The first three days of our stay were rather cold, foggy and gloomy. However, on day 4 the weather finally had heard our pleas and got a lot better. It was still very cold, but much more bearable than the days before. We thought that we’d escape the big tourist masses during wintertime but the week between christmas and new year’s seems to be just as bad when it comes to mass tourism. But it is understandable, seeing how pretty Venice is!
