Craig Tucker/Tweek Tweak

Craig Tucker/Thomas (Le Petit Tourette) - past

Summary: Craig’s not gonna think about him, he’s totally not. He just wants his sweatshirt back.

Read the drabble at this link!

Note: The author of this piece reached out to me because they did not have a tumblr account to post this on, so I am posting on their behalf.

It makes me sad that we spend much of this work feeling Craig’s heartbreak, but there’s also a sense within it of going through all the stages of his emotions that I really love. I liked having Tweek there too, and he provided some interesting dialogue, particularly his messed up text messages. Thank you (from afar) for writing!

Woah, this packed a punch. Very intense, and sad, subject matter, but it made for a story that felt visceral and real. Your understanding of Craig is well thought out, and I like that I could put together many things about his past and his life with the little clues you gave. Ultimately, I just feel so badly for the struggles Craig has endured, and hope that maybe the end of this is hopeful after all. Thank you so much for writing!

Day Three: Ex

This drabble was written by @pbjellieao3, in a series that details the New Kid’s life! This particular drabble I felt was a little more lighthearted, with some funny show-and-game-loyal representations. I appreciate that the New Kid isn’t given lines, to match the games, and also that Al Gore is ridiculous as always. Thank you for writing!

Today’s prompt is: Ex

Welcome to the third day of the May 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! This was a killer prompt, and I’ve looked forward to the way people would use it. I hope you look forward too!  Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
The ex: a dreaded two-letter placeholder for a person your muse might wish to forget. Or do they? What is their history with this person? Were they a romantic partner, a friend, or something else? Why are they no longer a part of each other’s lives? Have they come back to haunt them, maybe even literally?

Craig Tucker/Tweek Tweak

Summary: So, Craig took his polaroid out, spoke as a mist among only mist, twelve years ago. He thought he snapped it up in time. He thought he had tricked God, and tomorrow, too, because this was a good place to keep, once, and he didn’t want it to vanish.

Read the drabble at this link!

Note: The author of this piece reached out to me because they did not have a tumblr account to post this on, so I am posting on their behalf.

This piece was a really lovely work that took a story and turned it into poetry. I enjoyed the repeating phrases and ideas, and the way that the language took on Craig’s mind in its own unique way. Even though this was largely introspective, I also enjoyed the characterization of Tweek, who was zany and a little out there but determined to help in a way that proved charming. Thank you for participating, even without a tumblr to do so!

This is my second entry to @blame-canada‘s@spdrabblebomb for the Photograph prompt! In this drabble, Wendy helps Clyde by taking him out on a get-along (or a date) to help lift his spirits up. It has a special memoir for him on the end as well!

“Clyde, if you ever feel down, please look at this picture okay?”

Its a sad day yet again for Clyde. He is once again all alone in the school grounds, sad and lonely. He didn’t like that sad atmosphere he’s experiencing right now due to the fact he can’t find anyone to get along with for the day. Most of Craig’s gang are busy in a group with the other folks he got used to be with also had things to do. He needed some company to fill up that empty space he has right now.

I appreciate when people make Wendy a more sympathetic character, especially when it seems she’s not always given the chance in fanfiction! She was so sweet to Clyde and it made for a nice and comfortable dynamic. I would hope they would make a good couple, for Wendy being a caring person for Clyde to come to and vice-versa. Thank you for sharing!

Day Two: Photograph

This piece was submitted by @pbjellieao3, as part of a series about the New Kid! This one tells a lot about New Kid’s experiences as a character and in their family. It is sad to think of it this way, but if you think about it, there is a lot of evidence to point to a very abusive household. My heart breaks for New Kid. You’ve done a great job giving a dose of reality to their character. Thank you for writing.

This made me really emotional to read. It was sad in that heartbreaking way that is way too real. It’s so sad that Tweek and Craig have ended up where they are, and that Tweek is seemingly in a dangerous downward spiral. You did an excellent job capturing Craig’s feelings about it, and creating a landscape that I could envision well. Thank you for sharing this with us!

A refresher on the prompt:
A picture is worth a thousand words, the phrase implores, but what is it about this photograph that perhaps leaves your muse with none of them? Could they speak forever about a portrait, or find themselves captivated by an empty scene? Is it a black and white photo, a polaroid picture, an entire collection? Who took the photograph? Are they still in your muse’s life?

maxy0008:

This is for the Prompt Decade for the @spdrabblebomb Heidi Left South Park for bigger and better things. To become someone who makes a difference. A lot can change in ten years, but for Heidi the only thing that seemed to change was her scenery.

If Tumblr reading ain’t yout thing here’s the link! https://archiveofourown.org/works/13824321/chapters/34209083

It’s true what they say. As you grow older time passes by in the blink of an eye. Years feel like months, months like weeks, weeks like days, and so on and so on.

The thing they don’t tell you is how fast things change in those times. People can go from sneaking out of their parents house and going to sit at the park with their friends to being parents of their own unruly children. Once rebellious leaders of the school become nothing more than a desk jockey for a boring job, and the people who were sure to be failures become successful. The cynical become kind, the kind, cynical.

Friends that you were once inseparable from become nothing more than a fond memory that only passes by for a brief moment before going back into the shadows of the past.
In other words, being a decade out of high school fucking sucks. At least it did for Heidi. Leaving South Park shortly after high school she planned for bigger and better things. To become a leader for girls in abusive relationships, an advocate for people without a voice. None of that, however, happened for her.

Making a difference was a lot harder than making a change.

Oh, Heidi! I really like the direction you took with her character and her drive. I think it’s something a lot of people can relate to that they look at the fact that 10 years has passed and they don’t feel that they’ve amounted to anything. But even just this drabble shows how untrue it is! I appreciated the happier ending, and it was a nice and warm feeling. Thank you for writing!

Title: “Tracing Roots”

“We’ve grown to such a great family, Stan. Couldn’t have done it without you.”

It has been 10 years after Kenny decided to leave his parents’ house with Karen and Kevin on-check after the mentioned parents, Stuart and Carol, got arrested for a major crime. Because of this, they were left behind and without something to stay on, they needed help.. fast. Kenny, out of desperation, managed to talk to someone who can help. That person is none other than Stan Marsh and when he visited his house (they were 15 years old), Kenny wanted to start a new family. He wanted to start over the right way.

I love reflection pieces, because I love to see all the different ideas people come up with to fill in the past of their characters. This one was sad because of how young they were, but I’m glad it had a happy ending! Making Karen an artist was a very cute touch and a nice idea I hadn’t considered before. Thank you for writing!

My Book of Memories - by Tweek Tucker, 2017

Craig:
The contents of this book are for me more than anything, but I’m sure that you’ll like it once I’m long gone and unable to protest. :P It’s important to me that I don’t forget the most important parts of my life, and it happens to be that you make up most of them. I’m sure you’re pretty smug about that.

I know it’s probably weird to address this to you when I’m still alive and I don’t know when my time will come, but it just feels right. Hopefully you’ll be able to read these someday and smile. I just want you to keep smiling.

I love you,
Tweek, forever your sunshiny star ✰

Summer, 2017 (Present Day)

We were asked to write about where we saw ourselves in 10 years one day, in English class. It was a pretty typical assignment, really. Something everybody does at some point. Everyone is asked where they see their future going, and in my opinion, that question puts way too much pressure on a child still going through high school! High school is bad enough!

Anyway- I had been dating Craig for maybe a month when this assignment came about. Obviously, that meant that I was newly in very intense, very dreamy, sloppy, sappy love with him. The honeymoon period, it’s called. I still remember how crazy I felt, for how much I really loved him when I had only just started dating him, but I didn’t want to deny myself the happy butterflies that came with it, so I didn’t. It was so quick that we flipped the switch from ‘best friends’ to ‘boyfriends’ and so was the switch that clicked the rest of my desired future together.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the May 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! I can’t wait to share with you all the wonderful stories that have been written this time around! Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
There isn’t a much more direct way to reference the passage of time than a word that literally describes a piece of it. Ten years is a long time- is it a flashback to something that happened then, or how long it took to get somewhere now? Is it simply a number, or something more? Did your muse realize they’re getting old, or that time is running out for something? Or have they realized that something is merely beginning? Was there hardship in that decade, or peace?

pbjellieao3:

Day 2: Psychic

Tweek is psychic. For sure. That’s totally what he is.

Whoa- this one was heavy. It was really well done, in that I could tell what was going on in reality but still within Tweek’s distorted lens; I think that’s an excellent sign of expansive storytelling, and despite its brevity, I feel like I read a whole story. Thank you for sharing!

Hello and welcome to day two of the October 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! This was a tough one, in-line with the holiday upon us. Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
Perhaps one of the quirkier options in the list, ‘psychic’ refers to the ability, or person, capable of looking into the future. Does this mean your muse has the ability to see what’s to come? Are they a fake, or are they for real? Is psychic ability possible, and is it believable? Is your muse forced to think about the possibilities of their future, when faced with someone who might know what it contains?

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first day of the October 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb.  Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
Some of our life’s most important moments are predated by a dream. Is your muse motivated by a dream they’ve had since they were little? Did they have a literal dream, which woke them up in a state of panic over the contents? What is your muse dreaming about? Is it some passion they’re pursuing, or one they wish they pursued? Is it about someone specific? Is it happy, sad, or somewhere in between?

Prompts for October 2018

Hello all, and welcome to the October 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! It’s been a little while since the last time we met up, but hopefully you’ll be ready to come up with some more truly great works!

October 2018: Look to the Future

In direct parallel to the most recent Drabble Bomb, this month is going to be dedicated to something I think we all find ourselves thinking about sometimes- the future! One of the most integral parts of South Park fanfiction is the power to shape these kids’ future, as we very frequently will age them up beyond canon depictions. The prompts for this month challenge you to think of the future however that may manifest, at whatever life stage you may decide to write them; after all, as the writers, we’re able to decide just where our characters stand in relation to time as it passes. Without further ado, here are the prompts chosen for the October 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb.

Day One [10/29]: Dream

Some of our life’s most important moments are predated by a dream. Is your muse motivated by a dream they’ve had since they were little? Did they have a literal dream, which woke them up in a state of panic over the contents? What is your muse dreaming about? Is it some passion they’re pursuing, or one they wish they pursued? Is it about someone specific? Is it happy, sad, or somewhere in between?

Day Two [10/30]: Psychic

Perhaps one of the quirkier options in the list, ‘psychic’ refers to the ability, or person, capable of looking into the future. Does this mean your muse has the ability to see what’s to come? Are they a fake, or are they for real? Is psychic ability possible, and is it believable? Is your muse forced to think about the possibilities of their future, when faced with someone who might know what it contains?

Day Three [10/31]: Omen

Today is Halloween, and what could be spookier than a bad omen? Is your muse disturbed by what they consider a harbinger of doom for their future? Are they superstitious, or do they deny its significance? On the other hand, is the omen good? Why is this thing significant to your muse? Why does it mean what they think it does? Could it be the terms of a curse, or the start of a blessing?

Day Four [11/1]: Time

Time is what moves us all toward our future. What about time is causing your muse distress, or elation? Are they happy that time will keep moving forward, or troubled? Is there something they want to prevent that’s yet to come? A sci-fi take would be fun too- is time-traveling involved? What moment in time does your muse want to change, and why?

Day Five [11/2]: Wish

When we make wishes, we think of the things we want to happen to us in the future. What does your muse wish for? Why are they wishing? Is this a tender moment, or perhaps even a tense one? Is your muse wishing for something good or something bad? Are they wishing for themselves or someone else? Is this about someone else’s wish, which your muse finds out about? Is it something even possible to achieve?

Hello everyone! I would first like to apologize for my having left alone this project for so long- I was dreadfully busy this summer, alongside my own personal health problems that took a toll on my ability to keep up with extra work. I hope you can forgive my absence, and that you would perhaps like to participate again in the future!

I would like to thank all of the contributors of the last Drabble Bomb, who are as follows: @maxy0008,@blesspastacraig,@xigbarf,@metroph0bic,@pbjellieao3,alright_alright (no tumblr listed; link is to their AO3), and @p-aurisan. Your works were a joy to read and I hope that you also enjoyed writing them!

Having left this behind a bit recently, I have lost the regular rhythm of every other month, as typically the next event would have been for July. Due to continuing obligations which impact my availability, I will be holding the next Drabble Bomb in October 2018. The next Bomb after that will be held somewhere around December, though I may release the prompts a little early in order to be posting the drabbles closer to the holiday season, before the new year. I will keep you all up to date on the scheduling after October in the future!

Thank you again for your patience, your participation, and your passion, for they all make this event and the art of fanfiction something wonderful to cherish.

This is my prompt for the @spdrabblebomb for the prompt Memory!

I had a lot of fun writing this one. I went an entirely different route with my writing style and I have to admit it was pretty hard for me but I think out of everything I’ve written this one may very well be my favorite.

Anywho, if you’d like the link here it is! https://archiveofourown.org/works/13824321/chapters/34706177

Nichole was always happy when the spring time came, but now she is thinking about how the winter became her favorite time of year.

Specks of pinks and orange painted the sky with a vibrancy that she could never see any place else. Colors popping up from the mountains as the sun slowly set behind it. The warmth of the sun disappearing along with it replacing it with the cold that settled itself in Nichole’s bones. Slowlying closing her eyes she took a deep breath that filled her lungs with the cool scent of winter snow, a smell that never quite left this small town, and exhaled it into a puffy warm breath that danced in the air until it faded into nothingness.

It was part of what made winter her favorite season.

Everyone had always assumed that her favorite season was Spring, and once upon a time ago, there would have been truth to that statement. Seasons change though, and as the seasons change, so do people, and Nichole was one of those people who changed.

Awww, what a sweet pairing! It’s one I don’t usually see, but I always like to see how people characterize the girls, especially one like Red who doesn’t have much to speak of in the canon. I’m glad you utilized her and I really liked the dynamic you gave them. It felt cozy and warm, and it was a nice contrast to the weather/season you chose to connect them with. Thank you for writing!

This is for the prompt Letter for the @spdrabblebomb

I know, I know. I’m kind of shooting out of all cylinders here, but I had the time to write these so I kind of went in and did them as quickly as I could. This prompt was rough for me because I couldn’t really figure out who I wanted to use or even how I wanted to go about it. I’m glad I decided to use Shelly and Stan. We don’t see much of their interactions anymore so I thought it would be interesting to do!

I hope you all enjoy. And as usual, here is the link https://archiveofourown.org/works/13824321/chapters/34706267

Shelly gets a letter from Stan after the two of them not speaking to each other for years.

Hazel eyes blurred as tears started to press against them. How long had it been? Five? Six years maybe? She had stopped counting after Stan had stopped returning her calls. Their relationship was never the best anyways, but as she got older she tried, he just didn’t.

Part of that was her fault. No, that wasn’t true. All of it was. She had always been so cruel. Harming him in anyway she was able. It was a younger brothers job to annoy their sister, and an older sisters job to protect her brother. Shelly failed in every aspect of her job.

I was so glad to see that you chose this relationship to work with, because as you said in your remarks, we don’t see their interactions much! I think there is definitely a lot that can be explored. The fact that their lives grew so apart and Stan’s so dark really breaks my heart. I hope that from this point they can start healing, and I think they can.

Henrietta sees Kenny talking to a beautiful blonde girl and can feel herself getting jealous. Turns out, she is his ex.

Thinned grey eyes watched through a cloud of cigarette smoke as frustration bubbled up in her gut. Frustration eating away her insides leaving the feeling of emptiness in the pit of her belly. Pulling the long cigarette holder from her lips, she rested her chin on the back of limp hand as she watched her boyfriend, the boy she was currently investing her time into, was investing his time into a skinny, pretty little blonde. Appalling, really, to know that someone so normal would be worthy of filling his time.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the fifth day and conclusion to the May 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! It’s been a ride and I’ve really enjoyed seeing everyone’s pieces this time around. I hope you had fun, whether you’ve read or participated! Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
Sending letters in the mail is a pretty old tradition in the modern age, but maybe that’s what makes it so memorable. Does your muse have an old letter that they keep around? It doesn’t have to be something formal either- maybe it’s a quick sticky note, or a list? What significance does it have to your muse? How does it make them feel?

blame-canada:

In fifteen minutes, Craig had watched his whole life die.

This is a drabble for Quarter Rests, which is my side project detailing small scenes from within the Halfway universe that either lead up to or fall between the cracks of the present time in that fanfiction. It was written using the prompt “Memory” for the May 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb. This one should prove self-explanatory, but this drabble won’t make a lot of sense without knowing the source. Read Halfway here, and read this chapter of Quarter Rests here on AO3. Enjoy!

The rush to the hospital had taken too long. South Park had been reduced to exactly one ambulance, and there was no way to get around that it could only hold one bed. They’d taken Richard first, who had already fallen unconscious, with a hysterical Helen by his side. Craig stayed with Tweek, and if it hadn’t been an indicator that Tweek would survive the night, some of him wished he hadn’t taken so long to pass out too.

“Where’s Dad,” Tweek mumbled, getting woozier by the moment, and he blinked his eyes very slowly. They were glossy and dilated, and his entire body was burning up. Craig had him in an armchair and was on his knees in front of him, having taken both his arms in his own. He gripped Tweek’s forearms tightly. Tweek’s hands were trembling in his lap.

“They took him to the hospital baby, he’s okay,” Craig said, his voice hushed and soft and hurried. His heart was racing, his lungs collapsing, his mind gone blank except for the determination that he had to keep Tweek in the present, right now, and he had no time to waste otherwise. “They’re taking care of him. They’re coming for you too, okay? They’re gonna make you better baby, I promise-”

The piece for Ex was moving in its execution and this is a lot more of the same! There were several stand-out lines that I appreciated that really emphasized just how much Craig is struggling to be a new, single parent, but that he still wants to make it happen for the baby’s sake. His love for her is genuine and very sweet. I appreciate that this isn’t the perfect happy ending to parenthood for them, to subvert a lot of popular tropes. Thank you for writing!

Today’s prompt is:Memory

Hello everyone! Welcome to day four of the May 2018 South Park Drabble Bomb! This prompt, much like the previous day, was built for sadness, but maybe some of you have decided to make some happy memories your topic? I know you’re all little angst masters though, so I’m ready to get my heart broken.  Don’t forget to show your support to the writers by liking, reblogging, or leaving kudos and comments if they’ve posted it on AO3!

A refresher on the prompt:
This one is a very literal use of the theme. A memory can be about anything- it can describe a place, an entire person, a single moment in time, or everything all at once. Is it a painful memory, or a happy one? Has your muse forgotten it? Maybe someone else remembers something that they don’t. How do they feel about that? Is it tied to present day?
