I did not mention this before, but I had backed Open Press Project on Kickstarter back when it happened. And I got a tiny 3d printed press!

You can order your own tiny press to do intaglio or relief in the smallest of spaces at Open Press Project

You might remember that I managed to buy a small Line-O-Scribe in the summer of 2020. Even better in May 2021, I finally got my hands on a barely used Line-O-Scribe.

This was a long process that started with a post on Briar Press before Thanksgiving 2020 by the seller. Then silence. Then I found out the seller got COVID and was recovering. Then a few months later we got the whole thing going and a 100lb box arrived outside my apartment from Oklahoma.

The press was beautifully packed and just as lovely as described. Added bonus, it came with an ink plate and the original business card of the salesman who sold this very press around 70 years ago.
