Looking out through the porch of Llangelynin Old Church, high up on the edge of the Conwy Valley. The oldest parts of the church are 12th or 13th century.

[ 有一種叫生命力 ]

往往就是一樣簡單的東西讓你沈醉於當中，舊物就是一種懷有魔力的東西，無論幾時髦、幾先進的地方，回到過去的那種感覺都必定會令人有更大的同理感，也是一種身份認同。 很多人會認為這必定是留戀過去的行為，但細心一想是否社會令你必定要追上、市場令你追求？ 

很多人認為舊就必是壞的，也是過時的、凌亂的。 卻它有一種獨特的味道，有著耳目一新異曲曲同工的感覺。 可能菲林相機和古著令我改變了這想法， 學會怎樣去欣賞還有著生命力的物件。

這次我親臨一個異地的二手市場 - 翟道翟playground市集，發覺原來泰國曼谷的市場生態都很多元化，古董商場外圍有大大小小的地㰙，在香港的確是不容許的景像。 我實在太好奇走了去尋寶，一行便大半個小時了，有好幾件擺設我差一點點就買下，又是有限的居家空間不而再不經精心考慮去容納。 隨後我走進商場打算找地方坐下休息一會，一樓二樓都是大型古董和傢具的店舖，本來打算回程去晩謄，再多上一層便離開，誰不知我喜歡的一間又一間古著店竟在我眼前，越行越入就越大間，結果還選上了一件十分喜歡的，價錢更是便宜到我不相信了。

原定打算在熱天前月尾再遊泰國另一城市清邁，因突然其來的肺炎疫情要取消行程，話雖可惜，再等一會去期待一下可能我會有更滿足的收穫。 希望香港繼續守好和自救自強。

St Paul’s Cathedral sits on the tallest hill of London and still has quite the presence. We had a cool experience inside of seeing a stone mason chisel the name of the new bishop.

Continuing on our trip from a couple years ago, London. I thought the Tube would be a good way to start. It’s the artery of the city, but also has a great history and station diversity.

Like many of Budapest’s iconic buildings, Central Market Hall was built at the turn of the 20th century. The building was severely damaged during WWII and was not fully restored until the late 90s.

Matthias Church was originally built in the 15th century and rebuilt at the end of the 19th century. It sits at the top of Buda and contains panoramic views of Pest. It’s also called the Coronation Church and is where the historically significant Franz Joseph and Sissi were coronated.

Budapest’s Castle Hill Funicular was the second funicular in Europe. The funicular takes visitors from the banks of the Danube to Castle Hill. The original 1870 funicular was destroyed in WWII but reopened in 1986. We opted to take the hike up which featured two bridges across the track.

Another street ender and another Budapest build in the early 1900s. This time it’s the neoclassical St Stephen’s Basilica. We were lucky enough to stay half a block north of this cathedral.

The Hungarian Parliament Building. Budapest was busy around the time this was built after forming their city from Buda, Pest, and Obuda in 1873. The Neo-Gothic building was inaugurated for Hungary’s 1000th anniversary in 1896 and completed in 1906….

The Shoes on the Danube Bank is another powerful memorial. The 60 iron sculpted pairs of shoes represents the 3,500 people shot into the Danube River towards the end of WWII. The victims were told to take off their shoes before being murdered…..
