RFA members with a depressed reader + how they would respond/try and support you

Zen:

• He’s actually really shocked
• Like, you’re so gorgeous and honestly the most amazing person he’s ever met and he can’t believe you’d ever feel that way about yourself
• He tries to reassure you CONSTANTLY
• Which kinda makes you feel a bit bad, like you’re a burden
• When he hears that he just tries to love you even more
• He doesn’t really know how to help you aside from reassuring and comforting and loving you
• So he tries to do research
• Invites you to go on walks with him for exercise
• Offers to pay for your therapy
• Tries to cook healthy meals for the both of you
• Wants you to get enough sleep
• All of the good habits that are supposed to help with depression
• They do, but you still end up feeling numb inside
• Especially at night
• He’s so kind and patient and understanding
• He’ll sit with you and hold you if you just wanna cry
• He’ll listen to your feelings and empathise but when you start talking about how you hate yourself he’ll cut in
• “Please, don’t say that about yourself, Princess.”
• Wants to protect you and make you happy

Jumin:

• Doesn’t really know what to do
• He isn’t that connected to his emotions and he especially isn’t that well versed and knowing how to deal with other people’s emotions
• But he really cares about you, so he makes some calls
• Provides you with the best therapists and psychiatrists (if you want to take medication for it)
• Makes sure that all his employee’s and guards and chefs and maids take really good care of you
• Kind of like Zen - he does his research
• When you tell him that you just feel really down today he’ll start offering all these solutions that are supposed to help - exercise, yoga, meditation, etc.
• But if you say you just wanna stay in and watch movies and cuddle he’s totally there for that too
• If you’re having a really bad day, where you aren’t really talking and you won’t get out of bed, he’ll bring Elizabeth the Third to you because he knows how much you like petting her fur
• And once he’s finished his work, he’ll come to you and hold you and whisper words of support and care and reassurance to you
• Will literally leave meetings if he finds out you’re really upset
• Jaehee doesn’t like that, but she won’t lie - she worries about you too
• On days where Jumin is on a business trip and you’re at home, you best believe you’ll be getting deliveries constantly with flowers or packages and Jaehee visiting you
• At first you’re surprised when Jaehee visits
• But she tells you that he’s worried and maybe you’ll confide in her
• But you guys just stay in and watch (Zen’s) movies and you guys become really close friends
• Bottom line, will stop everything to come and support you

Jaehee:

• Knows what it’s like to have deteriorating mental health
• So can easily relate
• So you guys talk a lot about your feelings to each other, usually ending up with you both crying
• But it’s not really a bad thing
• It’s nice to talk to someone who actually understands without being worried
• Both of you doing things to improve your mental health - a self care journey
• Supporting each other on your bad days
• 24/7 support
• Strongest couple ever omg
• You guys can tell when the other isn’t having the best day, so you’ll discreetly help them out

Yoosung:

• This poor boi cries when you tell him
• Because he’s been there, right in the depths of it
• He came back but…
• He would never want anyone to experience that level of pain and suffering
• And when he found out you had it he just felt so sad - he wanted to take all of your pain for himself because you deserved only the best and all of the happiness
• Especially since you’re the reason he managed to leave that place behind
• Will try and spend as much time making you smile as possible
• Cook for you, making little smiley faces and stuff
• He’s really sweet
• Like, the sweetest heart
• Tells you that he’s there for you, if you need to talk or anything like that
• Wants you to promise that you’ll call him, text him or talk to him if you ever feel like you’ll hurt yourself or…

Saeyoung/Luciel/707:

• Kinda figured it out when he did his background check on you
• Was kinda surprised based on the way you acted in the chat room
• When you weren’t allowed to leave the apartment, he made sure you got your medication (if you take any)
• Feels so guilty about pushing you away
• When you guys are together he tries to make up for it all with love
• Showers you with love and attention
• Partly because he knows how tough it can be to see anything good about yourself
• But it’s mainly because you’re his angel
• Which makes him even sadder because you can’t see how incredible you are to him
• Every little thing you do makes him fall in love with you all over again
• Will leave his work for you if you ask him to or if he feels like you need him
• Offers to find another job
• Tried to make changes in his daily life to support you
• If you decide that you wanna start working out or eating differently or going to therapy or literally anything, he’s doing the same thing too
• Sometimes dragging in Saeran too, just to show you how much support you have
• Maybe even the whole RFA lol
• Just wants you to know you’re loved

The saeran good ending is everything

And I’m fucking crying.

*spoilers duh*

This really was made to be the true ending and it feels so bittersweet. I love individual character routes esp Zen and Saeyoung, but it makes me sad that there are so many unresolved things and you just know the other characters are still going through shit. This seems like the first one that everyone gets a good ending and it makes me so soft.

Pls. Seeing this alone made me tear up.

Saejoong

First off, who gives a fuck about him? BUT at least his arc has ended. There was something nice about the twins opposing reactions about him and it was the first time we really saw him. Good riddance

Driver Kim and Jumin’s Daddy

The driver Kim interactions made me happier than I expected- what a sweetie. Putting himself out to help everyone and genuinely caring about the RFA. As for the CEO, he was quite humbled. Caring about the RFA and not being angry at Jumin for them forced out of C&R. He even invested in SEVEN☆ and didn’t profit. All the fiction I’ve consumed about rich boys with daddy issues didn’t prepare me for this nice exchange.

Vanderwood

We all knew we would thirst from the first selfie. Not a major arc but the tragic backstory of his was touched on. He always seemed like a sympathetic person backed into a corner and his scolding of Saeyoung showed he really cared and we saw that. He really is a good guy!

Yep we still fucking hate V, he’s stupid and a passive observer to all the people around him, who clearly need therapy. He also encourages all of Rikas madness.

As for Rika, she seemed a lot more sympathetic, yes her wrongdoings are not excused - she’s done bad things and is making bad choices, even going as far as murder, which is not surprising for a cult leader. But to watch her try to change and then actually change was quite therapeutic. I like Rika more than V (but then again that’s not hard!).

Yoosung

Everyone’s favourite lil overtired student. He has always shown to be caring and cutely soft but this arc has shown him to be more mature in the Rika stuff which is very different to his previous portrayals. His calls and attitude were just all around sunshine! Now he’s growing up on his own, working for the government and moving to a foreign country to pursue his dreams. I would love for Netflix to commission a show called Yoosung in Paris.

Zen

I had to do this after Yoosung because I love their understated friendship (I even wrote a post about them). But this gave me new content for these boys supporting each other. Zen does not break his super caring attitude with MC either, he calls and cares, supports her and Saeran. Where in all the other routes I get sad because I feel Zen is on love with MC secretly and it breaks my heart, in this one he acknowledges a good friendship (but he’s still my equivalent to a bias, I just like he can have his own happy ending). Finally from a sexy struggling actor, he is now a sexy successful actor working for I marketing with his family and he’s in “wolves”. I’m sure he can make the eventual monstrous movie a success.

(Fuck me, I genuinely cackled when I saw this)

Jaehee

I love this woman! Her ending is one I was hoping a little bit more from, but the thing with Jaehee is I know she will do great things in the government. The last call with Yoosung, her and Zen was the cutest thing and her calls throughout were lovely. In my mind Jaehee will kick ass in the political world for a year or so and then slow down for a small business with a kind investment from a President-in-line. AND she will be first in line for Zens shows, whose friendship (and hopefully more) I will always support. She will buy him a huge bouquet of flowers, waiting in his dressing room and he will always make sure she comes backstage, even with her saying she doesn’t want to impose (yes I’m forming my own narrative).

Jumin

WOW. I do love Jumin, don’t get me wrong but I never had that OBSESSION like certain people. If there’s one character who surprised me it was him. Imagine the path you’ve had your whole life being absolutely decimated, how do you act so okay with that? Well, my boy did and he’s doing bits. AND he’s keeping the family together by paving ways for them. His church scene made me tear up, just cos you can see how much he cares, so take that Jumin haters.

Saeyoung and Saeran and MC

We need to group these people from being so intertwined. They will all sacrifice themselves for each other which was seen when I got the bad endings *cries*. The Saeyoung CGs made me very sad and the constant goodbyes were a lot. I always got feels realising how much the twins went through for each other and how much pain they’ve been in. After it all Saeyoung cared about Saeran and Saeran was able to forgive himself, which gave themselves strength. They’re both amazing and deserve to settle down in a quiet life, carving a path they’ve decided rather than what life threw at them. So leave Saeyoung to fish and Saeran to tend to his flowers because they deserve it.

I’m highkey living for the Yoosung and Zen friendship. They’re both so pure and genuinely really love each other. And the small parts in the routes are just the cutest thing, I can’t deal.

For example, in the deep story when Yoosung goes to Zen’s house so they can comfort each other when they’re worried about Seven then Zen ends up being Momma Zen and looking after Drunk Yoosung.

Even in Another Story it’s obvious how depressed Yoosung is even though it’s brushed off by the other characters. But Yoosung uses this to positively help Zen with his acting. After he helps Zen he even cooks for him because he wants to take care of him.

Then Zen being touched by all these kind gestures (and even Yoosung buying him beer after his prosecution interview) and how he thinks of Yoosung as a little brother. You can tell that Zen treats him how he wishes his older brother treated him. (He constantly gives him advice as well even if Yoosung doesn’t always listen)

Sorry this was way too cute and there’s probably more but I wanna see more of the friendship moments.

A friendly reminder that Zen will always be a knight in shining armour regardless of which route your playing. He will love you in any dimension too…. This is obliterating any chance for me to get into a real relationship.

The Mystic Dilemma

I’m done doing all the good and normal ends on MM so far but still don’t have enough HG for the other routes so I decided to try the bad endings.

Literally before it would kill me to be so mean to zen (cos my precious baby I love him) but now that I’m doing it I’m enjoying it so much. Hes still so nice and comes with such hilarious replies. Why am I such a sadist enjoying a fictional characters pain?
