I don’t get why people hate Charlie so much. Yes, disarming security system was a dumb thing to do, but he’s a fine kid. Look at how Karma gets back at him. It was a good Karma nevertheless

***DIRECTOR’S CUT REVIEW***
The painful silences are like echoes of bitter loneliness against the coldest of worlds. So much love lost, so much humanity found. The digital cinematography of Blackhat is sensuous and enveloping, like a cybernetic fever dream. Some of Mann’s most impressive framing and angling here, not to mention the sheer audacity of a techno thriller not adhering to any conceivable genre narrative whatsoever and trying to test impatient audiences and critics alike. In many ways a spiritual sequel to Miami Vice, where the absolute sadness and emptiness of the world despite an abundance of breadth and beauty overcomes the failed attempts at connection. Aside from some not-so-flattering CGI and an admittedly very miscast Chris Hemsworth, Blackhat is genre filmmaking at its most ethereal, enigmatic and exciting.

I’ve said it before, but I just love 90s erotic thrillers. They’re so stupid and so Freudian, and so completely blunt in their admittedly conscientious sexual politics, they’re impossible to dislike. Red Shoe Diaries is no exception, and it’s helmed by the great Zalman King who was, was wait for it, king of this genre. Between him and Greg Dark, there were dozens of nearly identical, dumb as hell but entertaining Skinemax flicks with pre-X Files David Duchovny just chewing the scenery. This film is definitely a time capsule to an era where cable TV was not a capitalist enterprise, but an edgy, subversive area where adults could watch other adults fuck with goofy scores and over-the-top orgasms. This is definitely worth a watch if you’re a fan of erotic thrillers and/or Duchovny. Oh, and keep an eye out for Matt LeBlanc in an early role as a burly bloke with a coif and a leather vest (No, he does not get naked)

La bellezza dei libri è anche poter pensare dei finali alternativi. Chissà cosa sarebbe successo se Linda fosse arrivata prima in Sardegna… Avrebbe salvato il piccolo Niccolò Solinas? Daniele l'avrebbe condotta da lui in tempo?

BLAM! Ventures is a guerrilla studio that ‘packages’ prose and comic projects for release through other publishers, including creator owned projects originated in house. Super-Hero style (looking for a more stylized or more realistic than typical super-hero art.) Need to be great with military (i.e. guns, vehicles, uniforms), architecture and environments. Must be able to produce finished pencils (inks if necessary). Must be able to draw mass destruction on a global scale! Ability to color is preferred, but not required.
