Happened upon a cheap brunch restaurant! Today Teddy chose the French Toast Omelete, which comes with $25 drink (or can pay the difference for a more expensive drink)
Switch the meat for a salad to make this vegetarian! The cute miniature salad has mashed potatoes~ The main dish is soft French Toast sandwiching egg, tomato, and a bit of other veggies
價格才$89! 店家也有提共三層類型的下午茶,不到$300,下次想去吃看看~
The price was only $89! They have also three-tier afternoon tea for less than $300; want to try it out next time~
Super dreamy theme restaurant! There is a photography section with plenty of props provided~ Teddy had the garlic mushroom brunch, which was very delicious, and was a generous portion!! The only bad part is the chemical-tasting orange juice >_<;;
Teddy had Fettuccine with vegetables and spinach sauce. It was quite yummy! The lighting in the restaurant constantly changes color, just like the northern lights~ The decor is also quite unique
The decor was very special. The only veg option was this brunch. The mushroom and veg was a fragrant and yummy dish, and the jam had loads of blueberry bits in it, very yummy! The rest was quite average; the mushrooms and jam took the spotlight
Cream vegetable thin pasta is nothing special. The sauce is a bit watery, but if you keep stirring it is OK. The amount of veg is average, based on its average price the dish is OK
The coffee is absolutely horrendous! Adding a creamer makes in marginally better and at least somewhat consumable. Teddy is not a particularly picky eater, but this coffee is really quite a disaster!
Like filling portions of Western style brunch or salad and burgers? the Diner is amazing! Teddy loves the Vegetarian Caesar Salad! Look at the photo and you can see the huge portion with loads of veg, mushroom, cheese, hard-boiled egg, and avocado! Just salad is enough to fill you
Want a burger type? Try the portabella mushroom burger. Teddy loves to pair it with the sweet potato fries; soft texture and sweet taste are great! No need to add ketchup!
this is a good place to meet with friends for a meal! For set meals, there is limitless coffee~
Kiko’s Diner Hawaiian restaurant with everybody’s favorite cute brand, Sanrio, in East Metro!
At first Taiwan Teddy worried it would be a restaurant focused on the decor rather than food, but the food was very good!
This time I ordered veggie pizza and black coffee (refills)
The pizza is soft crust and very yummy, but the center is a bit too soft to hold up its own weight, so eat with knife and fork to keep from getting paws too messy. The coffee comes with creamer and sugar, and has unlimited refills
The restaurant is done in American-style decor with adorable Sanrio characters painted throughout! We were seated by the window in a cozy couch area. Loved it!
Kiko’s also sells some goods, like mugs, ribbon headbands, totes, etc.
They also provide alcoholic drinks, but we did not try any this time ;)
Simple and cheap for night snacks~ Loads of side dishes to choose from (the bittermelon contains fish though!) Sweet potato congee is limitless, and the sweet potatoes are very yummy and the portions are generous!
There is a whole page of vegetarian options for veggie friends to choose from! This time Teddy chose an egg soup noodle. I don’t eat soba often, but this dish had a flavorful base and noodles with a very appetizing texture. The egg drops were large and cooked just right; perfect match! In the third photo you can see the Great Natto Challenge… and I can only say, to each bear her own ^^; That dish is “single serving” but it took four of us to finish it…
Potager Garden ATT4FUN Super healthy and innovative restaurant using ingredients in new ways! The atmosphere was fun and relaxing with clear-top tables filled with foliage, so Teddy laid down to pretend I was lying in the grass! ThenMenu is worth a look-at before you go because there are so many details and variety you might want to try them all!
Teddy visited with a fan this time, so we got the Cumin Vegetables Curry with Rice (NT$32) and a Potager Double Afternon Tea Set for ($595)
The stand-out dish in this meal was definitely the creative tomato and yam leaf cake!! I originally thought it was a sandwich, but it is actually a sweet dessert! The sponge cake is made of yam leaves and the sweet cream is a perfect pairing with the cake and the tomato slices as filling. At the top of the cake is a cherry tomato sitting upon a throne of that cream, so delicious!
The curry was light and delicious with a combination of grains in the rice portion. The flavor was not too overwhelming and the sweetness and tender qualities of the bell peppers shine through. The other desserts on the dessert platter were also creatively made, with sweet potato cakes and cookies and also the savory quiche with its rich, egg favor and perfect, crumbly crust, and the salad. Teddy is not a fan of cream dressings, but according the our dining partner, it was delicious.
This restaurant may be pricey, but I think it is worth a try. Get together with a few foodie friends so you can all order something different and try each other’s dishes.
Last week I went to BiHua Fabric District to buy fabric, got hungry, and happened upon this cafe. I was surpried to find such a cute and welcoming cat, :ian:ian, there greeting all the guests!
As soon as you walk in, QianQian meows to greet you, and also jumps up onto the tables to ask for petting from the customers.
Veggie friends can order the cheese and veggie pannini and ask the chef not to ad the ham. The cheese is not too overpowering, and the veggies are fresh and delicious!
The order comes with a side of chips made from some secret ingredient… its original flavor is a touch of sweet and savory, and it tastes even better with the salsa added on top, becoming a bit spicy!
I also ordered a cappuccino, which came in a cup the size of a bowl! At NT$100 it is very affordable and also very well-made. Love it!!! The coffee also came with almond brittle. The brittle is made of layers of almond flakes held together by some type of batter or topping, so the fragrance of the almonds really shines through~
Reasonable prices and decent food, ranging from NT$98-$248, roughly. Taiwan Teddy actually comes here often! But I’ve never done a review of it. Any dish can be raised to a set meal with an addition of NT$88, which adds a salad, soup, bread roll, beverage, and dessert. This time, I split a vegetable pizza (around $128 I believe) and a Seasonal Vegetable Risotto in Cream Sauce ($188) I got Japanese dressing salad. The dressing is light and tasty without being overpowering. The meal roll is very fragrant and fluffy and pairs well with the rich pumpkin soup. The pizza is great, and the risotto is yummy, but compared to their pasta dishes it is lacking in ingredients… The coffee is rather plain, nothing especially good or bad. This time I got the Grape Wine Jelly dessert which is lightly sweet and has a lovely texture. The grape wine flavor is not too overpowering, so that is nice!
Ducat Gold Quesadilla Spinach & Mushroom Flavor NT$200 Lovely, crisp skin and loads of fresh and cheesy filling! Comes with unlimited beverage. Very yummy!
