#unemployed

LIVE

I need to shout out my therapist and also my daily anti-depressant for getting me through today because my car officially died (in the middle of the road no less) and I was weirdly calm through the whole ordeal. Now I get to deal with being carless and unemployed in the middle of nowhere, so that’s fun. I’m listing below my v*nmo and c*shapp if anyone can help me out with these Uber rides.

I’m still very unemployed, but I did get a one week dog sitting job and honestly getting paid $200 to watch a very cute and sweet german Shepard for the week is what my mental health needs rights now.

I’m still very unemployed after 5 job interviews and my car is barely functional at the moment. I’m crocheting and selling handmade rainbow pride scarves to get by until I can hopefully find another job soon. If you don’t want a scarf, I’ll also attach my v*nmo and c*shapp because every little bit helps right now. Thanks!

The most intriguing graphic from GE2017 so far. Why?

The only employment status to vote more for the Tories than for Labour was Retired.

Working Britain is being over-ruled by the old. Who’s being silenced? The young!

Every young person who doesn’t vote compounds the problem. Don’t be that person. Don’t let your friends be that person.

We will be living in this country long after the retired have passed on.

Keep on fighting. Keep the momentum. Keep shouting until young voices are heard.

Unemployed men marching on Granville Street, June 1938

To press their demand for “work and wages,” unemployed men occupied the main post office for a month, until they were evicted by the RCMP and city police in what came to be known as “Bloody Sunday.”

The Individualist, June 1938

An unemployed man asleep on the counter during a month-long occupation of the main post office to demand “work and wages.” Images like this one were made into postcards and sold on the street to raise money to support the protesters. This building is now part of the Sinclair Centre at Granville and Hastings.

Well, the “I was laid off and now I’m selling my paintings at a drastically low price” auction continues this week. It’s not a great title for an auction, I’ll admit but I currently have 60 paintings up for auction, which is set to expire on Saturday.

Lost job due to Covid — taking emergency commissions as I look for work!!!

I’m taking both writing and art commissions! Doesn’t need to be ZaDR. I’ll do anything.

Nothing too extreme for art. I only reserve the right to refuse a writing commission for themes if it’s something I can’t get into enough to write.

Reblogging this because I’m still unemployed and my car desperately needs new tires. Both tires on the left no longer stay inflated and as you might know, that’s a major hazard!

Even the cheapest set is gonna put me back over $400 (pic is cost of tires and then Walmart charges $15 per tire for an additional $60)

Interviewer: “Your resume is great, but we went through your social media and-“

Me: “I’ll let myself out.”

*as I’m walking toward the door*

Interviewer: “We just have high standards with how our employees conduct themselves in the public eye.”

*I turn my head back*

Me: “Just tell me, was it the banana-hammock picture?”

Interviewer: “More-so that you’re wearing it right now.”

Me: “Well, I think I would make a great Chief of Surgery!”

Interviewer: “Sir, this is Target.”

Unfortunately, there are no jobs, seems like, available in the city that I live in. I have applied everywhere that I possibly can and have even looked into going into the coal mines as a back up! I really don’t want to go into the coal mines, though, unless I absolutely have to. I’m still hoping to get $50.00 here soon, so that I can apply at the Board of Education to be a substitue teacher. That way, when Alissa starts school, she’ll have me there for her whenever she needs or wants anything. I always had my aunt working in the school system growing up, and she was, at one time, the principal I was going to school at. Whenever I didn’t have break money, or wasn’t feeling well, I could always go to her and let her know and she would help any way she could.

I know some of you are going to be like, “oh my gosh you’re moving again?!” Nothing is for certain yet, but if we can’t find jobs soon we may have no choice but to move back to Florida. I, of course, have no problem with moving back to Florida but I know Whit really wants to stay here as long as he can. I understand where he’s coming from and why he wants to stay, so I’m not mad or aggravated or anything within that nature. I have my reasons for wanting to go back and he has his reasons for wanting to stay. We both understand where we both are coming from and I’m glad that we are able to talk about any and everything that is on our minds. Like I said - nothing is for certain yet so please don’t get my words mixed up.

**Please continue to keep Whit and I in your prayers, please, as we continue to go through this long process. Pray that we are able to get jobs soon and are able to start working on our trailer!**
