup he’s not really into battles as much as astronomy & the liberal arts. Scary face, but observation & charting are much more his bag than stabby-stabby. What a cool dude!

#inktober day 16! MAN I have never watched a month fly by this fast! Anyway today’s #demon is Ipos or Ipes. Ipes’ appearance is somewhat chimeric; they have the head & feet of a goose, the body of a lion & the tail of a hare. Ipes is a very powerful demon for one who never gets into battles. Their skills, instead, lie in bestowing gifts of wit, debate, quick thinking & boldness. These kinds if demons are my faves. Happy Saturday loves

So my body fell apart & I’m slowly getting it back together with doctors & physio & the Internet. I wanted to be Joseph Joestar so I got into working out…until a couple of months ago when my shoulder decided it didn’t like being in that socket anymore & is still making multiple attempts to vacate it. I got diagnosed with multidirectional instability, & am going to be tested for Ehlers-Danlos too. Maybe I will never be JoJo ☹️☹️ I’m still drawing, still summoning demons, still fighting TERFs on the Internet, but I can’t be out of bed for very long. Improving every day though! Physio is def NO PAIN NO GAIN. I will post some new art & some new SPOOKY & QUEER️‍ stickers very soon because I am WORKING THROUGH THE PAIN Here’s the band aid from my MRI arthrogram, don’t google that if you don’t like needles. I don’t like needles. I’m glad I didn’t know what was going to happen before I went in GANBATTE
