So I took a break from carving and played on the lathe! Here are a couple of Oak French rolling pins!
Here’s a Pecan spoon just finished. I love the color that came out in the grain!!
A little preview of a new spoon carving that I’ve been working on. I actually started carving this Kingfisher spoon at the end of last year and and it is taking forever to carve. The concept and design of the piece is based on some beautiful blue spalting that I found within this piece of Silver Birch wood though that’s almost disappeared whilst I’ve been carving it.
Sorry that this is the first ‘work in progress’ shot for a long time but I’ve been reluctant to share any shots of it due to the ongoing issues with Facebook scammers using my photos to sell fake copies of my work… though I’ve now pretty much had to give up on fighting them as it was becoming a full time job and Facebook aren’t interested in protecting the copyright of individuals (yes, I’m still seething with rage about it!!!).

day 487 : i didn’t think i’d have the spoons to vote…

going to a conference next week (wish me luck surviving socialization and movement non-stop for 4 days) and i won’t be in town to vote. my initial thought was ughhhhhhhh now i need to figure out how to vote another way. and honestly, that was too big of an obstacle for me to file for an absentee ballot - i know it would have been easy, don’t judge me…some things are just too much for me to want to handle

hello wonderful witches,
i’ve made one post before about the financial complications i’m facing as a result of a large, grapefruit sized ovarian cyst that needs to be removed. my surgery is scheduled for april 16th, after which i will need to take 2 weeks off of work for recovery. neither one of my jobs offers paid sick time due to a legal loophole, so i am left with no supplemental income during my recovery.
i recently updated my shop with new items i’ve been working on, including grimoires, herbal booklets, and herbal ritual blends for as little as $3. every single item in my shop is under $10. if you are able to help in any way, i would appreciate it so much.

A lovely hand made copper teaspoon makes for a lovely Friday afternoon tea time. Here is a teaspoon inspired by a quick accidental build with my 7 year old. This morning, I got to make some with my parents. It’s a fun little project that adds so much joy to tea time!
