Testing: Shorten long posts in your dash

Hello.

We are testing out an optional setting to shorten long posts on the dashboard. We’re initially rolling this feature out to a smaller number of you on web and iOS starting today, March 28, with an Android release to follow soon. We realize this is a significant change to how you interact with your dash. So this will be an optional feature you can easily turn off anytime by visiting your dashboard settings and toggling “Shorten long posts” off.

What does this mean?

Long posts can crowd your dashboard. Some of you find them so annoying that you filter out the tag #long post. This means you could be missing out on posts you might love that also happen to be tagged as #long post. This setting shortens posts to offer a content preview instead—with the option to unfurl the full post by clicking “Expand” on web, or opening the post in a new screen by tapping “View Post” on iOS and Android. Here is a preview of how your dashboard will now appear on web before expanding the full post.

Why are we doing this?

Some of you have told us that long posts can feel like they take over your feed or make it harder to skip uninteresting posts. This feature will allow you to scroll through content more smoothly while also encouraging meaningful interactions—promoting the art, culture, and content you love, curate, and create.

basically emotional manipulation and guilt tripping as social justice praxis is pointless and not sustainable imo. it doesn’t promote real growth or solidarity if the entire basis of your activism is stemming from guilt or fear 

#like it just ends with kids reblogging things they dont really understand #and not daring to ask for further information references or even just it in easier to digest terms #so then you get loads of well intentioned and paranoid kids shouting at each other using buzzwords they dont really get #while abusive people can easily slip in and co-opt the system for their own ends #slams fist on table #transparency and forgiveness in sj circles#slams fists over and over

i’m especially upset by the pressure to reblog things immediately without fact-checking, expressing doubt is considered betrayal of the cause, so a lot of bad info gets boosted in a hurry

Looks like my blog and every other adult blog on tumblr is going to essentially be deleted in a couple of weeks, be warned. Thanks for the support, I never expected to blow up this big. It’s been a fun ride.

Well, as a lot of u know, Tumblr are taking it upon themselves to pull down anything “Adult” in nature from their servers. This means most of my posts (and therefore pictures) are gonna get deleted. I’ve been inundated with messages asking me where i’ll go after Tumblr, so I may as well answer this publicly:

In the short term, i’ll post new pics/vids to my xtubeand maybe even my xhamster. I’ll also continue to post on /b/ randomly, as I’ve always done.

Long term is a bit uncertain at the moment really. I dare say something will rise from the ashes of tumblr and some other site will rise to dominance. If it does, i’ll be there. I’m not going to twitter or reddit because what i’m after is a permanent picture host/gallery of my pictures and neither of those do that really. I’m technically already on fetlife but that place baffles me so it’s basically unusable to me. I’ve always stored my picture sets on my hard drive so i can easily upload it all somewhere else - i’m not gonna lose anything. If i end up taking up permanent residence on some other site then i’ll post a link to it on here for you all to follow me. Worst case scenario, i can just create my own website. 

While i’m here though, I just wanted to say a big Thank You to any one that ever bought me something off my Amazon wishlist. I was lucky to have been bought a bunch of slutty little outfits that I then showed off to you all in my picture sets on here. Most of the picture sets i’ve taken in the last year or so were either in part, or totally supplied by u guys out there! Thanks so much!!
I still have a bunch of unseen outfits so there’s always more pictures to be taken. I guess they wont really be posted on here (or maybe some super tame ones will with a link to the dirty pics hosted elsewhere). 

So yeah, when Tumblr decides to kill itself in a spectacular act of stupidity, look out for links on here to find new pics of your favorite crossdressing slut. Who knows where we’ll call home next?
