SKZ DRABBLE-OT8

Being in a pack is basically the antonym for jealousy right? You all share each other, with each other, all the time. Wolves are possessive, but they’re not prone to jealousy, of all things. Humans, on the other hand. Well. That’s a different story altogether.

Title: Jealousy, Jealousy

You’re not a jealous person. You’re not.

But watching the pretty, little omega flirt with Minho across the bar has something heavy and sour settling into the pit of your stomach against the ominous growling emanating from your suddenly engaged wolf.

Minho isn’t flirting back of course, simply offering half a smile in response to her animated words, and in fact, you know him so well you’d say he almost looks bored, glancing past the omega to your waiting drinks

The knowledge does nothing to quell the sudden pang of jealousy eating you up from the inside out.

She laughs, you catch the tinkling high sound over the bustle of the other patrons, and then her hand is touching his arm as she leans in, looking up at him as if he’s said something extremely funny.

You know that move. It’s the oldest one in the book.

You’re out of your seat before you can think.

The omega looks caught off guard, kohl lined eyes going wide, lips parting, as you appear at Minho’s side, hand going down on his arm where hers had just been moments before, as if to wipe away the trace of her.

You see the moment she catches a whiff of your scent-cold and floral-her wolf perking its ears in interest.

Alpha

She suddenly looks smug, pleased with herself, as if you and Minho are going to fight for her attention, two alphas at her disposal.

You don’t even spare her a second glance.

“Minho.” You say sharply beneath your breath and the other alpha glances at you curiously, one perfectly manicured brow raised. You tilt your chin toward the door. “Can we go? Please?”

The omega visibly wilts.

Minho, on the other hand, looks entirely too satisfied as you shift uncomfortably beside him, fingers still curled around his arm.

He’s figured it out.

Thankfully, he doesn’t point it out, instead, patting the back of your hand where it rests on his arm-a little bit sweet, a whole lot sarcastic-and offers you a smile bordering too close to a knowing smirk, eyes sparkling with hidden mirth.

“Of course, sweetheart. Let me just say goodbye to my friendhere-”

You don’t miss the teasing, taunting lilt to his words, and your wolf growls in response.

Your fingers flinch into his skin and Minho glances down to where your hand has now turned into a claw, digging into his forearm.

The smirk has yet to leave his face.

“Or not.”

You hate that he’s seen right through you, know the ride home is going to be living hell, that he won’t let you live this down easily-it’s Minho for god’s sake-but he also doesn’t give the omega a goodbye, let alone another glance, and so maybe, just maybe, the inevitable hassling will have been worth it.

Besides, you learned long ago that when it comes to Lee Minho, you have to take the small victories where you can get them.

******

“I swear, this should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment.” Jisung groans, sitting next to you at the kitchen table, pausing in his chopping to complain to whoever will listen.

You note offhandedly that while your pile of chopped vegetables has grown significantly, Jisung’s is still miniscule in comparison.

“My hand is cramping.” The beta whines, as if none of you heard him the first time, stretching his fingers for maximum effectiveness.

“Yah. Han Jisung.” Minho turns from the stove and holds his dirty spatula menacingly above the suffering beta’s head, a dark glower on his pretty features. “If those vegetables aren’t minced by the time I need them in five minutes, then it’ll be your head on the chopping block next.”

“Hyung.” Jisung whines, widening his eyes pleadingly, but Minho gives him no sympathy, expression steely, before he turns back to the bubbling pot on the stove.

Jisung huffs and glances toward the hall, where Chan has appeared, keys in hand. The beta brightens immediately upon seeing another potential victim for his cause.

Hyung.” The beta whines, long and low in his throat, and Chan pauses in his route to the door, head alpha raising its head at one of his packmate’s obvious distress.

However, he takes one look at Minho, standing menacingly behind the whimpering Jisung with a spatula, and grimaces, offering said beta a sympathetic look.

“Sorry, Jisungie. Gotta go to the studio.”

Chan disappears a little too eagerly as the sound of a door slams down the hall and Jisung rolls his eyes, resuming his chopping with a grumble and a long sigh of “coward” beneath his breath, which you can only guess is aimed toward a certain head alpha.

It’s silent for a moment, the sound of chopping rhythmic and lulling, the pot bubbling merrily on the stove, Minho singing something low and indistinct beneath his breath.

Changbin appears, standing in the doorway to the kitchen, looking as if he’s just come from the gym, and the smell of ash mixed with sweat is suddenly strong as he regards the three of you sagely.

“What’re you making? And how’d you get Jisung to help?” He asks, eyebrow raised, addressing Minho, as he nods toward the still pouting Jisung sitting at the table, dutifully chopping a carrot.

“He threatened him.” You reply back, reaching for another potato, as Jisung shoots you a dark glare, taking way too long to matchstick a piece of celery.

“Ah.” Changbin nods like he gets it, amusement clear on his face.

“Yah. Seo Changbin.” Minho turns his frown on the newly arrived alpha now, and Jisung looks as if Christmas has come early. “Are you going to eat what I make tonight or what?”

Changbin has the decency to look slightly regretful, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck as he suddenly avoids the other alpha’s pointed gaze.

“Sorry, hyung. I gotta stick with shakes. New regiment and shit.”

You and Jisung both groan simultaneously at that, and Changbin looks caught off guard by your reactions, eyebrows disappearing into his hairline.

“God, please don’t tell me you’re gonna put chicken in it again, hyung.” Jisung exclaims, sinking back in his chair and eyeing Changbin like he’s just grown another head, lips pulled down in obvious disgust. “Anything but that.”

“I’m like 96% sure Jackson was joking when he told you that, by the way.” You add, making a face, as you think about Changbin and the slop he and his workout buddies call smoothies.

“Hey.” Changbin protests, waving between the two of you. “Don’t knock it till you try it.”

More echoed groans, and Changbin looks suitably offended.

Jisung gets up from his spot at the table and crosses the kitchen, dumping his vegetables-finally chopped-into the pot that Minho is still carefully stirring. He leans over, putting the sharp jut of his chin on Minho’s shoulder, and instantly pulls a face.

Minho shoots him a glance, expression blank.

“God, hyung, you smell weird.” Jisung takes another long sniff and covers his nose dramatically, stepping away from the alpha, miming retching as he returns to the table to plop back down beside you. “Did you get a new cologne or something?”

“Probably smells like the friendhe made at the bar.” You can’t help but grumble beneath your breath, the poor potato you’re chopping into bite size chunks taking the brunt of your sudden aggression.

Your knife hits a sharp staccato against the cutting board.

“What was that, sweetheart?” Minho turns from the stove, one brow raised in challenge, clearly having heard what you said, giving you another chance to reconsider what you’d said.

You offer him a saccharine, innocent smile, so sweet you feel like your teeth are rotting.

“Nothing.”

Minho hums under his breath approvingly and nods and with one last, long look, returns to the stove, the air suddenly saturated with the sharp spice of amber.

Beneath your knife, the potato splinters into mush.

*****

“Okay, hyung, truth or dare?”

You’re sitting in the living room, the movie playing quietly in the background long since forgotten, when Jeongin turns to Minho, eyes wide and expectant.

Minho rolls his eyes. “Are we in fourth grade? Why do we have to play this?”

“Just answer the question.” You shoot back, matching Minho’s glare as he finally gives in and waves for the youngest omega to continue.

You’re still slightly on edge from earlier, but being surrounded by the smell of oranges as Felix cuddles back against you, sitting entwined on the couch, is helping some.

You reach up and idly run your fingers through the omega’s soft, blonde hair, holding back an affectionate smile as he arches into the touch of your hand like a needy cat.

“Fine. Truth.”
“Boooooring.” Jisung calls out from across the room, not looking up from the game he’s playing on his handheld, Hyunjin eagerly watching over his shoulder.

“Okay. Truth.” Jeongin repeats with a wicked glint in his eye, rubbing his hands together, as if he’s prepared to completely reveal all the truths that make up the enigma that is Minho with just one question.

Minho takes a long sip of his soda as if he doesn’t have a care in the world.

“Whose scent, out of all of us, do you like the most?”

Minho returns the can to the coffee table and sits back, looking completely at ease.

“Easy. Felix.”

Felix grins and blushes in your arms. “Ah, thanks, hyung, that’s really sweet.”

Jisung, however, chokes on his spit from across the room and levels Minho with a shocked look so convincing that you almost believe he’s hurt.

“Yah, what about me?”

Minho smirks. “What about you?”

Jisung mutters something under his breath that sounds an awful lot like cursing Minho’s name and his entire existence, and Hyunjin pats him sympathetically on the head as he sinks back into the end of the couch.

The game goes on like that for a while, a lazy back and forth between your packmates, the room a combined, comforting cocktail of everyone’s scents, making you sleepy, and your eyes are heavy, and you’re almost ready to call it a night, Felix warm and heavy in your arms and practically asleep himself, when Minho drops the bomb.

“(Y/N).”

You glance up at the other alpha, and the mischievous, wicked glint in his dark eyes puts you instantly on edge, hackles rising.

“Truth or dare?”

You’re way too tired to entertain even the thought of a dare, so you answer back immediately, “Truth.”

Minho grins, teeth and expression suddenly sharp, and dammit, you realize too late that you’ve fallen right into his trap.

“Would you say that you’re the jealous type?”

You refuse to play his game.

Keeping your expression blank, you reply simply, “No.”

Minho arches a brow, and his lips part, and he’s so smug you wanna wipe the smirk right off his pretty face.

“Really?” He hums beneath his breath, faking a thoughtful expression, eyes never leaving your own. “Would you care to explain to me what happened earlier then? In the bar? When I was making new ‘friends’?”

The use of your earlier word, confirming your suspicions that he’d heard exactly what you’d said in the kitchen, has you pushing a caught off guard, sleepy Felix into Changbin’s arms and standing up, expression carefully schooled.

“I’m going to bed.”

The air is so heavy with the scent of frost now, you’re surprised you can’t see the cloud of your own breath.

Minho catches up to you in the hallway.

The smell of sharp amber gives him away just before his fingers loop around your wrist, spinning you smoothly to face him, your back slamming up against the closed door of your room as his hands go on either side of your head, effectively caging you in.

So close to safety, yet so far.

“What was that, hm?” He questions in a low voice, head cocked, irises swirling, the expression on his face telling you he already clearly knows exactly ‘what that was.’

“I don’t like being the butt of your jokes, Minho.” You hiss out, staring him down, fingers digging into your crossed forearms in an attempt to remain in some semblance of control.

“I’m afraid I don’t know what joke you’re referring to, sweetheart.”

Your wolf snarls, insistent he’s still making a fool of you, and the frost creeps back in, chilling the air around the two of you.

“Please.” You scoff out, trying to cover up the hurt with anger now, your voice wavering slightly. “Don’t play stupid. You knew what you were doing when you asked that question back there.”

Minho’s brow arches, and his lips quirk slightly, his obvious nonchalance only serving to infuriate you more.

“And what exactly was I doing?”

You look away from him now, because you can feel the tears burning, threatening, and you don’t want him to see you cry.

Damn being an angry crier. Damn it all.

“Making fun of me.” You mutter bitterly, lower lip clenched firmly between your teeth, the scent of amber souring slightly now where it brushes your skin. “Because I got all weird at the bar seeing you with that strange omega and then you-”

Minho leans into your space suddenly, catching you off guard and effectively shutting you up, and you’re surprised, when you look up, to see the sudden, swirling gold creeping into his gaze.

“Sweetheart, sweetheart, sweetheart.” He practically tsks, and you feel like you’re a kid who’s gotten caught with their hand in the candy jar.

Minho sighs, a long suffering sound, and you almost expect him to pinch his nose between his fingers in a show of frustration.

Instead, he leans closer, so that his lips are practically brushing yours with each word he speaks, and a crooked smirk lifts the corners of his mouth, revealing sharp, pointed canines that have your gut clenching up in sudden need.

“I wasn’t joking. About you or anything else.” He practically purrs, letting one of his hands slide off the door and down the column of your throat, fingers splayed against your collarbone like a choker, finger tips barely tracing your scent glands.

He looks entirely too pleased when your breath audibly catches in your throat.

“Then why did you bring it up?” You question, slightly breathless, and curse your body for betraying how attracted you are to Minho in this moment.

God, he’s pretty.

Minho chuckles, a low rumble in his chest accompanied by a fresh wave of spice, and the sound sends warmth flooding through your traitorous body to all the right places.

He tilts his head, studying you heatedly with a molten copper gaze.

“Because, sweetheart,” His full lips quirk into the hint of a self deprecating smile.“As much as I hate to admit it, I guess I find it practically intoxicatingwhen I’m the reason you struggle with your composure.”

Your mouth drops open, and Minho closes it again with one slender finger under your chin.

You have to remind yourself to breathe.

“So you get off on seeing me a mess.”

Minho chuckles again at your blunt words and raises a brow, wetting his lips as his tongue darts out to slowly trace over the outline of his plump mouth, watching the way you follow the motion, teasing you.

“Basically, yeah.”

“God, I hate you.” You breathe out, not meaning it in the slightest, as you tug him to you and slot your mouth with his.

“I really don’t think you do.” Minho murmurs back in between frantic kisses, his fingers tangling into your hair and tugging your head back, angling your lips for better access.

“Shut up.”

You waste no time in slipping your tongue into his mouth and your fingers curl into the material of the hoodie he wears, the air practically heavy now with the mixed smell of your scents.

It’s easy to blindly reach behind you and turn the door knob, letting you both into the dark, quiet of your room, easy to stumble backward toward the waiting bed, fingers still tangled in the front of Minho’s sweatshirt, easy to strip him in the pitch black, fumbling with layers of clothes, hands tracing the lithe, toned lines of his body, skin warm beneath your fingertips.

Minho takes his time, it’s something you’ve always admired about him, the attention to detail he uses when slowly but surely taking you apart, piece by piece, inch by inch.

“What do you want, hm?” He whispers against the column of your throat, nips with his teeth, traces deliberate fingers over your aching scent gland, revels in the way you arch up into him. “Tell me, sweetheart.”

It’s an easy enough question, with an obvious enough answer.

“Make me a mess.”

Minho grins, all sharp angles and white teeth and golden irises, and rolls his hips against your own, and you know he’s got you right where he wants you, knows in the way your fingers tremble as they tangle into his hair, in the way the scent of wisteria spikes, tangling with the sharp notes of amber.

Minho leans in, taking in the way you’re panting, squirming beneath him, practically begging him silently, and raises a brow, before nipping lightly along your mating mark as if it’s a promise of things to come.

“Good girl.”

29-“This is a terrible idea.”

“Do you want to go home?”

“Hell no! This is the most fun I’ve had in years!”

{8:38 pm}

This was soooooo not going to end well. Why were my friends so DUMB? I’m not ready to go to jail!

But too bad for me that my friends were convincing and quote unquote called me a “party pooper” so here we are.

I sighed staring at the black material in my hands. I slipped it over my head, briefly obstructing my vision before I was ready to go. My hair was hidden under the material that matched the rest of my clothing. With a deep breath I stepped out of the van…yeah I said vAN.

The entire thing would end with us probably in jail and I was starting to regret this so hard. “This is a terrible idea!” I shouted at my friends as we all dived head first into the van rushing to get outta there.

“ThIS Is A TeRrIbLe iDeA.” Jisung mimicked me smirking. I glared at him not impressed.

“Guys! This is serious we could get into huge trouble for this!”

“Oh come on y/n where is your sense of adventure?” Chan teased.

Do you want to go home?” Minho asked me holding my hands.

I thought about it. Yeah it was a bad idea and we could have serious consequences, but I was actually having fun and didn’t want to ruin the boys’ fun too.

“You know what. Not only no, but hell no! This is the most fun I’ve had in years!” I smiled wider when I saw Minho begin to grin too.

“Then come on we’ve got four bags full of money, a full tank of gas, and an empty road!” Minho grinned widely pulling me to the sunroof and shouting in joy.

“Does this mean we are obligated to make more bad decisions tonight?” Jisung asked smirking.

“Tonight we are young, wild, and free. Let’s make the most of it!” Chan hollered flooring the gas pedal.

2 - “Why is there a duckling floating in the bathtub?” - girl rescues a duckling from side of the road and brings in home. Bf discovers it and they become duck parents.

{2:32 pm}

Chan was utterly so grateful for the break they were given. With promotions going on the boys had been working left and right, day and night. Luckily the company had seen how hard they had been working and decided to give them a well deserved break.

Chan was just ready to go home to cuddle his girlfriend and maybe take her out to dinner as a date and a thank you for her being so understanding. What he didn’t expect to find was a suspiciously quiet house. He slipped his shoes off and shuffled through the living room and kitchen and found them empty. Next he tried the bedroom and as soon as he stepped foot into the room he heard the unmistakable sound of the tub faucet turning off.

He smiled softly happy that his girlfriend was home. He softly knocked on the door expecting her to reply, but all he heard was a gasp and shuffling. The door slid open and she looked suspicious as she wasn’t letting him see inside the bathroom.

“H-hey babe you’re home early…” She smiled sheepishly.

Chan narrowed his eyes at her. “Hi baby. Whatcha doing?”

She stared up at him grinning trying to slip out of the bathroom without him seeing in. “Oh you know just…chilling?” It came off as more of a question which piqued his interest even more.

Chan raised his eyebrow. “Uh huh. What’s in the bathroom babe?”

Her eyes widened and she quickly stepped out and shut the door not letting him see inside. “What are you hiding?” Chan teased stepping closer.

“N-nothing! There is definitely nothing in the bathroom and we should leave it be.” She knew she just revealed way too much info.

Chan smirked hand reaching around her frame for the doorknob, while his other arm snaked around her waist to tug her to the side. “Then you wouldn’t mind if I looked inside!” In one swift motion Chan had moved her out of the way and slid the door open.

Silence. Blinking. More silence.

“Baby?” Chan called for her. “Why is there a duckling floating in the bathtub?”

“Funny story actually. I may have saw it on the side of the road and I couldn’t just let it stay there to die so I rescued it….surprise?” She smiled sheepishly hoping he wouldn’t be angry.

Chan blinked at his girlfriend before he slowly began to grin widely. “You are so lucky that I love you. Come on we can’t be duck parents unless you introduce me!”

60-“When I saw his face, I could see our entire future together. But when I looked into her eyes, all I could see were galaxies and possibilities.”

61-“Are you new here? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before.“

"Yeah, we’ve only met in your dreams. You’re even more beautiful in person.”

62-“DONT cover your marks. I want people to know you’re not for sale.”

“…so I’m an object?”

“No! Never! Sorry that came out wrong. But you are mine and I’d like people to keep their hands off.”

63-“(member full name)” “Yes (member last name) (y/f/n)?”” We aren’t married?” “Not yet babe”

64-“nope no kids!” “Why not :(((?” “I have to look after YOU!”

65. “Hey baaabe…"

“Yeeeaaah???"

“You never said we were expecting company."

"I never said what-” pauses and stands protectively in front of them. In a deep voice and darkened eyes “What are you doing here?”

66-“okay this is going to seem absolutely crazy but I need you to run!”

“You want me to RUN?? I’m sorry running is a SIN!”

“It’s either that or be eaten take your pick.”

“If I choose eaten does that make me a snack or a meal?”

67-“oh please I bet you can’t even kiss a girl sweetly . All you know how to do is be rough.”

Slams hands on desk. “But you like it rough don’t you? I can see it. But that’ll have to wait for another time.”

Scoff. “Another time? Like you’re gonna get a first time-“

68. “Why did I ever trust you!?!?"

"Baby, don’t say things like that! You can trust me!!"

"YOU ATE THE LAST SLICE OF BANANA BREAD WHEN I PUT A SPECIAL STICKY NOTE ON IT."

"I’m sorry ”

 "No this marriage is over.“

"We aren’t married.”

 "You’re right we aren’t now.”

69. “Don’t touch me. Don’t look at me. Don’t think about me. Don’t *shaky breath* just *voice breaks* don’t.”

"Love, let me explain. That wasn’t me.“

"It wasn’t you?? If it wasn’t you, then who was it???? Hmm!"

"My twin.”

70. “Hey! Do me a favor will ya?”

“Yeah sure what do you - is that, why is there blood on your shirt?

“Kiss me.”

“W h a t?”

Kisses and pulls back after people pass them.

“Thanks.”

“Yeah sure whatever…blushes

Your head shook as you glanced out of the window of your apartment, spotting the boys walking down the pavement and towards the apartment block. You shouted through to Minho straight away as he walked through with your son.

“How come the one time we want them to be late, they’re on time,” Minho sighed across at you, “I’ve not even managed to change my own clothes yet, I’ve been busy changing him.”

You walked across and took your son out of Minho’s arms, “the boys aren’t going to care what you’re dressed like, they know that you’re a new dad. However, I definitely think they’ll be watching Y/S/N, this is one of the baby grows that they bought for him, isn’t it?”

Minho nodded back at you, having searched through most of your son’s wardrobe to make sure that he had an outfit prepared for him that would impress the boys, finding one of the many baby grows they bought you before your son arrived.

You had left the boys waiting for long enough, after a week of your son, they couldn’t wait any longer to stop by and visit you all. Even as you watched them all walk, you could see how excited they were heading towards your apartment.

“I hope you know that you’re about to meet your crazy uncles,” you smiled down to your son, “you’re in trouble.”

“Hey, I’m friends with those uncles, are you calling me crazy too?”

Your head nodded straight back at Minho, luckily interrupted by a knock at your door before Minho could protest back to you, ushering him across to go and answer the door to the boys.

The noise picked up as soon as the door opened, with the seven of them rushing across to you. “Hi,” you laughed, stepping back to give you and your son some space as the boys all leant forwards to take a look at him.

Whilst their eyes were on your son, your eyes were looking at the many bags of presents that they held in their hands. Every single time you saw them, they had new treats for the three of you, and today was no exception.

“Look at how adorable he is,” Hyunjin smiled to start with, “he’s so lucky that he’s managed to get Y/N’s genes and not Minho’s.”

A chuckle came from you as Minho looked with an offended stare back across to Hyunjin, folding his arms over his chest.

“How do you know he’s not got my genes?” Minho challenged.

“He’s cute, there’s no way that your genes could do that,” Hyunjin teased.

Minho’s head shook back at him, “that’s you at the bottom of the order for getting to hold Y/S/N in that case.”

Whilst Hyunjin went to the bottom of the pack, Chan had already decided that as the eldest he was first, placing his present bags down on the floor before holding his hands out as soon as you offered your son to him.

“How are you guys doing too?” Felix enquired as everyone started to sit down on the sofas and chairs that you had set out.

“How much sleep have you had?” Changbin asked too.

Your head shook back across to Changbin first, “I don’t think I can even remember what sleep actually is, it’s been so long since I slept properly.”

“Y/S/N likes to wake up in the night,” Minho explained to all of them. “I swear he has something that knows when we’re just about to fall asleep. It’s as if someone presses a switch on him as soon as we try and close our eyes.”

“It’ll get easier,” Seungmin smiled across at the two of you, “the first couple of weeks whilst you adjust are always the hardest, but Y/S/N will get used to things too.”

You smiled appreciatively back across to Seungmin, as did Minho too. “We’ve been by ourselves which hasn’t helped,” Minho noted, “I wish we had someone around to babysit for a little while so that we could go and sleep for an hour without worrying about him.”

Several of the boys looked across at the two of you with wide eyes, almost as if the answer to your lack of sleep was staring you right in the face. You and Minho both exchanged a glance, knowing exactly what they were implying.

“What could possibly go wrong if the seven of us watch over Y/S/N for an hour or so?” Jisung asked the two of you, “we know where you are if you need help.”

“Between the seven of us, surely we can figure this out,” Jeongin told you both, full of confidence that the boys would be able to get things under control. “I mean we’ve got to start practicing somewhere, and isn’t Y/S/N perfect?”

As apprehensive as you were, the thought of being able to sleep was very appealing to you both. “Can we really trust you guys? We’re not going to sleep, wake up, and come back out to our apartment turned upside down, are we?”

“Of course, not,” Changbin assured the two of you too. “There’s plenty of baby books around, and we all have phones to search up any questions that we might have if we get into a bit of trouble at some point too.”

You glanced across to Minho yet again, who was already shuffling towards the edge of the sofa. He was exhausted to say the least, even just an hour to be able to close his eyes felt like a dream for him with how tired he was.

Reluctantly, you began to stand from the sofa too. “If you guys get stuck, you promise that you’ll come and knock on our bedroom door and wake one of us up, won’t you?”

“Y/N, you’ve got nothing to worry about,” Chan assured you.

Your head nodded as Minho intertwined his hand in with yours, “let’s just trust them,” Minho told you, leading you towards the bedroom. “If anything happens, we know early on that we can never trust them to babysit again.”

You looked around at all of the boys who all nodded their heads at you. Minho continued to pull you across to the bedroom, reminding you of how nice sleep would be for the two of you for a little while.

“Come on,” Minho laughed, managing to get you towards the bedroom, opening up the door and leading you in. “Y/S/N’s fast asleep, even those idiots can look after a sleeping baby for a bit of time.”

“What if something does happen?” You continued to fret.

“Don’t worry,” Minho assured you, sitting you down on the bed. “they’ll shout if they need us, and like Changbin said, they’ll search for help if they need it. Let’s just sleep for an hour, and then we can go and check on them.”

Your head nodded as you laid yourself down, “if they manage to look after Y/S/N, does this mean we can use the boys for babysitters more often?”

“Absolutely,” Minho chuckled back across to you, “I’m pretty sure that the boys would love to volunteer as babysitters as much as they possibly can too. If anything, they’ll want to prove to us that they can do it today.”

“I hope you’re right,” you whispered, cuddling into Minho’s side, “I dread to think slightly what we might go back out there too once we’ve had a nap.”

Yet another laugh came out of Minho, “they might be crazy, but I’m sure that they are going to dote over our little boy out there.”

“Me too, they already adore him,” you smiled.

“How can you not? He’s the sweetest.”

Masterlist

It was instinct in you to start humming as you listened to the song playing on the radio, tapping your hand against the side of the coffee machine as you waited for it to clean. The store was empty, which was lucky for you after another long night of studying, making life easy.

There was a bitterness in your heart as you enjoyed the song, recognising each one of the voices that sung it. Each one of them had a connection to you, but one in particular meant more to you than most, even after several years apart.

Once the coffee machine was clean, you turned back to the counter to see it was still clear, sighing in relief. Unlike the till, the tables were busy, watching as some people studied, others chattered, and some just enjoyed the peace and quiet of the café after taking a walk in the fresh spring air that was outside.

Deciding not to stand around, you spun back and began to wipe down one of the counters that you were yet to clean after your lunch service, humming along to yourself again as you made sure that things were spotless.

“Y/N, is that you?”

Your humming soon stopped as a voice called out your name, slowly turning around. Your eyes widened as you watched a familiar blonde figure walking towards the till, chuckling when they realised that it was you.

“I didn’t know you worked here.”

“For two years now Felix.”

You couldn’t remember the last time you saw Felix, or any of the boys for that matter. Your heart raced as he smiled across at you, despite the rise to fame that he had been on, he still seemed like the same humble Felix you knew.

“How have none of us seen you?” Felix chuckled.

Your shoulders shrugged as you moved towards the till too, “I guess I must just be working different shifts to your schedules.”

“Chan will be so happy to hear that I’ve seen you,” Felix told you as he ordered a few coffees to take back to work, watching as your expression dropped quickly.

Just the mention of Chan’s name made you smile, still never quite able to move on. Your breakup had been sudden, right at the start of his debut when things started to get too much for him, thinking it was for the best.

Little did you know that he still talked about you, still wondered about you too. Felix knew as soon as he saw you that he needed to tell Chan, even if he didn’t want to see you, it would be peace of mind for him that you were alright.

“You don’t mind if I tell you him, do you Y/N?” Felix asked you, noticing you getting distant behind the counter, only for your head to shake in reply.

You feared what would happen next for the following few days. Each time the door to the café opened, you jumped, staring across at the door only to see one of your regulars popping in, or a face you hadn’t seen before.

After a couple of days you began to settle a little more, assuming that Chan wasn’t going to stop by. You weren’t too sure what Felix had said, or if he had said anything at all, but you hoped that perhaps Chan would make the effort to see you if he knew where you were.

Part of you couldn’t help but wonder that maybe he still felt guilty, unable to bring himself to see you after how he’d left things. You could hardly blame him if he was, you still remembered the way your heart hurt the day he called it quits.

Through the week, your eyes stopped looking and your heart stopped racing, forgetting all about Felix, and Chan too. Things slotted back into normal for you, still hearing their songs on the radio and trying your best not to seem bothered by them.

The same day the following week, you were lucky to work the quiet shift again. With no one around you started tidying once again, throwing away the empty sandwich wrappers that you had nervously tossed aside whilst serving customers.

“So he was right, it is you.”

It felt like déjà vu for you as straight away you recognised the familiar voice from behind the counter. It was similar to Felix’s, but different at the same time, and as you turned around, your guesses were absolutely right.

You didn’t quite know where to look or what to say as Chan smiled across at you. He had waited all week to see you, opting to show up at the same time that Felix did in the hope that your shifts were consistent every single week.

“You look well,” Chan spoke up as you took a couple of steps towards the counter. “I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to see you.”

Your head nodded back at Chan, fiddling with the leftover material on the tie of your apron to try and distract yourself from looking across at Chan and engaging too much.

“Can I get you something?”

His head shook as you pointed to the menu hung up on the wall. “It’s not a drink or food that I’ve come here for Y/N, it’s you,” Chan responded, “I wanted to come and see you after so long, I never really got the chance to say sorry for how things ended between us.”

Remembering the moment still sent a shiver down your spine, how he called you to come over only to leave you there stunned, never quite getting a true explanation either.

“You hurt me so much Chan.”

“I know that.”

He never stopped feeling guilty for splitting up with you, it hurt him too not being with you anymore. He thought it was for the best, he was debuting after all and the pressure was already too much for him, thinking wrongly that you only added to it.

“I hate how things turned out, I tried to find you for so long, but in the end, I just gave up,” Chan told you. “I used to sit for so long and try and find any way possible to be able to make things better, but I never quite found the way.”

Your head nodded as Chan spoke, mainly not wanting to cause a scene amongst the other customers in the café. Your heart both wanted to scream and reach out and give him a hug to remind yourself of just how good the old days were.

“The last thing I thought before you dumped me was I think I love you, do you know how much that hurt to suddenly have the person who you love decide they don’t want you anymore?” You asked him, “nothing has ever hurt me that much.”

“I’m sorry, for everything,” Chan repeated once again, “I know it’s been a long time, but I thought at least coming here and seeing you would show you that I still care.”

“What is it that you’re here for Chan?” You asked him, with a long list of things to do.

His head nodded understandingly, knowing that he needed to cut the chase whilst you earnt your living, noticing a customer walking through the door.

“What about a fresh start?” He enquired.

Your eyes widened as he asked, slightly taken aback. “I think maybe we need to talk more before we even consider that.”

“What time does your shift finish tonight? I’ll take you somewhere.”

“I finish at six,” you told him.

“I’ll be back outside at six on the dot.”

A sigh came from you as you lowered yourself down onto the sofa in the dorm, feeling Jisung hold onto you to help you down. The rest of the boys all watched on, as ever they were prepared to step in if they needed to and try their best to help you out.

“Can we get you anything Y/N?” Hyunjin asked you once you appeared to settle, resting your hand against your bump.

Your head shook back at him with an appreciative smile, “I’m alright. I don’t quite know what it was that you ordered for dinner, but whatever it was, it was absolutely amazing.”

“I remember the days when you used to be terrified of spice,” Jeongin smirked from across the room, “these days you eat it with every single meal.”

None of the boys could believe how much your pregnancy had changed your interests in food. These days you wanted spicy everything leaving everyone stunned, with everyone being used to ordering you plain spice on everything.

The food wrappers were still lying around the living room floor and table, everyone was far too full to tidy up just yet. You had reluctantly gotten up to use the toilet, with your baby pressing down and leaving you with no other choice but to dart across the room.

“How far along are you now Y/N?” Chan quizzed as he watched you with a wide smile.

“It’s nearly six months,” you grinned, looking around at each of the boys who were all listening to you. “I dread to think how everything will be in three months, my bump will be huge, I’ll be needing the toilet constantly too.

Every single one of the boys were excited, none of them could wait for your baby to arrive. They had all been pretty much glued to your side, helping you even when Jisung was there too.

“We’ll be able to help you with everything that you need,” Changbin quickly assured you, “I mean we already sorted out your baby shower, and we gave no clues on the gender too.”

Be quiet,” Jisung instantly called out as soon as the gender was mentioned.

It was the one thing that he wanted not to know, whether you were having a boy or a girl. Unlike Jisung, you decided that you did want to find out, agreeing that you would keep it a secret from him until your baby arrived with the two of you.

“Why can’t you just know?” Seungmin asked Jisung, “all we want to do is be able to buy you things with a bit of colour, but we can’t because you’ll guess the gender.”

Jisung’s shoulders shrugged in reply, deciding that it wasn’t his problem to worry about. He trusted the boys, you, and everyone else around him to be careful enough to not let it slip and ruin the surprise that he was looking forward to.

“It’s ridiculous,” Felix sighed back across at him.

“We’ve got three boxes hidden in your old room of things that we’re only going to be able to give you once the baby arrives because of you,” Minho added, shooting a glare across at Jisung. “Why wait another three months?”

Jisung returned the stare, moving it around at all of the boys, “I decided that I don’t want to know, you’re not going to be able to change my mind however much you try to.”

“You’re so boring,” Hyunjin teased, shaking his head at Jisung.

In response, Jisung picked up one of the cushions from the sofa and threw it across at him. “One day when you all settle down, you’ll understand.”

“But everyone else knows,” Jeongin tried his best to get Jisung to see, “you’re the one that’s making us have to tiptoe around and be careful. Your baby will definitely be dramatic like you.”

In the middle of their squabbles, you found yourself having to stand up from the sofa again. The call for the toilet was loud from your baby, barely giving you the chance to get comfortable before you had to move across the dorm.

“Y/N, are you alright?” Chan asked, noticing you slowly rising to your feet. He stood up to help, but your head nodded, assuring him that you were alright.

You were slower than usual, but the boys didn’t mind. Instead, they moved the furniture around a bit to make moving around the dorm a little bit easier for you.

Their eyes were all on you once again as you moved, making sure that if you needed them, that they were there. Jisung especially moved to sit on the edge of the sofa, knowing that you were far from stable on your feet anymore as you tried to carry your bump around.

“Is she making you go to the toilet again?” Changbin asked you, calling out to you. As his mouth closed though, all eyes were on him with no idea as to why. Changbin stared back at everyone cluelessly, trying to figure out what was going on.

“She’s making Y/N go to the toilet?” Jisung enquired, making sure that he hadn’t misheard.

When Changbin sunk down in the sofa and stayed quiet, Jisung looked across to you. The nervous smile that was on your face let him know that he had in fact heard right, with Changbin accidentally spilling, without even realising that he was doing it.

Jisung stood up from the sofa after a few moments, making his way across to you. As soon as he was close enough, his arms wrapped around you, twirling you around. “I’m so happy that we’re having a girl Y/N,” he whispered into your ear.

“You’re not mad that you know?”

“Honestly, I was hoping for a girl all along,” he replied as he placed you back down on his feet, “I wanted to have another you.”

“Another me?” You laughed back at him, “you constantly complain that it’s hard work having one of me, let alone two.”

Behind the two of you, Changbin was getting a scolding, but Jisung had forgotten all about that with his eyes focused on you instead, with a wide smile on his face too.

“I’m only ever joking when I tell you that,” he smiled, “I’d have thousands of you if I could.”

Your eyes rolled as Jisung squeezed against you, glancing down at your baby bump excitedly, relieved to know that he had a little girl growing inside there.

“I can’t wait to be a dad to a little girl,” Jisung whispered, leaning forward to press a kiss to the tip of your nose. “I can’t wait to be a family of three and to have all of the fun things that families get to do together.”

“Does this also mean that we can hand those stupid boxes that we’re keeping to you guys?” Minho called out, interrupting the two of you.

Your head nodded with a chuckle, “we can take any pink, red, orange, purple, or anything else, you guys don’t need to hide anything from him anymore.”

“What about all of the blue things that we bought as a decoy?” Felix asked you both with a smirk on his face.

Your head nodded once again at him too, relieved at least that you didn’t have to be careful around Jisung anymore. “You know that this now means that you can throw our baby shower with the gender involved, you don’t have to be careful anymore.”

“We’d just brought a load of black and white,” Hyunjin frowned.

“That sounds perfect to us guys.”

Bang Chan:

Your hand brushed gently over the top of Chan’s head as he made himself comfortable resting into you, curling as tightly as he could against you.

“You’re always so comfy to lay against,” he whispered once he felt settled, feeling your arm wrap around him to keep him secure too.

Your smile was wide as you noticed the content smile that was on Chan’s face. “You always look after other people, it’s about time that other people started looking after you more often Chan.”

“I like looking after people though,” he assured you, “although I have to admit being cuddled by you right now is nice.”

You leant down as he spoke, pressing several kisses against the top of his head. “Even if no one else does, I’ll always look after you, even if that is something as simple as being the big spoon.”

“I honestly don’t know how I’d be here without you sometimes,” Chan told you, “you’re just the absolute best thing ever.”

“That’s not true,” you giggled in reply, “you don’t give yourself enough credit, you just give it to those around you.”

“I mean it, I’m one lucky guy Y/N.”

Lee Know:

Your eyes flickered down as soon as you heard Minho muttering, trying your best to figure out what it was that he was saying as he dosed in your hold.

“You’re so cute,” you figured out, unable to stop yourself from chuckling as you tried to see whether he was asleep or if he was still awake.

The sound of your chuckle made Minho stir, letting you know that he was still awake after all. “Are you aware that you just called me cute or did you mean to say that to someone in your daydream?”

“No, I meant to say it to you,” Minho smiled weakly, tilting his head back to see you, “you’re cuddling me so nicely.”

Your eyes narrowed down at him, focusing on the wide smile that was on his face. “What have you done? This isn’t the Minho that I know,” you joked, “being the little spoon has changed you.”

“I haven’t done anything,” Minho assured you, “is it so wrong of me to lay here and tell you how adorable I think you are.”

“Normally you’re mean to me,” you reminded him, kissing against his forehead, “it’s taking some getting used to.”

“I’m just being kind to you.”

Changbin:

A hum came from Changbin as your hand began to brush through his hair, letting you know that he was enjoying what it was that you were doing.

“Can you tug a little bit harder?” He asked you, enjoying the feeling of your hand brushing through his hair to try and untangle it all.

Your head nodded, although you didn’t tug as harder as he wanted you to. “I don’t want to hurt you Chang, you’re supposed to be trying to rest and sleeping,” you told him, taking things slowly.

“I don’t mind, my head feels like it needs it,” he assured you, taking your hand and showing you how hard to tug.

Your eyes widened as you felt how much stronger he wanted you to play with his hair. “If you wake up in the morning and all of your hair has fallen out, I hope that you know it’s your fault.”

“That won’t happen,” he giggled, “just pull enough to untangle my hair and apply a bit of pressure to my head as well.”

“Alright,” you whispered, encouraging him to close his eyes again as you tugged through his hair as he had shown you to do.

“That’s it, much more comfortable for me.”

Hyunjin:

Your hand reached up as you managed to take a hold of Hyunjin’s hair, twirling it around in your fingertips as you unknotted it after his busy day.

“This is another advantage to me being the little spoon,” he whispered as he felt your touch, “easy access to play with my hair for you.”

You could only laugh as Hyunjin made another mental note of something else that was working. “You’re just going to use all these advantages to get your own way next time I little spoon.”

“No,” Hyunjin protested with a gasp, shaking his head firmly at you, “I’ll just remind you of these when you tell me no.”

Your hand tugged a little harder on his hair to make him groan, “they’re the same thing,” you reminded him, “and I can think of many advantages of when I’m the little spoon too you know.”

“Like what?” He pushed, “I bet that you list of advantages of little spooning is nowhere near as long as my list of advantages is Y/N.”

“For starters, you play with my hair,” you counteracted, “maybe we should just agree to split the role from now on.”

“I think I can push to doing that.”

Han:

As another soft giggle came from Jisung as he rested against you, you couldn’t help but wind him up more as you tickled against his sides quickly.

“Y/N,” he yelled, quickly trying to push you off as he found himself laughing more, “you’re supposed to cuddle me nicely thank you.”

Your shoulders shrugged as you tried to tickle Jisung as much as you could before you pulled away to let him breathe again. “I’m just getting you back for all the times that you’ve tickled me before.”

“I never tickle you,” he argued, knowing full well himself that it was a lie. “Alright, maybe I’ve tickled you once or twice before.”

Your eyes widened at how much he downplayed how annoying he could be to you as you got ready for bed. “Either start speaking honestly or I’ll be more than happy to start tickling you again.”

“Maybe I tickle you every now and then,” Jisung reluctantly admitted, “but does it make you smile every time I do it?”

“What choice do I have?” You smirked back at him, “you know how much I love whenever someone tickles me Jisung.”

“Then I think I’m being kind to you.”

Felix:

Your eyes looked back in confusion as Felix rested himself against your chest suddenly as you moved around the kitchen to start preparing for dinner.

“This feels quite nice, I get used to this,” he whispered to himself, wrapping his arms around you too as he walked in front your figure.

Your head shook as you tried to make sure that you weren’t in some sort of dream. “Are you trying to stop me from making dinner or something?” You asked Felix, unsure what he was up to.

“No, I’m just getting a feel for what I could be like if I was the little spoon,” he replied, “but in bed, not standing up.”

Your eyebrows knitted together as Felix only left you feeling more confused. “What made you decide to do that now?” You asked him, feeling his grip around you tighten to stay where he was.

“Now is usually the only chance that I can get to you,” he explained, “with this in mind, what about me being the little spoon tonight Y/N?”

“Do I get much of a choice?” You laughed, knowing that Felix already had his mind made up on how you’d be sleeping.

“I’m glad we agree on that one.”

Seungmin:

The pout on Seungmin’s face had your attention straight away as he turned to face you, sensing from the look in his eye that he wanted something.

“How do you feel about being the big spoon tonight?” Seungmin asked you as he turned to face away from you, “I could do with a hug.”

Without arguing, you moved forwards and wrapped both of your arms around Seungmin’s waist. “Has something happened?” You whispered to his ear, resting against his shoulder.

“Just been one of those days,” Seungmin murmured in reply to you, too tired to speak too much to you about things.

Your head nodded, picking up on just how groggy his voice was. “It feels weird for us to lay like this, you’re usually the one holding onto my waist and tickling me to make me stay awake with you.”

“I don’t tickle you,” Seungmin protested with a quiet giggle, “it’s not my fault that you are just incredibly sensitive to everything that I do.”

“No one wants to be tickled at midnight,” you laughed back at him, “you’ve just got a cute face to get away with it.”

“One thing I definitely am is cute.”

I.N:

Your arms wrapped securely around Jeongin as soon as he laid down on the bed, pulling him in tightly so he could rest against your front.

“Thank you,” he whispered as you pressed a kiss against the top of his head, knowing how stressed he had been whilst at work all day.

Your head nodded as Jeongin tilted his head back to briefly be able to look up at you. “I get it,” you whispered, needing only few words for the two of you to understand one another.

“You’re the best,” Jeongin replied, stunned yet again by how well you knew him without him even needing to say a word.

As soon as you heard him sigh walking through the front door, you knew what to do. “We can lay here all night long if you want,” you assured him, knowing how helpful a hug was for his stress.

“I’d like that a lot,” Jeongin smiled as he turned his head back down again to lay more comfortably. “I would tell you about work, but I’m tired Y/N.”

“There’s always tomorrow,” you reminded him, “you can tell me over breakfast if you fancy before we go to work.”

“Yeah, I’d really like to do that.”
