Maybe we need more of this… Nudism advocacy!
I found that when I “came out” as a Naturist at work, a large car dealership with 120+ employees I was bombarded with questions about my Nudism, had some that said I was brave, had a couple who made jokes about it but on the whole it was very positive..
I even had people confide in me that they had been to nude beaches or skinny dipped and a couple of women told me they sunbaked nude in the backyard on a regular basis, my admission of my own Nudism seem to open the flood gates and make
It ok to admit that they had partaken in the pastime
Roll on a few years and I left that job in 2018 and at my farewell with half the employees present, my female boss says “We are going to miss our Nudeyman and hearing about his lunchtime skinny dips and bushwalks”…
There was some laughter and also confused looks on a couple of newbies faces, my boss says “Oh, by the way, in case you didn’t know, Michael is a Nudist”
On my farewell card I had comments such as “Best of luck in your new job, hope you can still go skinny dipping at your new job”
Now at my new job, a lot of people know already as I’ve not been secretive about it and I have quite a few as friends on Facebook including my new female boss who in teams video meetings says “Turn on your cameras so I can see you all…. oh Michael, I’ll give you a few minutes to throw something on” #Nudism #nakedandunashamed #comingout

Finding your card.
It was 1995. My mom took me out to breakfast after she met my first real girlfriend. She asked me if I was maybe gay. I cried. She said, “oh honey, I think I’ve always known.” She said she was happy for me. She said my girlfriend was a cutie. She held my hand and told me that my friends were going to be fine with it because they were awesome and alternative and loving (all true). And she seemed genuinely relieved to know the whole truth of me.
I had already told my besties. To the one, the only pushback I got was when I couched my coming out (in fear) in a “but don’t worry - I’m not attracted to you” and they ALL said, “ok, but what’s wrong with me?” Because they were and are the best. My sister was like “ok drama queen, like duh” (I think I told her first) and then my mom marched with GLSEN that same year at our First Pride.
I went back and forth, in and out of the closet a few times, namely when I was trying to be a “Good Catholic”. And each time it was my momma who reminded me who I was and how wonderful that was.
My mom wasn’t a perfect person but she loved her gay daughter in this moments so perfectly.

10 years ago today, Eating Out: All You Can Eat was released and @danielskelton and I started our wild journey together as Zack and Casey in this crazy, wild franchise. Whether you love it or hate it, Eating Out has brought so much joy into my life over the past 10 years. For some of you it was the first gay movie you were able to watch before ever coming out. Some have even told us that watching these movies made it easier to accept your true authentic selves and for that we are beyond grateful. For me, I have met the most amazing people through filming these movies that are still apart of my life today. Thank you Daniel for being a great friend and still making me laugh 10 years later. I am so grateful that you are in my life. Thank you to writer/director @allanbrocka for always believing in me and showing your continued support with everything that I do. Still would love to come together to make one last movie! There are some unanswered questions looming around. A huge shoutout to the rest of the Eating Out cast and crew @glebborama @rebekahkochan @phillipjbartell @michaeljackshoel @lilachmendelovich @madeinmilo @drew_droege @ronniekroell @marikahcunningham @robwestin.
