On the left I had one end of an old clothesline and a hole. 90 mins later I have the other end of the clothesline built and up! I screwed up the last cut on the height but oh well, will work fine. #chickswhobuild #homeimprovement #projects #backyard

This picture gives me butterflies. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most exciting, and this beautiful sanctuary is no exception. It’s like a treehouse/clubhouse that boys would build in their backyard, but for a pensive, sometimes reclusive adult like myself. A place to go and feel importantly alone where my mind can wander and the only interruptions are the ones I create. I want something like this so badly, it makes my chest ache.

How is it that architecture and structural and landscape design can literally turn me on? Not sure, but it does. It stimulates parts of my mind that sends signals throughout my body, and it feels soooo very good. I like the modern minimal style. I like the pool with the simple backyard. And I really like the pool house, where all kinds of fun naughty fantasies can happen on long hot afternoons, or when the sun goes down and the music turns up.

Reorganizing my herbs bed
Most of my herbs are potted and buried in the soil. It makes it so much easier to control, but also easy to move around.
All of these were small when I planted them, the three rosemary bushes grew exponentially and they were keeping the sun from hitting the other herbs, so I moved them around.
I have:
- Rosemary in the back
- Sage on the right side
- Mint & lemon balm next to the sage
- Thyme in the front left side
- Geranium in the middle left side
- More lemon balm in front of the rosemary
Let’s see how they grow!
