One year ago, on this day The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiered, the second MCU show on Disney+ and my personal favorite

John Walker really went and watched a Troom Troom video and thought, “I’ll do you one better.”

I’m suddenly super interested in John Walker’s storyline

I mean, I know we hate them both and shit…but no one walked away from this episode shipping these two? Really? 

I dunno, maybe I’ve been out of the MCU fandom for too long, but I thought that someone would at least talk about them together because regardless of how you feel about their characters Kurt Russell and Cle Bennett are pretty attractive and their characters look nice together. 

Oh well…maybe it’s just me?

Still, I’m really glad we’re getting so many characters from the Captain America mythos. 

I’ve got Eli Bradley back (and Isaiah). Joaquin is getting so much love! And Battlestar has been introduced to the mainstream now. And then there’s John Walker and I’ve heard rumors about possibly gettin Rikki Barnes. 

I’ve always wanted a Captain America Family book, and this show is the closest thing I’ve gotten to it! Great Job Malcolm Spellman. 

And…I’m not saying we should have a season two…but…ya’know…I wouldn’t exactly disparage it either. 

Hint hint.

let them be related (bucky’s got like 3 sisters that could be john’s grandma) and drive each other completely coo coo lmao

i need the chaos

sebastian and wyatt would totally crush that dynamic

look if the comics let me have THIS gloriously meme-able moment

then the mcu needs to step up its game and give me more!

give me the 6 of them being utterly fucking chaotic together

this is the Thunderbolts line up I need in the MCU

let me witness the glory of these actors in the same room bouncing off each other

the contrast between steve’s reaction when he thought bucky had died and now john’s when lemar died is so stark. i’m enjoying the antagonistic depth they’re giving john walker tbh. i mean, this man committed atrocities in war and, with regret and anger about that, decided to take the serum, which again directly contrasts steve and his motivations for volunteering for the serum. he is the absolute antithesis of what steve was and stood for. marvel knows what the heck theyre doing

ok now i need to see the repercussions that are going to come in episode 5 because this was recorded and witnessed and will most definitely go global. how will john’s wife react? how will the us government spin this? what will the worldwide fallout of the symbol of cap’s shield be?? i cant wait a whole week for this dude

just gonna say it, episode 4 is the best one yet and the dora effortlessly beating john walker up has a lot to do with that

i’m not exactly mad at john walker. i’m mad that i watched steve and, therefore, captain america’s growth and realization that the government and powers that be can’t be trusted and shouldn’t be glorified. from the first avenger right on through infinity war, cap wasn’t some flashy symbol of the us anymore, he was a man doing his best. a hero. but now we have john walker show up as fake cap, making the title captain america yet again a showpiece of the us government and delivering the line “[i’m] kind of the government. (chuckles)”. that’s what i’m mad about
