“‘Tori,” you groan, feeling your body drag across the mattress as Tendou pulls you closer.
He chuckles, nuzzling his face into the back of you neck, peppering soft kisses against the skin. His arms tighten around your waist before he mumbles a soft, “good morning.”
The deep roughness of his unused voice makes your skin prickle, a soft giggle following immediately after the giddy chill zips down your spine. You squirm in his hold, forcing him to loosen his bone crushing grip, so you can turn and face him. “G’morning,” you whisper back, soft voice still laced with sleep.
Craning your head up, you press a delicate kiss against his jaw before bury your face into his bare chest. He smiles, dropping his head down to rest his chin against the crown of your head. It’s uncomfortable, strained pressure building at his nape, but it’s easily ignored. His discomfort can wait, much preferring to be as close to you as possible.
Tendou is usually energetic, bouncing around with endless stamina and chatting animatedly with anyone who will listen. But in the morning, he lets himself relax and enjoy the moment. Wrapped around you, covered in a blanket of shared body heat, shaded by a cover of darkness from the black-out curtains. He lives for these little moments, where it feels like nothing exists except the two of you.
All he can smell if your intoxicating scent, feel the warmth of your skin radiating onto him, hear your soft breathes as you soak in his embrace. It’s perfection in its purest form, and an essential part of Tendou’s day. If not for you, he’s not sure if he’d be able to move with such a vigor spring in his step.
While he’s always been considered boundlessly excitable, you brought out a whole new side of him. One he considers more vulnerable, more affectionate, less fearful of rejection. He knows, no matter what life throws at him, he’ll always have his rock to support him through it.
He holds you closer, nearly smothering you against him as a sudden swell of emotion takes over. Looking down, he can hardly see your sleep-lidded eyes, but it doesn’t matter. He has every detail of you engraved into his memory. “I love you,” sincerity drips from his words before his lips meet yours, making you taste the sweet confession.
You smile into the kiss, breaking away just enough to speak. Your lips ghost over his own as you whisper back an equally heartfelt, “I love you, too.”
Day 3 of Ushiten Week: Secret Talent. Not so secret for their poor team but Tendou is very flexible, and likes to flaunt this during practice He is a menace.
Day 2 of Ushiten Week: Phobias. I think distance would be really hard for the two of them. Tendou can’t read Ushijima through text and Ushijima doesn’t know how to carry a conversation. So that leads to feelings of self-doubt for both of them.
Goshiki is very loved Even after the third years graduate they all stay up to send Goshiki birthday wishes (so does Kogane ofc, being the good boyfriend that he is). Happy Birthday lil bowlcut kiddo!
