Essential and Carrier Oils for hair
Im dying my hair soon and i think its gonna die *pun intended* so i was researching benefits of oils to the hair and thought I’ll share :)
Essential oils are distilled from the plant itself. They have the signature scent of the plant they came from. And they’re highly concentrated. For instance, it takes 220 pounds of lavender flowers to make a single pound of lavender oil.
Carrier oils (such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, and olive oil) also come from plants, but they have a more neutral smell. And they’re not necessarily distilled down like essential oils are.
Here are the benefits of some essential and carrier oils:
Almond oil soothes and moisturizes the scalp.
Cedarwood oil stimulates the scalp and promotes hair growth.
Chamomile oil adds shine and softness to hair, and soothes the scalp.
Clary sage oil promotes hair growth and stimulates the scalp.
Coconut oil softens hair and increases shine.
Geranium oil strengthens hair.
Jojoba oil moisturizes the hair, adds nutrients, and stimulates the scalp.
Lavender oil deep conditions the hair, keeps it shiny, and helps control dandruff.
Moroccan argan oil moisturizes, nourishes, and provides antioxidants to hair.
Rosemary oil stimulates the roots, improves hair growth, and increases circulation in the scalp.
Sandalwood oil helps with dry ends, and adds fragrance to the hair.
Make sure to always use essential oils with carrier oils!

Remember to use these oils sparingly and research them some more before using. If you take all the precautions and experience rash or allergic reactions, stop immediately. Other than that, enjoy your healthy hair! >-<

Misadventures in Gardening
Herbie the Impulse Buy!
During a late night market run on December 23rd, 2021, I saw this herb trio in the produce section. They’ve got rosemary, sage, and thyme; that’s three plants for the price of one!
Before and after unwrapping!
Closeup!
On Christmas eve, I came to the conclusion that Herbie needs a bigger jar… Decided to use some water beads so that they aren’t sitting on their roots as much.
Here’s closeups of the roots and the water level.
Looking forward to expanding my misadventures into cooking experiments!
My Take on joeymet
so, you’re saying that a canonically lesbian girl associated with the color green who has a unique relationship to motherhood and maternal motifs develops a crush on an asshole ceruleanblood girl who switches back and forth from being friendly to a jerk and then later meets a girl associated with the color purple who provides aid through information that helps her throughout her adventure in a relationship that starts off as frustrated but then grows to become fonder over time?

ROSEMARY 2
I will watch this with gay intentions.
Not everyone has the time or money for a busy, involved spell. It takes practice, a quiet place to sit down, and often a lot of meditation or introspection before you can create a really POWERFUL spell. However, sometimes what you need isn’t power, but speed - these spells answer just that need combining water and no more than TWO other ingredients to create useful, flexible spells. They’re not the most powerful bits of magick you can perform, but they work fast, they don’t need a protective circle to cast them, and they can be re-performed easily and with almost no ingredient costs!
- Fill a glass with water, and invoke the healing elements of Water and Earth. Pour healing energies into the water, and add a sprinkle of salt to cleanse out impure energy. Drink this water in one go for a fast and easy noticeable healing spell. Please note, however, that it is not a super-powerful spell! If you really need healing, perform a proper, strong spell after going to a doctor.
- Dip your finger into a glass of saturated salty water, and use the water to draw a pentacle upon your table or altar. When the water evaporates it will leave the salt behind, creating a perfect salt pentacle perfect for keeping your altar free of harmful energies. This also means that it can be washed off in seconds with a damp paper towel or wash-cloth, making it easy to clean up and easy to dispose of in an instant if you are a secret or hidden Witch in an unfriendly environment.
- Mix sugar and a spice, such as vanilla* or cinnamon, into water and bless it under moonlight. Dedicate it to the moon and to the cycles of nature. Then, before the sun rises, pour the water out over any plants in your garden that need a little extra help staying healthy and strong.
*Pleaseonly use vanilla extract, vanilla paste, or vanilla bean for this! Vanilla essence is NOT real vanilla, and has never seen the inside of any herbs at all. Vanilla essence is a chemical called vanillin, which was created synthetically in a factory - it is NOT a real herb! - Add rosemary and sage to a jug of cool water, and leave it to sit in the fridge for three days. Take the jug out and dip a paintbrush into this water, and then paint the potion upon the top of any doorsin your house that face the outside. This will prevent negative spirits from entering your dwelling, and will help prevent you bringing stress in from the outside world with you too!
- Add together 3 parts dried rosemary (or 5 parts fresh), 6 parts water (8 if using fresh herb) and 2 parts salt, boil together in a pan for at least 10 minutes, then leave this to sit in a cool place away from as much sunlight as possible. Leave this potion to sit and infuse for at least 2 weeks, and then during your showers measure out about a quarter-cup (~60ml) of the potion. Apply this to your scalp and hair, massaging vigorously, and then after at least 1 minute of leaving it in wash it out with shampoo and water. This potion is extremely nourishing for the hair, and will help your hair stay stronger for longer. Soak your hands and feet in it for 10 minutes twice-daily as a nail strengthener, too! Keep refrigerated when not in use!
- Under a full moon, step out into nature and bless a bucket of water. Add a handful of salt, and command the salt to dispel all impurities and harmful energies in the water, and then use whatever incantation or wording you choose to tell the water that anything washed within it will be cleansed of foul energies and made new again. Then use the water to wash down any items in your house that might have negative energies attached; for example a necklace that was given to you by an abusive ex; a favourite toy from your childhood before you moved away and couldn’t play with it anymore; or perhaps a ritual tool that has not been cleansed in a long time and has energies built up inside it. This water will remove all the bad energies, and leave the good ones, allowing you to make the object’s energy “new” again and remove bad associations.
- Fill a glass of water and dip your thumb into it, before pushing your Will into the water to infuse it with creativity, confidence, and innovation. Drink this water, or give it to someone you think needs it, and for a little while it will infuse them all the tools they need to be strong, confident, assertive and make their points well. Drink it before anything that requires these skills, such as a job interview, a presentation for school, or before asking your crush out on a date. It will fill you with confidence and help you get the job done right!
I hope this helps a lot of Witches who might be busy or secret or poor or forgetful, or maybe all of them together! Good luck my wonderful Witches, and may the Goddess bless you all!

Io Saturnalia! The Roman celebration of the end of the year, Saturnalia, is next week! So celebrate another end of another year, I’m making a simple baked treat to serve for any saturnalia celebrations you have planned - a quick and easy Dulcia Piperata (as recorded by Apicius)
In any case, let’s now take a look at The World That Was! Follow along with my YouTube video, above! Check out my Patreon for more!
Ingredients
1 cup / 150g flour
2 eggs
½ tsp ground rosemary
75 g chopped almonds
2tsp ground pepper
100 ml sweet white wine (or grape juice)
2 tbsp honey
Milk
75g Chopped hazelnuts
Method:
1 - Mix Dry Ingredients
Toss about a cup of flour in a bowl. Add in some rosemary, a couple teaspoons of ground pepper, and about 75g of chopped almonds to the bowl. Mix everything together, just so it’s all evenly mixed. Rosemary is a commonly-found herb in the Mediterranean, and found it’s way into Roman cooking in a variety of dishes! I’m using plain white wheat flour, but wholemeal wheat or spelt would have also been used here.
2 - Mix the Other Ingredients
Next, crack two eggs into a measuring jugs, before adding your wine (or grape juice, if you’re not using alcohol), and milk. Add in enough milk to bring the total volume of liquid up to about 450ml. Pour the jug of liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well. The whole thing will be like a pancake batter. If it’s too thin, add a few more tablespoons of flour, and if it’s too thick, add a little more milk!
3 - Bake
Next, prepare a baking tin by wiping some olive oil over the sides and base of it! Pour the mixture into your tin. Bake at 190ºC / 375ºF for about 30 minutes. It should be done when a skewer comes out clean when the centre of it is poked. Take it out, and let the whole thing cool down in the baking dish. It may collapse a little, but this is totally fine and to be expected!
4 - Finish
When the cake is still warm, spread some honey over the top and sprinkle it with chopped hazelnuts and a few whole hazelnuts. The honey will caramelise a little at the edge of the dish, which adds a lovely deep flavour to the whole thing!
Serve up warm with another spoon of honey, and dig in!
The finished dish is super light and sweet, with a tangy undertone from the wine! The honey drizzled over the top infuses into the body of the cake, resulting in a springy, sponge-like cross-section! The rosemary adds a lovely woody kick to each slice, and pairs wonderfully with the taste of the white wine!

Herbs for a friend, feat. basil, purple basil, rosemary, and mint
Now, in addition to my tomatoes, I have a bit of a Mediterranean garden going on.
Mom is visiting for my birthday and she encouraged me to get some new plants when we went to grab soil and pots.
So we’ve got green bell peppers, Italian oregano, green and purple basils, and rosemary going now. My porch may still look a little wild, but it’ll at least smell and taste good.
The herb rosemary is a strong herb that can be used for love spells.
Here’s how to use rosemary to attract love:
Try adding this herb to a tasty dish for your other half and blessing it with your intent, to ignite the passion in your relationship. Simply having rosemary in your home is also believed to protect a marriage from failing. If you are struggling to conceive, try adding rosemary and some pennies to a green drawstring bag, and hanging it above your bed to increase fertility. Gifting rosemary to a loved one is also a strong symbol of everlasting friendship
