Studyblr is kinda like hanging your assignments you’re proud of on the fridge but virtual.
This is my favorite tags on this post. Let’s be honest we’re all here because we didn’t get academically validated by our parents
okay so fish and i (august) have been gaining quite a few new followers over here, so i figure it’s about the right time to say something i’ve been thinking about for quite a while: whether productivity, studyblr’s key concept, is helpful or objectively harmful depends on how we define it. what is “productive” looks different for everyone and varies based on any given day. sometimes, to be productive is to get up, take a shower, and go for a walk at some point in the day. sometimes, to be productive is to get up at 6 and focus on blocks of studying all day. but unless we acknowledge and support the first possibility and those like it, we are creating a community that is objectively inaccessible and sells a lifestyle both unachievable and potentially unhealthy for many. when you discuss “productivity”, consider what you mean, and whether you’re falling into the capitalist trap that defines success based only on achievement within predominant systems around you, or whether your understanding of success includes personal levels of effort and self-maintenance; self love before external ideas of ‘triumph’.

Spent some time in the library studying Korean
it’s difficult, but at some point, we’re all gonna have to learn that in order to succeed, we gotta keep trying. so stop being angry at yourself failing at new things, because failing is normal. rome wasn’t built in a day, y’all.

❓What would you name your boat if you had one?
✏️ I think I would name my boat Beatrice because I’m a huge fan of the A Series of Unfortunate Events Life update: We had our first midterms examination for the new semester earlier this week. It feels good to study again but also really stressful. I’m trying my best to stay active on all of my social media accounts.
Currently reading: Atomic Habits by James Clear. I have been enjoying this book so far! It’s remarkable. I have a Goodreads account in case you are interested on the books I’m reading.
Thank you for tuning in today’s post ❤️

❓ What are your favorite cartoon shows as a kid?
✏️ I really liked Codename: Kids Next Door, Higglytown Heroes, Little Einstein, and Baby Loony Tunes. I also remember watching lots of Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and the animated Mr. Bean. Adventure Time and Phineas & Ferb are also great shows. Growing up, I now like the cartoons Avatar: The Last Airbender, Hilda, We Bare Bears, and Steven Universe. Now that I think about it, I was tuning in on quite a lot of cartoon shows Do you know where I can rewatch some of these?
Life update: Our classes for the new semester started last week and I’m having quite a hard time transitioning from an unproductive holiday break to a semester jam-packed with workload. I find myself waking up early but procrastinating and not making the most out of my time. I hope I pass through this phase because my backlogs are starting to file up.
Currently reading: The Beatrice Letters by Lemony Snicket
That’s all for today’s post!

❓Today’s question: What was the last movie you watched?
I’m currently torn on what the topic of these long captions I’ve been trying to write should be Do you want to hear how my student life has been lately or do you want me to talk about something else? I was thinking of maybe giving a few study tips every now and then but I think it will be best if you went ahead and check my Youtube channel for that because that’s where I explain study tips with more depth. I’m only a few days away from the new semester and I haven’t really done anything borderline ~productive~ to prepare for what’s ahead of me.
Currently reading: The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events 13th Book)

❓Today’s question: How do you cheer yourself up after a bad day?
✏️ For this semester, I will be taking the following subjects: Ophthalmic Optics, Physiological Optics 2, Human Histology & Embryology, Microbiology & Parasitology, The Contemporary World, and Ethics. They all sound like promising subjects and my schedule this semester is definitely better than my jam-packed sched on the last one. I guess I’m just nervous because last sem really took a toll on my mental health and I don’t want to spiral and allow that to happen again. Anyways, it was too cold to function properly today and I ended up taking a long and uncalled for nap. ❄️
Currently reading: The Penultimate Peril (A Series of Unfortunate Events 12th book) Thank you for tuning in today’s post and for reading this far.
