I recently went through my old art folders and found a study that I did back in 2018 of the famous “The Swing” painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. I immediatley pictured Isabela Madrigal from Encanto on the swing, so I decided to edit that old piece ^^ I hope you guys like it!

I spent all of 2020 hoping to be loved, to be noticed, to be looked at and smiled as if I was the best thing ever in the world. But I wasn’t.
My friend Kelly told me that I deserve to be looked at like the art that I am.

So you know what… WHATEVER, I BECAME ONE OF MY FAVORITE PAINTINGS.

I am a whole ass masterpiece and whoever gets to be my boyfriend/girlfriend is lucky. Just saying.

The Swings

This was an editorial illustration based on the concept of something like an alternate route or taking a different path. It was inspired by my favorite painting The Swing by Fragonard.

This piece made it into the Society of Illustrators student show!
