An artist that is the epiphany of connectivity with the art. In a non-cliched way, John Glacier approaches music as therapy and expresses herself through the medium in such proximity to her true self, which makes her music both introspective but settling and relatable. She embodies a mysterious quality about her and has built up a solid reputation for herself as quite a standout artist despite not having a lot of work released. It is remarkable to see such an artist of this rigour in our times giving her must the best of her all with such a reputable output in music.
A Compsognathus fossil, once thought to be discovered carrying an embryo, was later found to be housing the skeleton of a Bavarisaurus lizard that had been swallowed whole. A while ago I drew a lot of rocks for a magazine feature, and as a wind down from that, I drew some more. The perspective was purposefully not just ‘straight on’, and bloody challenging as a result (you don’t need to know how many drawings were scrapped before I was happy with the poses).
