For some incomprehensible reason, my wife HATES Kazuaki-kun with a furious passion for absolutely no reason, and also exclusively refers to him by his Absolute Zero name.

So now in my head it’s like

Kazuaki (affectionate)

Neg (derogatory)

Met this polish girl at this theatre event two nights ago, and from across the room, when someone mentioned she was polish, I literally whipped my head around like Stitch because I could sense The Witcher Force™️ energy was strong with her

Made my way over and she was ecstatic that someone from Western Society knew all about The Witcher, and we ended up spending a while talking about the various pronunciations of Jaskier and it was just *chef’s kiss*

I was annoyed by being there so was counting down the minutes in my brown leather jacket and Leo DiCaprio aesthetic and she didn’t know anyone there and was standing awkwardly alone in her jeans and flowy shirt etc so may have just experienced an The Amazing Devil song irl

I love when people just ✨bond✨ and actually feel seen in a room they’d otherwise just want to sink through the ground in, humanity is so oddly cool

Not despite, you say,because

You’ve been looking in the bathroom mirror

of our Santa Fe adobe house, beneath stained vigas

wearing your orange sports bra

and half-buckled blue jeans

a black-and-white plaid shirt in one hand—for horseback-riding

Was it five summers ago when

I saw you at Seattle’s Cyclops,

wearing a sleeveless golf shirt?

I kept staring at your shoulders,

tan and muscular, diagonal scars

I felt too timid asking about

Aren’t you worried about the age difference?

My mom says, tells her Christian friends

I was looking for a replacement. No,

my fear is dying alone, my means exhausted, becoming

the people I see as I drive along Cerrillos

pushing carts with tattered blankets and frayed satchels

I’m proud to be an old lady, you say,

love me because of my wrinkles

Turning around, my right index finger traces

the lines in your face, grazes

your flat stomach with my left hand,

Because, I whisper, I love you because
