A/N: A fun Christmas-y one because ‘tis the season! I’ve been in love with Charlie since the ripe old age of ten years old so this was a fun one to write. Feel free to like and reblog, enjoy! :)

One of the few perks of working for the Ministry of Magic was getting the whole week before Christmas off. Most witches and wizards used this time to catch up on holiday shopping and spend time with their families, but you were absolutely dreading the upcoming break.

It was the Friday before Christmas week, and you were eating lunch in Percy Weasley’s office.

Both of you had been best friends at Hogwarts, and had started working at the Ministry together after graduating last spring. It was genuinely fantastic being able to see him every day, even if your job filing paperwork in the Office of Misinformation was far less thrilling than being Bartemius Crouch’s personal assistant.

“So, how’s the promotion been?” you asked between bites of your sandwich, gesturing to the room around you. “New office, better proximity to the coffee machine.” Percy chuckled.

“It’s definitely more than I expected,” he admitted, looking around the room with you. He’d just moved into the next space a week and a half ago, and this was the first time you’d had your daily lunch here.

“It’s also definitely better than your old cubicle,” you pointed out. His eyes widened and he nodded, giving you an exasperated look.

“I wasn’t going to complain about it, but that situation was not ideal,” he said. You laughed, remembering Percy’s many complaints about the constant flow of traffic throughout the Department of International Cooperation and how difficult it was to get work done.

“And how’s Crouch? He’s still treating you well?”

Percy nodded and gave you a small smile.

“He’s really great, actually. Obviously a bit busy with all the Triwizard Tournament stuff happening at Hogwarts, but he still makes an effort to show me how to do things and introduce me to people.”

You grinned, reaching across the desk to give him a high-five. “You’re making your way up there, Perce.”

“Thank you, m’lady,” he said, straightening up some of the paperwork he’d been working on. “And how about you, how’s your job been?”

“Oh, same old, same old,” you said dismissively. His brows furrowed.

“I thought you were going to talk to Buttons about a new position?” he asked seriously. You shrugged. Your boss, Lois Buttons, was a lovely old witch, but very scatter-brained and easily overwhelmed.

“I didn’t want to give her one more thing to worry about before Christmas, you know?”

Percy sighed. “(Y/n), you’re never going to get into a different division if you don’t ask. They’ll just promote you and you’ll be stuck there forever.”

You bit your lip. “I mean, that wouldn’t be terrible,” you lied. “The process of actually coming up with explanations for magical incidents seems interesting.”

“But you’ve wanted to work in the Beast Division since our third year,” Percy insisted. You looked down at your hands, slightly embarrassed, and Percy sighed. “Listen, I don’t mean to push, but if you want it I think you should go for it.”

You nodded slowly.

“I can talk to her, if you’d rather not,” Percy added. “Plant the idea in her head.”

“Oh, Percy, I don’t know if I could ask for that,” you said, brows knitting together.

“Well, the offer stands regardless,” he insisted. “After the holiday, we can discuss how we want to go about it.”

Your stomach dropped at the mention of the upcoming break. Percy seemed to pick up on your change in mood.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked sincerely.

“Well, even if I wanted to go home, my parents won’t be back from vacation until Christmas Eve, which means I’ll be spending most of next week alone,” you admitted. “And you know I don’t really like ongoing periods of solitude.”

Percy nodded, then gave you a confused look. “You said…even if you wanted to?”

You sighed and nodded. “You know my parents aren’t the most agreeable people.” Percy snorted.

“That’s an understatement.”

Your parents were both muggles who disapproved of anything magical whatsoever. Thus, they harbored a not-so-small amount of disdain for your current life path. Any time you spent with them was miserable.

“So I’m not really looking forward to, you know, a week of being alone with nothing to do and then a few days of close contact with Mr. and Mrs. Ebenezer Scrooge.”

Percy chuckled at your joke, leaning back in his chair thoughtfully. Suddenly, his face lit up, and he slapped his desk triumphantly. “I have a solution!”

You jumped, and Percy gave you an apologetic look.

“Sorry,” he said meekly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“It’s ok, it’s ok,” you said, relaxing back in your seat and gesturing for him to continue.

“Why don’t you spend Christmas at the Burrow with all of us, like you did during school,” he said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“Oh, Percy, I wouldn’t want to intrude, I’m sure your poor mother is already stressed enough-”

“(Y/n), stop,” he interrupted. “I genuinely won’t hear it. There’s no way me or anyone else will be able to enjoy Christmas knowing you’re miserable and lonely. You’re coming.”

You blinked, processing his proposition, and a small grin spread across your face.

“Okay,” you said slowly. “I like this idea.”

“Success!” Percy cheered.

“When do we leave?” you asked, still smiling.

“Later tonight,” Percy said, picking up a quill and looking back down at the paper in front of him.

“Tonight?” you asked incredulously. “Percy, I have to pack!”

“I’ll apparate to your place and then we can, y’know, apparate there together,” he said, waving his hands around as he spoke.

“Alright, well, see you tonight,” you said, standing up to leave and feeling ten times better about the week ahead of you.

“See you tonight! And close the door on your way out!”

— — —

Walking into the Burrow with Percy felt overwhelmingly like coming home. It took all of five seconds for Fred and George to wrap you in a bone-crushing hug, and you found yourself whirling between conversations with Harry, Ron, and Hermione as the twins helped you bring your bags upstairs.

“You’ll be staying with Ginny and I,” Hermione said excitedly, squeezing your hand.

“Oh, Mione, that sounds lovely,” you gushed, pulling her in for a hug. “It’s so good to see you.”

“You as well,” she replied, pulling you in closer.

“Roomies!” Ginny shrieked, bolting in the room and tackling you both. The three of you burst into laughter on the ground.

You ran into Percy on your way down the stairs.

“They whisked you away so fast, I had no idea where you went,” he chuckled. You grinned.

“I still haven’t said hi to your parents so I’m on my way to do that now.”

“Mum’s in the kitchen!” he called as you continued down the stairs.

You walked through the doorway that connected the living room and dining room and immediately encountered Mr. Weasley.

“(Y/n)!” he cried, setting down the stack of plates he was carrying to give you a proper hug. “Oh, it’s lovely to see you! You’ll have to pardon the mess. Molly, (Y/n)’s here!”

You grinned as Mrs. Weasley raced into the dining room, apron on and wooden spoon in hand. She pushed her husband out of the way to greet you.

“(Y/n), darling,” she smiled. “It’s absolutely lovely to see you, happy holidays!”

“Happy holidays, Mrs. Weasley,” you replied, hugging her back happily. “Thank you so much for letting me come visit.”

“Oh, dear, it’s not a visit when you’re practically part of the family!” she insisted as she pulled away. “Come keep me company in the kitchen while I cook.”

You happily obliged, following her into the kitchen where you found Bill and Charlie standing around the cluttered wooden table. Your pulse quickened almost immediately.

Bill was six years older than you and Charlie was four, and while you hadn’t spent too much time around them while you were at Hogwarts you’d always been intimidated by the eldest Weasley siblings.

“Hey (Y/n),” Bill said warmly, giving you a quick wave. Charlie looked up from the dough he was kneading and smiled brightly.

“Hi,” you said a little nervously, giving them a small smile before following Molly over to the stove. “Can I help you with anything, Mrs. Weasley?”

“Why don’t you help Bill and Charlie make the bread,” she suggested. “You can make your own batch of dough, Merlin knows we still won’t have enough loaves.” You grinned, grabbing a clean bowl from the countertop and heading over to Bill.

“All the ingredients are here,” he said, gesturing to the mess on the table in front of him.

You nodded, clearing a little spot for you to work and setting your bowl down.

“How’ve you been, (Y/n)?” Charlie asked.

“Oh, uh, pretty good, how about you?” you replied, scanning the table for the flour and salt. “How’s Romania?”

“Oh, it’s fantastic,” Charlie said genuinely, eyes lighting up a little. “We just took in a few rescues, and they’ve just started adjusting which is great-”

“Oh, the Hebridean Blacks, right?” you interrupted. Charlie gave you a surprised look and nodded.

“Yea, actually, how did you know about that?”

“I read it in the paper,” you replied sheepishly, adding some yeast to your bowl.

“(Y/n) works with Percy at the Ministry, you know,” Molly said from behind you.

“Really?” Bill asked, looking over at you.

“Well, not with him,” you clarified. “I work in the Office of Misinformation, so different departments.”

“You like that job?” Charlie asked, brows furrowed. You shrugged again.

“It’s not really what I want to do, but I’ll take it.”

“Well, what is it that you want-”

Charlie was cut off by the twins storming into the kitchen demanding when dinner would be ready. Somehow, they managed to whisk you away from your spot at the table on their way out, giving Molly some excuse about needing you for “academic purposes” (which was most certainly a lie). You gave Bill and Charlie an apologetic look as the twins dragged you behind them.

The Burrow had always been your favorite place to celebrate the holidays, with its charming, cozy atmosphere and the surplus of people. That being said, you weren’t completely free of work in the days leading up to Christmas. You and Percy had spent a few afternoons trying to get things done in the living room, but the hustle and bustle of everything had made it difficult.

That was what had led you to staying up until one in the morning, filling out paperwork on the couch by yourself with a nice cup of tea. You were sure you’d regret it in the morning, but at least you’d gotten the last of your work done. Unfortunately, you weren’t sleepy in the slightest.

Some time ago you’d traded accident reports for your Dragonology book, fantasizing about working for the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau as you did. One day, when you worked up the courage to ask for a division transfer, you’d get that job. Hopefully.

Your head snapped up as the stairs creaked softly, eyes meeting those of Charlie Weasley as he made his way into the living room. He winced, giving you a sheepish smile.

“Sorry to scare you,” he murmured.

“No worries,” you replied softly, watching as he made his way over to the couch.

“This seat taken?” he asked, gesturing to the spot next to you. You shook your head, sliding over to give him more room.

You sat in silence for a bit, sneaking glances at the built redhead on the other side of the couch more often than reading the book on your lap. His eyes were closed, head tilted back slightly and a peaceful look on his face.

“You couldn’t sleep either?” he asked finally. You shook your head, then realized his eyes were still shut.

“No, I was staying up doing work and then I wasn’t tired when I finished,” you answered. “How about you?”

“Romanian time is two hours ahead of here,” he said. “Not a humongous difference but enough to ruin my sleep schedule.”

“Traveling always makes me need to nap,” you said. Charlie chuckled.

“Is that where you vanished to the other day when you fled the kitchen?” he asked.

“Oh, no, that was top secret Weasley Twins business,” you teased. “Absolutely confidential.” Charlie gave you a knowing look, and you blushed slightly. “There mayhave been some napping after the top secret business was done.”

“I knew it!” he grinned, lifting his fist up in an exhausted triumph.

A comfortable silence fell over the room, save for the clock ticking and the fireplace crackling.

“You said you finished your work, so what’s that?” Charlie asked, sitting up slightly as he gestured to the book in your hands.

“Oh, uh, personal reading,” you said, showing him the cover. “For fun.”

His eyes lit up as he read the title. “Dragons! I know those!”

Your heart skipped a beat at his lopsided grin.

“Yea, they’re quite fascinating, and really beautiful I think,” you said, eyes trailing over the illustrations on the page you were reading.

“Great minds think alike,” Charlie smiled, giving you a wink. You blushed, looking away from the smirking redhead in front of you.

“So, just a casual interest or something more?” he continued. You bit your lip, thinking about your answer.

“I’ve always wanted to do something with dragons,” you started finally, smiling faintly as Charlie physically perked up. “Care of Magical Creatures was like my thing in school, it was a natural progression of interest. I won’t say you weren’t an inspirational factor, but we don’t need to get into all that.” You could’ve sworn you saw a slight blush on Charlie’s cheeks.

“Well, you work in the Magical Creatures Department now,” he said. “It can’t be all that hard to transfer into the Beasts Division, and then try to do something more specialized.”

“It’s honestly probably not that difficult, but I’m terrified to talk to my boss about it,” you admitted.

“Why?”

“She really likes me, and if I transferred I’d be working with completely different people. I don’t want her to think that me asking to leave has anything to do with her at all, you know? What if she took it personally?”

“But do you like your job now?” he asked. You shook your head immediately.

“Not at all.”

“Then why not go for it?” he suggested. “What’s the harm? And if you decided you didn’t like it, you could always go back.”

You sighed. “I’m not nervous about that, I’m nervous once I get a taste of it, I’ll want to do what you do.” He opened his mouth and closed it, having no quick response. “Do you ever regret going into such a niche field?” you continued.

“Not at all,” he answered with a shake of his head.

“Even though it’s far away and kind of dangerous?”

He flashed you a devious grin. “That’s half of the appeal.” A beat. “Why are you nervous about wanting that kind of a career?”

“My parents wouldn’t like it,” you shrugged. His brows furrowed.

“They’re both muggles, right?”

You nodded. “And they really don’t like anything magic. Like at all.” Charlie gave you a confused look and you continued. “Don’t like my job, didn’t like me going to school or my friends. Definitely wouldn’t like me running off to a place like Romania to work with Dragons.”

Charlie nodded thoughtfully. “I can see why you have inhibitions. Though I must say, it takes an insanely compassionate person to account for thoughts of people who don’t have their best interests at heart.”

“Thanks, Charlie,” you murmured, blushing at his words. You pressed yourself back further into the couch.

“And obviously I don’t want to tell you to disregard your parents,” he said. “That would be shit advice. But at some point you do have to prioritize what you want.”

You nodded, eyes widening as you glanced at the clock on the wall.

“Sweet Merlin, it’s two o’clock!” you hissed, scrambling to your feet as you gathered all your papers from the coffee table. Charlie gave you a concerned look as he leaned forward to help you.

“Sorry to leave in the middle of the conversation, but I promised your sister I’d go Christmas shopping with her in the morning,” you explained, thanking him as he handed you a stack of filled out paperwork.

“Very kind of you,” he said with a smile. “Have to get your beauty sleep, though I’m sure you don’t need it.”

You blushed and murmured a goodnight as you walked past him, halting when he grabbed your hand. You looked down at him with wide eyes.

“I think you’d make an amazing Dragonologist, (Y/n),” he said lowly, looking up at you through his lashes as he pressed a slow kiss to the back of your hand. You could hear your heart pounding in your ears. “Sleep well.”

You squeaked out a response as he dropped your hand and rushed up the stairs. Your heart was still pounding as you closed the bedroom door behind you, relishing in the memory of his calloused hand on yours.

— — —

The first half of Christmas Eve was spent tidying up the house and helping Molly in the kitchen. Much to your chagrin, Ginny forced you and Hermione to take a break and join in on the annual Weasley Quidditch game.

You had absolutely no skill on a broom, and Hermione wasn’t that much better, so it was no surprise when you were both picked dead last.

Harry and Ginny were team captains (“To fuel the tension,” Fred had whispered to you with a smirk), and Ginny had picked Charlie to be her seeker. Fred and George were split so each team had a beater, and you wound up on Harry’s team with Ron, George, and Bill.

“(Y/n) can be the keeper,” Harry said as you discussed your team’s strategies. Ron gave him an offended look.

“Bloody hell, mate, you know that’s my best position!”

“But if (Y/n) is keeper she doesn’t have to fly around much,” Harry retorted with a tilt of his head. “And then we might actually have a chance at winning.” Harry gave you an apologetic look as you scoffed.

But he was right - Ron was still fantastic as a chaser, and you were terrible overall.

His strategy was primarily offensive, his reasoning being that if they kept the quaffle on the other side of the pitch, you wouldn’t have to do too much actual defense.

You tried your best, but Ginny was practically unstoppable when it came to scoring.

“Get your head in the game, (Y/n)!” Percy teased as he tossed the quaffle at you. You screeched and swatted it away with your hand. Your eyes widened as you watched the quaffle fall to the ground.

“Holy shit, I did it!” you shouted, laughing with Percy as you flew around the goalposts.

Your celebrations came to an end when Ginny snatched the quaffle and threw it straight into your chest, knocking you off your broom.

You yelped in surprise, closing your eyes and bracing for impact with the ground when you were caught by a rather sturdy pair of arms.

You opened an eye tentatively, blushing at the sight of Charlie with an attractive smirk on his face.

“That was a nice block,” he said. “And an even nicer fall. Very graceful.”

You struggled to find words as he reached out and caught your falling broom, quirking an eyebrow as he looked back down at you.

“Uh, thank you,” you stammered, relishing in the feel of his body against yours as he landed on the ground and set you back on your broom.

“No problem,” he said with a wink, taking off to scold Ginny and leaving you speechless on the ground.

“What in the name of Merlin was that?” Percy asked with a shocked smile as he flew down to check in on you. “I had no idea you’d been seduced by my older brother.”

“He hasn’t seduced me,” you groaned as you lifted off the ground. “Not too much, anyways.”

By the time dinner was done, you were completely exhausted from Quidditch, helping Molly, and your impending food coma. You collapsed on the couch dramatically, hugging your legs to your chest as you watched the twins try to rope people into a game of exploding snap.

You grinned as Charlie moved to sit next to you, ignoring Percy’s suggestive eyebrow wiggle from his seat across from you.

“How’re you feeling?” he asked, scooching closer to you as more people sat down on the couch.

“Like I might explode,” you groaned, pulse quickening as his thigh touched yours.

“Just like the cards!” Charlie said, pointing at the game in front of you. You laughed at the wide grin on his face.

“Very nice joke,” you said in a posh voice, clapping your hands together softly. “Ten points for execution.”

“Thank you, thank you, I came up with it myself,” he said, winking at you as he stretched his arms over the back of the couch.

You blushed, hyper aware of his arm behind you. “You have to stop doing that,” you said exasperatedly, a small grin on your face.

“Doing what, sweetheart?” he asked with a smirk. You rolled your eyes.

“The winking, it gets me all flustered,” you stated matter-of-factly.

“Oh, and why’s that?” he teased, leaning towards you slightly.

“Because it’s extremely attractive and I think Percy would probably spontaneously combust if I snogged his older brother at a family function,” you said innocently, leaning in and grinning as his cheeks turned bright red. “Trust me, Weasley, two can play at this game.”

“Noted,” he grinned, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and pulling you into his side. “Let me know if this is too much.”
You shook your head, giving him a small smile as you rested your head on his chest. “This is perfect.”

You hoped he couldn’t feel how fast your heart was beating, deciding instead to focus on the feeling of his muscular torso under his sweater. A couple years working with dragons had definitely changed his physique, though he’d always been on the more muscular side. You dragged your fingers down his chest, slowing to a stop in the middle of his stomach, and felt his breath hitch.

“Careful,” he murmured, bringing his spare hand up to engulf yours. You grinned up at him, biting your lip as his calloused thumb traced small circles on the back of your hand.

“I am being careful,” you retorted. “I’m just…admiring.”

“Admiring?” he said, giving you an amused look. You nodded.

“Oi lovebirds!” Fred called, “you two playing exploding snap or not?”

You rolled your eyes, glancing at Fred and shaking your head.

“Afraid not, Freddie.”

“Sorry, mate,” Charlie added. “Maybe tomorrow night.”
“It’s snowing!” Ginny exclaimed, jumping up from the floor and racing over to the window. “Look!”

You grinned, leaping off the couch to join her. Sure enough, snow was falling softly outside, a light dusting already covering the ground.

Charlie pushed himself off the couch, walked over to stand behind you and rested his hands on your hips. You glanced over your shoulder at him, giving him a warm smile, before returning your attention to the developing winter wonderland in front of you.

“I’m going outside,” you declared, wiggling out of Charlie’s grip to grab your coat off the hook by the door. “Want to see the snow up close and personal.”

Charlie raised an eyebrow then shrugged, reaching for his own coat and slipping on his boots.

“You like the snow, huh?” he asked with a smile as he followed you outside.

You nodded gleefully, meandering around the porch as you inspected the amount of snow.

“I’d say this is a good centimeter or so,” you said thoughtfully, bending down and grabbing a handful.

“Is it?” Charlie asked teasingly. You nodded, spinning around and hurling your newly formed snowball at him. He dodged it easily, laughing loudly as he stepped forward and pulled you closer to him.

You smiled, wrapping your arms around his torso and resting your forehead on his chest. The two of you stood there for a moment, swaying in the cold air.

“If I’m being too forward you can tell me,” Charlie said finally, “but I’d really like to take you out for dinner before we both go back to work.”

You looked up at him brightly. “I’d love that, Charlie, really.”

“And then, maybe if you’re not too busy, you could come visit me in Romania sometime and see some dragons?” he suggested, gazing down at you. You nodded and snuggled in closer to him.

“The snow is gorgeous,” you said softly, committing the soft “thump” of his heartbeat to memory.

“Like you,” Charlie replied quickly. You pulled back and swatted his chest playfully.

“Charlie Weasley, are you trying to flatter me?”

“Maybe,” the tall ginger murmured, bending down to rest his forehead against your own. You sucked in a breath, overwhelmed with the proximity of your face and his, and how easy it would be to just lean forward and…

“You said something about snogging earlier,” Charlie said cheekily.

“Want to take me up on that offer?” you suggested breathlessly. He grinned, reaching up to cup the back of your head as he pressed his lips to your firmly. Your eyes fluttered closed, relishing in the feel of his mouth on yours for a moment before parting your lips to deepen the kiss. You moved your hands up to his broad shoulders, pulling him in closer to you.

And as the two of you continued to kiss in the snow, you realized this Christmas wouldn’t be half as bad as you had thought.

Yes. Whatever is it that you do in that bathroom, MC?

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Wink wink nudge nudge. Also, Talbott in the background just staring into the fiery abyss/eavesdropping on the conversation.

Requests are now open! I previously wrote on Wattpad where I got over 200K views but I have since deleted my work due to the data breach and the fact I wrote it years ago and I believe my writing has improved vastly. (Well I hope so, lol).
Unfortunately, I am a bit rusty, which means I will only write the minimum of one thousand words per request. I also enjoy writing in detail, sorry if you do not like that.
I decided to keep my Secondary Blog as a Middle-Earth/Tolkien one!
I previously took a break, for personal reasons, but I have mustered the confidence to return. I apologise if I did not write your requests before, I feel awful, and please FEEL FREE to send them in again - there appears to be an error with my ask box and most of my requests have disappeared.

What do I write?

I write ‘x readers’.

I will also write for ships - for example, Harry Potter (as I know the most about the couples in it).  I will also write ‘Jily’, (for Harry Potter) because that is superior.

What fandoms do I write for on my main blog?

  • Harry Potter (all Eras)
  • Narnia
  • Netflix Bridgerton

What fandoms to I write for on this blog?

  • The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings

Pleaserequest here if you have any requests for these fandoms, same rules apply, or simply click on my blog on the ask button @daydreams-magic01-mrsdurin.

(You can ask me if there are any other fandoms I write for, but these are my main ones)

Rules:

I do have rules and limits, as there are things that make my uncomfortable.

:)

  1. I write for all genders and sexualities, as well as body types, etc. Discrimination is not welcomed here.
  2. No hate! If you don’t like my work, please don’t be rude about it. I have tried my hardest and whilst I appreciate constructive feedback, bullying and hate is just rude. I have never and will never attend to offend anyone or make them uncomfortable, I always try to put in the right tags also. If there are any issues, please put them in my ask box (however, it may be a few days until I reply as I don’t look in there until I have completed my current request) I apologise in advance and it is most likely due to an error or accident. Thank you :)

If I make an error, please message me privately - I once had an autocorrect issue where a tag went to ‘teddy lupin x male reader’ on my blog when it was for  a female reader as I was in a rush and did not realise I had already done the female tag. I am sorry again and an issue like this will never happen again, and I shall always double check from now on.

  1. I will never write anything underage so please request someone who is of age. I won’t mention anything triggering in too much detail as I don’t want to upset anyone. I will not write (describe) rape, it will always be consensual.
  2. If there is anything triggering, I will mention at the top. Remember, I love you guys.
  3. I am trying to improve my smut skills, but writing it does make me uncomfortable. I won’t write anything messed up, too graphic, dark, or kinky or to do with rape.
  4. Please do not copy or share my work in your own books or on another website! This is my hard work, and my writing. It should only be found on this blog. So please don’t. I find it very annoying and rude. (This includes futures and previous works)
  5. You will only find my work here. (I realise I emphasise this and I’m sorry)
  6. Please include the gender, and which person you would prefer it in as I don’t want to annoy you if I make an error (I usually write in third person but if you do not prefer this, please say so). It can also be very difficult to write without this.  Please include anything else which you find necessary to apply.
  7. When you request I will make it time appropriate to the movie or show unless stated otherwise. However, can you please clarify when you want it, for example, if the show spans over a number of years. If it isn’t necessary then I will just set it after. :)
  8. I will always try to use the spelling and slang from where it is set.
  9. Unless if I say other wise, your request should be posted within the week.
  10. Have a wonderful day. I can’t remember any other rules right now but it’s like 3am.

Thank you!

Author is always me on this blog: @daydreams-magic01and@daydreams-magic01-mrsdurin as I have decided to keep as a Tolkien blog for requests, and in that case only future Tolkien work should only be found on there, and all previous Tolkien work as well as all my other requests should only be found on my main blog. No where else.

Please say if you wanted to be added to a tag list.

Please feel free to request on my main blog unless you have any Hobbit and Lord of the Rings requests and wish to see me having a Tolkien blog, then do it on this one, haha. (That link is to my previous Lotr and Hobbit Masterlist).

Please say if you wanted to be added to a tag list.

Late Night Burns (Charlie Weasley x Reader)

A NIGHT UNDER THE STARS IN ROMANIA WITH CHARLIE

Harry Potter - Charlie Weasley x Reader

A/N: Just a little drabble to get me back into our favorite dragon boy.

Masterlist

The sun is just setting. Wisps of light shown through the valleys of the mountain range you are finally starting to call home. Though home may be less the mountains and more the man sitting beside you watching those rays of light disappear behind the snowcapped peaks.

“You know, it’s too late to hike back home,” Charlie says, wrapping his arm around your shoulders as he takes a seat beside you on the rocks. The fire in front of you is dying down to embers— signs of a day well spent enjoying each other and pretending to conduct your research.

“We brought the camping gear, didn’t we?”

“Of course, love, but this valley isn’t exactly… the safest.”

As if on cue, a large dragon shrieks as it flies overhead, heading towards the breeding grounds just on the other side of the mountains.

“God, every time I see one, I’m still blown away,” you muse, nestling further into Charlie’s arms as the chill of the night grows thicker.

“Same way I feel every morning I get to wake up and look at you.”

He’s looking a at the dragon overhead, his words flying into the air with the gorgeous creature. When he looks back down at you, his cheeks are red— and not just from the cold wind whipping at your face. Blood rushes through your body, too. It’s amazing how, even after all this time, he could still make your heart race like it was your first time in the courtyard, sharing a stolen kiss after a study session.

“Well, tomorrow, you’ll get to wake up looking at me and those beautiful dragons,” you laugh.

“My dream morning.”

Just as Charlie begins to stand to build you tent and set up camp, another ear-piercing cry comes from above. You only have a moment to cover your head with your hands before the flames cover all the grasses in front of you. The dragon draws a line on the ground before swooping back up to meet his mate.

It’s Charlie’s arms around you that bring you back to reality. When you blink your eyes back open, the grasses around you are burning down to ash.

“Charlie, are you okay?”

“I’m fine. I’m much more worried about you.”

He runs his hands across your face and down your jaw, when his palm rests on your neck, feeling your pulse, he lets out a sigh of relief.

That makes you laugh. “Did you really need reassurance?”

“In this world, you can never be too certain,” he kisses the top of your head, holding you to him for a long moment, enough to let the warmth spread down your body.

Charlie’s voice pulls you from the warm moment.

“Good news is those embers are lit again.”

You turn around to see the fire you’ve enjoyed all day fully ablaze once again. “Good thing we won’t be cold tonight,” you say as you turn towards your hiking bags. But Charlie grabs your wrist before you can leave.

“There was no chance of being cold with you here, but now we can at least cook dinner.”

It’s a simple thought, sharing body heat through the night with the man you love more than any other, but it’s a beautiful one all the same. And another night under the stars, surrounded by gorgeous countryside with thick red whiskers tickling your neck as Charlie holds you tight, is the most beautiful thought of all.

Harry Potter - Charlie Weasley x Reader

Summary: A trip to visit you and Bill in Egypt leaves Charlie feeling like he’d never be able to escape Bill’s shadow. Bill has always had your heart, as long as Charlie could remember. But maybe he’s wrong.. and maybe he just needs a little encouragement to see it.

A/N: Angst and fluff. Charlie is a bit of a sad sap for a lot of this, but it resolves itself. It’s nice to get back into Charlie writing. I’ve missed this man. MC is the MC from HP:HM.

Wind blew sand across his heated cheeks, each grain leaving microscopic scratches that brought water to his eyes. The exertion of the hike through the desert shouldn’t have left him as breathless as it did, given that Charlie prided himself in his physical stamina. Years of quidditch practices, and now all the time he trekking the Carpathians chasing down dragons, had given him hardened muscles and strengthened lungs. He was in peak physical form.

But sand… few things can prepare you for sand.

“How much further, Bill?” Charlie asked as he wiped his brow.

Bill’s voice was light, “Not long at all, brother.”

But it was a second voice that left Charlie far more breathless than any hiking could.

Over the cresting peak of the next stand dune, holding a scarf tight to your head against the prevailing winds, stood a figure fully in shadow. But it was a figure he’d know anywhere— a figure he memorized for years, one that haunted his dreams with regrets. That figure that he’d memorized with his eyes, he had longed to memorize it with his hands, too. But he never said a word. No, and he probably never would.

“William Arthur Weasley! I thought you were the good brother.”

You let out a laugh and Charlie heart did flips— backwards and forwards, the oscillating making him a little ill. It was a confusing feeling. The beautiful sound of your voice made his stomach fill with butterflies. But the way in which you purred Bill’s name with such intimacy stabbed him in the deepest parts of his chest.

Back at Hogwarts, your admiration of Bill had been secret to no one. But Bill’s love of you had been a secret only Charlie had known. But Bill was two years older— which now seemed silly, but when you were teenagers seemed like the biggest chasm in existence. So Charlie shut his mouth and let his big brother flirt with the only person whom ever had piqued his interest.

“I am the good brother!” Bill called as he jogged up the next dune like it was nothing. He scooped you up into a hug and Charlie tried not to groan out loud.

You patted Bill’s arm to tell him to put you down. And when your feet hit the ground, your eyes finally found Charlie’s.

Now that you were closer, Charlie could make our your face. Your smile was bright and your face a little dirty, but nothing else was different than he remembered. Truthfully, it had been less than a year since he had seen your face, but if his time at Hogwarts had taught him anything, it was that a lot could change in a year.

“Would a good brother force their sibling to trek through the desert when there is a perfectly functioning portkey back at camp? One that I painstakingly set up for Charlie last night?”

Bill chuckled and threw an arm around your shoulders. “How’s Charlie supposed to appreciate this place if he doesn’t earn it?”

With a roll of your eyes, you moved to Charlie. He watched as your smile grew. And did you bite your lip? No, he must be imagining things.

You opened your arms, “A hug for your favorite curse-breaker?”

Charlie heard Bill grumble as he pulled you into his arms, warmth immediately spreading through his chest. You clung to his back as you rested your head in the crook of his shoulder. He felt your breath on his neck, turning the sweat coating his collar into a conduit for the perfect trail of goosebumps. And when you sunk even further into his arms, he closed his eyes.

“I’ve missed you, Charles,” you said so only he could hear. But Bill’s voice pulled you away before he could return the sentiment.

“We should probably get into these ruins before the sun gets any higher.”

“Yes, sir,” you called to Bill, though you rolled your eyes so only Charlie could see. He laughed, a real genuine laugh, the kind he forgot you often gave him.

Since Charlie had really only made the trip down to Egypt to spend time with his brother, he didn’t focus much on the tour of the ruins that you gave him. He knew vaguely of the work you did, the kinds of treasures you found and the curses you had to break along the way, but the specifics were lost on him. He had never been particularly skilled at ancient ruins and the histories of the magical world were just as boring to him as the teacher that taught them.

He did focus on how you spoke about everything though. There was a lightness in your voice that somehow made all the danger and the drudgery seem commonplace. There was an excitement in each new thing you shared that reminded him so much of how his own voice must sound when discovering a new nest of dragon eggs. And more importantly, there was a softness in your eyes when you looked at him, gauging if he was paying attention, that made him feel like a boy again— not a man grown but a young teenager making some excuse about not being interested in dances just so he wouldn’t have to deal with that pang of rejection when you inevitably invited Talbott, Penny, or, Merlin forbid, Bill.

It wasn’t until later that night, when you were back at your tents that Charlie fully processed the situation he found himself in. Yes, you were both here as part of a larger Gringotts team, but the rest of the team was staying much closer to town, in a camp set up for easy community between the markets and the excavation site. But you and Bill, as the leads and as the primary magical line of defense, were staying in tents right beside the ruins. It was just the two of you, alone, with only the stars and each other for company, for weeks on end.

And now Charlie would be sleeping here beside you both.

The bonfire was burning high as Bill recounted a story from your last expedition. Charlie smiled along as he should but it didn’t meet his eyes.

“Then Y/N here had the brilliant idea of just pushing on the stones,” Bill laughed.

“Hey, you thought it was brilliant, too, at the time, until that doorway started to collapse.” You cast more fire upon the embers in front of you before standing to grab more food. But before you could pass, Bill grabbed you around the waist, pulling you into his lap and causing you to fall into a fit of giggles.

“Bill!”

You fell back into his arms, kicking and squirming, but less from the hold he held on you and more from the way his face nuzzled into you neck.

Charlie watches on at the intimate display, hating how his brain computed how this scenario might play out if he hadn’t been sitting right here. Bill would grab you close, nuzzle into your neck until those giggles turned to sighs. His brother was so good at totting that line between playful and sexy. He always drew potential partners to him that way, with a cool exterior that could turn fiery on a dime. And once that first sigh left your lips, Bill would carry you back to his tent and well— he couldn’t let his mind continue. It hurt far too much.

When he opened his eyes again, you were swatting Bill away with your hand as he reached once more for your waist. You were standing now and gave Bill a look of warning, one finger raised, that Charlie would recognize anywhere.

“You try anything again, William, and I’ll—“

“And you’ll what, my love? You’ve got nothing and you know it. You’re stuck out here with me, good or bad.”

You shake your head. “You’re lucky I like you.”

You turned to Charlie and offered him a genuine smile. He did his best to return it.

You spoke to Bill as you walked to the blanket upon which Charlie was sitting. Your eyes stayed on him, even as you spoke to his brother. “Charlie here came all this way just to spend time with you, and you’re boring him to death with flippant ramblings. Don’t be rude.”

And then you sat down beside Charlie, your legs touching as you somehow managed to take up as little space in the giant blanket as possible. Your eyes turned to the fire as you spoke only to him. “Apologies for Bill. He gets a little over-stimulated when we uncover a big find. He’s been so excited for you to get here. Hasn’t shut up about it all week.”

You kicked a bit of the sand and Charlie watched the small cloud it made move over the fire.

“Don’t worry. Bill has a few days off. We’ll get more time together this week.”

You reached over and squeezed Charlie’s hand. It felt nice so he didn’t let you. And you didn’t pull away either.

“Well, I was hoping I might be able to steal at least one of the days you are here… if you want to spend it with me,” you said, again your eyes never leaving the fire.

Charlie looked at your joined hands, and then caught his brothers eyes across the bonfire, and immediately dropped yours from his grip.

“We’ll see… I think Bill has a busy schedule for us.”

You sighed and the sound alone gripped Charlie in the chest.

“Sure, I wouldn’t want to intrude.”

“Charlie, take a walk with me,” Bill’s voice called over the fire. It was stern, the kind of voice Bill used with Fred and George, never with him.

“Didn’t we walk through the desert enough today?”

Bill was beside him in a flash and pulling him by the arm. You looked up at both men with a quiver of your lip.

Once Charlie was standing, Bill leaned down and spoke, “Mind setting up the tents, my love? Charlie can have his own or he can stay with me, whichever is easier.”

“I’ll make sure Charlie is comfortable, don’t worry.”

“Good,” Bill said before kissing your forehead. Then he turned and was heading into the dark, assuming Charlie would follow him.

The brothers sat together on the stone edge of what once must have been a beautiful statue, but was now only rubble. In the distance, the bonfire was a dot of bright and your form could be seen moving about fabric and linens moving through the air with a wave of your broom.

Bill crossed his ankles and looked up at the stars.

“This is not the Charlie I thought was coming to Egypt.”

“What does that mean?”

“Where’s my cheerful, excited, nerdy brother who loves being outdoors almost as much as he loves spending time with me?”

Charlie sighed, “It’s hard to be cheerful when—“ Charlie cut himself off. There was no point in saying it.

“Charlie, talk to me.”

“…when I have to watch you and Y/N together.”

There was silence. A long silence.

“You love Y/N,” Bill finally said, more statement than question. Charlie didn’t respond.

After a moment, Charlie finally said, “I know I have no right for it to upset me. You can date whomever—“

“Whoa,” Bill blurted, turning to his younger sibling. The taller of the two, Bill really towered over Charlie now, his chest puffed out. “You think— oh, shit, Charlie— no.”

Bill shook his head, his long hair falling in front of his eyes as he let out a laugh.

“Y/N is my best friend. You know that. I trust no one more in this world, other than you and mum. And I spend every day with them. They’re family.”

Charlie still didn’t say anything. Instead, he watched your form in the distance, patiently setting up his tent.

“We tried dating once, you know?”

“Really?” Charlie turned to his brother now, focused but cautious.

“Yeah, like a year ago. We went on, I don’t know, three dates, maybe four, but I tried for a kiss one night and our noses bumped. We both thought it was hilarious. We just kept laughing. And soon we both realized we cared far more about laughing than kissing. And we just dropped the whole thing. I won’t pretend I wasn’t a little disappointed. Y/N was right, though; we make much better friends. But Charlie—“ Bill cuts himself off with a laugh, “Well, I guess you know just as well as I do that there’s probably not a more attractive person, in appearance yes, but in heart and soul, that either of us have ever laid eyes on.”

Charlie slowly began to speak, “I was hoping coming here I might find the courage to… I don’t know, say something for once. But then you shared that hug when we arrived and… I just lost all confidence. I can’t compete with you, Bill. I’ll never win,” Charlie’s last words were strained, more groan than language.

“I’m not competition here, Charlie. I’ll be honest with you and say I don’t think I ever have been. If you had been the Weasley attempting that kiss, I don’t think a little nose bump would have deterred Y/N.”

Charlie’s eyes scanned his brother’s face for any sign of deception. But this was Bill. There wasn’t a more honest man alive, and not a bone in his body would ever dare be so cruel.

“You know, Y/N hasn’t shut up about you coming. Apparently there is some ancient dragon breeding ground not far from here. They made me promise not to take you there because they wanted to witness your face when you saw it for the first time. Y/N has been a complete mess of nervous energy. I believe the exact words were, ‘I’ve missed him so much, Bill, so much it hurts.’”

“Y/N really said that?”

“Yeah, I didn’t think much of it at the time, but after seeing the complete sadness that crossed Y/N’s face when you let go of their hand… I guess it finally made sense.”

Bill gave Charlie’s back a good hit, pushing him off the stone.

“Think you’ve found your courage now?”

“I’ll try.”

The brothers walked back to the campsite just as you were sliding into your tent.

“Charlie, the one on the left is yours. I tried to make sure it was warm enough for you, but if you need any more blankets, let me know. Bill… goodnight.”

Just as the curtain to your tent was about to close, Charlie called out, “Wait, Y/N…”

You turned and offered Charlie a sad smile.

“Would you stay up a little longer with me?”

You looked at Charlie and then at Bill. Whatever was on Bill’s face must have encouraged you because you stepped out of the tent.

Bill nodded in parting before heading into his own tent for the night.

The fire was just embers now as Charlie took one of the blankets to make a seat for you both.

You sat down, this time much further away from Charlie than you had been before.

“What’s up, Charlie?”

Recalling the confidence Bill had instilled in him, he reached over and took your hand in his. He squeezed, and surprisingly you squeezed back.

“I’ve missed you,” Charlie breathed. “I know you told me that earlier, but I didn’t get to say it back. So this is me letting you know that I’ve missed you, too. So much it hurt.”

Your eyes shot over to his. He held your gaze, needing you to see the honesty there.

“Oh, Charlie,” you sighed. And before Charlie could process it, you were falling into his arms. That same warm breath found his neck, but it wasn’t laced with any of the fear or shame it brought with it this morning. No, this embrace was pure bliss.

He kisses your head, holding his lips there for a long moment, before finally pulling away.

“Hey, can I try something?” Charlie asked.

You looked into his eyes and nodded.

His hand slid to the base of your neck as he leaned forward to kiss you. You didn’t pull away. No, you leaned forward into his touch. But just as your mouths were about to meet, he turned his head and let his nose bump yours.

You pulled back a little shocked, and a small laugh left your lips.

“How about we try that again?” you whispered before guiding his face back to yours. Charlie didn’t stop it this time. He couldn’t if he wanted to.

And that kiss. Well, that kiss was heaven.

How in the fuck did I get here?

Honestly, thank y'all so much for 1000 I never expected that I would even get 100. So for the next two weeks, with some limits, (mentioned in my intro and master list post) I will write any imagine, blurb, headcanon, or oneshot that you send in a request for (Monday 2nd to Sunday 15th). I will also maybe accept asks or ideas for full fics with multiple chapters. So ask away!

I’m also going to update my master list so everything from the kink game and my previous fics will be on there by the end of the week and easily accessible.

You Have a Girlfriend?

Got an ask where Charlie’s longtime gf suprises him in Romania after some time long distance and his coworkers are just shocked that he’s dating someone because he never mentioned someone.

As you got off the train in Romania, you tried to figure out what the signs meant. Charlie had become fluent in Romanian over the past year, but as you had spent time training back home to be a healer, the most Romanian you had picked up was what you had heard Charlie speak over the phone.

After two very long hours of trying to navigate their transport, you arrived at the sanctuary where your long time boyfriend was stationed. As you passed through the gates, you could see him, running around and wrestling with a baby welsh green.

“Charlie!”

He looked up, shocked, and then a grin broke out into his face as he ran through the large paddock to scoop you up into his arms, the small dragon not far behind.

“I didn’t know you were coming!” You landed a kiss on his forehead before he could put you down.

“I wanted it to be a surprise, and I- oH!”

The baby dragon had sniffed out your shoes and begun to rub his face against them like a cat.

“That’s just Electra. Don’t worry, it just means she likes you.”

“Electra sounds like a stripper name.”

“That’s because my idiot coworkers named her after a stripper they saw the day before at a night club.”

You laughed as Electra stretched and sat besides the two of you, and then you pet her head lightly as she leaned into your hand.

“Speaking of coworkers- Xavier! Johanna! Margo! Get your arses over here!” An extremely toned man ran up, followed by two equally buff women.

“What’s this?” Xavier asked, his accent coming out thick.

“This is my girlfriend.”

“Y/N, nice to meet you all, I’ve heard a lot about you.”

They all shook your hand before Margo turned to Charlie.

“What the hell, mate? Why didn’t you tell us you had a girlfriend?”

“Yeah, and a hot one at that-hEY!” Johanna chimed in before dodging the hand that Margo threw her way.

“Sorry, must have slipped my mind.”

Xavier scoffed, “More like you didn’t want us knowing you were dating someone so cute-Ouch! The fuck, Margo?”

“Show her some damn respect.”

You let out a laugh, “ honestly it’s fine.”

The five of you set out to a nearby restaurant to get to know each other, and later on you split off so that you and Charlie could spend time alone.

“So Johanna names most of the dragons? Did she name Electra?”

“Yeah, I think she fell in love with that stripper that night.” The two of you collapsed on the couch, and you lay your head in his shoulder.

“So you didn’t tell them we were dating?”

“Nope, wanted you all to myself.” He stretched his arms around you and gave you a bear hug, laughing as you groaned a bit.

You looked up at him and pressed a kiss to his lips.

“Seems fair, don’t wanna share you either.”

A Weasley Wedding- pt2

Part one

Charlie Weasley x reader, Bill Weasley x reader, Bill Weasley x Fleur Delacour

You watched Charlie attempt to fix Bill’s bow tie and you let out a small chuckle. “What are you laughing at over there?” Your husband asked raising an eyebrow.

“What do you think I’m laughing at?” You asked motioning to the difference between your bow tie and Bill’s.

“You think you can do a better job?” Charlie challenged.

You nodded standing up from the small couch. “Obviously. Now stand aside my love and watch the master work her magic.” You placed a kiss on your husbands’ cheek as you made your way to Bill.

“Honestly the two of you would look like train wrecks if I wasn’t here.” You said as you tried to untie the knotted mess that Charlie had created.

“That’s not true, we dressed ourselves for the ball.” Bill pointed out.

“Yeah and if I recall correctly Andre and I were there to fix all your mistakes before we let you enter the hall.” You’d finally managed to unravel the tie when Molly called your name from somewhere in the house.

“I’ll go, clearly Bill’s going to need all the help he can get.” Charlie joked as he hugged you from behind before going to deal with the matron of the family.

He left and you turn your attention back to the man in front of you, the heels you wore with your suit added some height which were a tremendous help in aiding your friend.

You let your mind wander, this was the very same room that you’d gotten ready in when you’d married Charlie, the same room where Bill helped to calm your nerves. It made you think; was Bill nervous? Was he wondering if he’d be good enough for Fleur?

In all the years that you’d know Bill you never pictured him as anything other than sure of himself. The only time that came to mind was the situation that happened with that wench Emily Tyler. You figured it’d be best to say something and soothe nerves that weren’t there than to not say anything and have him be anything other that completely happy on his wedding day.

“I’m only joking you know, you actually look very handsome.” You said as you placed the finishing touches on his bow tie and took a step back.

“Even with the scars?” He joked with a smile.

“Yeah, they make you look cool, tough. Sorta the look you were going for when you put in that earring.” You grinned up at him. Bill let out a laugh and suddenly it’s like you were hit in the chest. ‘when I pictured you getting married, it wasn’t like this’

You felt like such an idiot, it’d taken you nearly four years to figure out what he meant and you stumbled back into the couch.

Immediately Bill rushed to your side, just as he always did, and unbeknownst to you, just as he always would. “(y/n) are you alright?” he asked placing a hand on your shoulder.

You looked into his blue eyes and you realized that you felt the exact same way, when you’d helped him deal with Emily you pictured his future with you. He’d been the one to help you with the first vault and nearly all the vaults after that, he’d been the one who you turned to when you found out Jacob was dark, he was the one to help you get a job as a curse breaker when you graduated, there hadn’t been a moment when he wasn’t at your side. In another universe you would have been the one to marry Bill, not Fleur.

“Oh Merlin.” You sighed a headache accompanied the sudden rush of information that bombarded you.

“Come on (y/n), don’t tell me you’re gonna faint, if anyone were to pass out it should be me.” He said shaking you gently.

You blinked rapidly trying to compose yourself. You let out a small huff of breath at just how stupid you’d been. “I get it now.” You said looking up at your best friend who furrowed his brows in confusion.

“I didn’t picture your wedding like this either.” You explained as you pulled yourself up off of the sofa. Bill’s mouth went wide.

“(y/n) I-”

“No, it’s okay,” You said placing a hand on his shoulder. “I’m not asking anything of you Bill. This just hit me hard, wow, nine years and it’s barely hitting me,” You laughed at your situation, because honestly there was nothing else to do.

“I love you.” Bill said placing a hand on your shoulder softly, almost as if he was unsure of the move.

“I love you too Bill. I always have, and honestly I always will,” You paused taking his hand from your shoulder and just holding onto it. “But it’s not a romantic love, not anymore. It’s deeper now-”

“Stronger.” Bill added with a smile.

“Yeah, honestly I think it’s stronger than anything we could have had if we’d been together.” You placed a kiss on his knuckles.

“I understand. It’s like you’re a part of me.” You nodded, trying to suppress the tears that threatened to fall. Bill had always been by your side, you loved him more than you loved your brother, more than you loved yourself.

“I love you, as more than a sister, more than a lover, you’re an extension of who I am, everything I am today, everything I have today is all because of you (y/n).” Bill cupped your cheek, wiping away a tear from your eye before it even fell.

“In another life it probably would have been you,” You added after a moment, “we probably would have had the wedding we pictured for each other.” You still loved Charlie, nothing had changed, he was still the one you envisioned your future with, this conversation wasn’t going to change four years of marriage.

Bill was a what-if, an alternate universe.

“I love you (y/n), more than life itself.” He said, and although he didn’t say it you could feel that he felt the same way, he wasn’t going to call off his wedding and the two of you weren’t going to run off together, but you did have an even deeper relationship now, if that was even possible.

“I love you too Bill, more than all the sands on the earth.” Your hands went to straighten his bow tie one last time. “Now, let’s go get  you married.” You leaned in to place a kiss on his cheek, however Bill turned his head at the last second and his lips met yours.

The kiss lasted only a moment but it did give you a vision of what life would have been like with him.

“I’m sorry,” Bill said as you two broke apart. “I just wanted to know what that felt like, at least once.”

“I know, maybe in the next life.” You took a step back, admiring him.

“So, how do I look?” He asked spinning for you.

“Like a total badass.” You told him.

“You guys ready?” Charlie asked coming into the room.

“Just about.” You said. “Bill, one last thing, if you hurt Fleur, I will make sure you pay for it, understand?”

Bill smiled and nodded, “Yes ma’am.”

“Good, now we’re ready.” You told your husband as you grabbed his hand allowing him to lead you to where Gabrielle and Ginny were waiting.

You grabbed a hold of Ginny’s arm and the two of you walked down the aisle.

—-

You watched Bill and Fleur share their first dance as a couple. They looked so happy together and you smiled as you recognized the way they looked at each other, it was the same way you and Charlie still looked at one another.

“I love you.” Charlie leaned down to whisper in your ear.

“I love you too, Charlie.” You said as you leaned into your husband’s embrace. Bill was yours in another life, but in this life you had Charlie Weasley and you couldn’t be any happier with that outcome.

A/n:Okay, let me know what you guys think and which part you liked better, personally I preferred the first but you’re the reader so what do I know?

Charlie weasley x reader, slight bill weasley x reader

Penny and Rowan fussed around you, Penny was fiddling with your veil ensuring that it wouldn’t fall out of place as you walked down the aisle while Rowan made sure your gown fell perfectly around you.

“Guys, you really need to stop, you’re both making me even more nervous than I already am.” You said glancing at yourself in the mirror.

“She already looks stunning, what more can you lot do?” Tonks questioned from her spot laying on the couch, shooting you a wink before throwing her head back once more.

You smiled at her though she was no longer looking at you. You took a deep breath, everything was exactly the way you’d envisioned it, your ivory gown flowed elegantly down to the ground, the delicate floral pattern went beautifully with the way Molly had decorated the Burrow. Your veil framed your face in a lovely manner, everything was perfect, the dress, the venue, the groom, you had no reason to feel nervous.

A knock at the door jolted you out of your thoughts. You looked up to see your best friend and soon to be brother-in-law Bill Weasley peek his head into the room. You instantly felt a little more at ease.

“Hey girls, can I have a moment alone with the bride?” He asked as he entered the small room. You nodded and all the girls shuffled out and he closed the door behind them. “How do you feel?” Bill asked making his way to you.

“Good, nervous,” You admitted, lying to Bill was never something you could do. “What if I’m a terrible wife? What if I don’t fit in in Romania? What if Charlie realizes that I was only girlfriend material and not wife material? What if the dragons hate me?” You asked all your doubts coming out in one big ball of word vomit.

“What if you’re an amazing wife? What if Charlie already knows that he’s extremely lucky to be marrying you? What if the dragons love you? What if I told you that no matter where you went you have a way of making people love you? What if the two of you end up with everything the two of you have ever wanted? What if you’re just completely overthinking this?” Bill shot back as he wrapped your hands in his, his touch helped to soothe your raging nerves.

“Thank you, Bill, I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you.” You said wrapping your arms around him tightly, Bill wrapped his arms around your waist holding you in a way that felt different to all the other times he’d hugged you. Something was off with him, you could feel it.

“Alright, it’s my turn to be a good sister and ask, what’s going on with you?” You asked pulling away from him. His eyes went wide as if he hadn’t expected such a question.

“What? Nothing, everything’s fine.” Bill said causing you to put your hands on your hips.

“William, I’ve spent the good majority of the past nine years practically attached to your side, you can’t lie to me anymore than I can lie to you.” You told him placing a hand under his chin to bring his gaze back to yours.

“It’s just, when I,” Bill took a deep breath he was unsure whether or not he should say his next words, “when I pictured you getting married, becoming a Weasley, it wasn’t exactly like this.” He admitted.

His words confused you, what did he mean by that? Did he think your wedding sucked? What was going through his mind?

“It’s the dress isn’t it?” You asked nervously, Bill sighed, you had no clue about the feelings he harbored, and maybe, Bill decided, that was for the best.

“No, you look absolutely lovely, and the wedding is beautiful. It’s me I was referring to, I mean look at me,” Bill said stepping back and allowing you to get a full look at him. “I mean I love the two of you so much I traded in my leather jacket for a tux!” Bill said making you laugh.

Bill pulled you into a tight hug and placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. “I love you (y/n), I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“Let’s hope we never have to find out.” You whispered into his chest.

“Come on, let’s get you to the alter.” He said smiling down at you.

You nodded, “Let’s make me an official Weasley!” You grinned your nerves from before were long gone.

Charlie, Bill, Andre and Barnaby stood expectantly at the end of the aisle, Charlie’s eyes were glued to you as you made your way to him, Mr. Weasley’s arm interlocked with yours as he walked you down, and it seemed as though not even a Hungarian Horntail would be able to rip his attention away from you.

You smiled at Charlie, never were you surer about your decision that you were at this moment.

Bill smiled a genuine smile, you were happy and that was all he’d ever wanted for you, it didn’t matter that he wasn’t the one to make you happy.

A/n:it’s been so long since I’ve written anything and honestly it feels good to post stories again. This one wasn’t requested by anyone it just sorta came to me and I figured it was about time I published something on this site! I hope you guys like it and I’m sorry if it’s a little rough around the edges. I also have an idea of doing a part 2 to this that takes place during Bill’s wedding, let me know if you guys are up for it.

The Moment I Knew | Part Three | Charlie Weasley x Reader

A/N: I love writing confident and shy Charlie. He’s too cute and pure.

Warnings: None, just fluff with a hint of angst

Series: Check out my master list for chapters one and two!

Walking towards the burrow, you felt a sense of belonging before you even fully stepped onto the property. As a teenager, you had spent countless holidays and summers with the Weasley’s. Being back felt like coming home—something you hadn’t felt in a long time.

Now, as you walked down the narrow pathway to the slightly lopsided house, you began questioning everything. If Bill, your best friend, was going to marry Fleur—would you still be welcome during holidays? Would Molly still send you a sweater with your first initial knitted on the front? How many owls would you get from Ginny telling you about her latest Quidditch games?

Then the insecurities started to appear. Did the dress look alright? Was it too long—too short? Did it hug just the right places or the wrong ones? Too tight or too loose? And your hair? Had you made it look presentable? The necklace—would he realize that it’s the one—

“Y/N!” A voice called out.

Looking up from the path, your eyes focused on none other than Charlie Weasley. For the first time in five years, you were looking at one of your best friends.

Ignoring the pain of running in heels, you burst into a run, sprinting down the rest of the pathway and into his arms, pulling him into a tight hug.

“You always were a hugger,” Charlie acknowledged, “Weren’t you?”

Swatting his shoulder, you teasingly scoffed, “As if you aren’t, Weasley.”

“You know, when I got your owl, I was quite surprised,” He admitted, pulling away from the hug and throwing an arm around your shoulder, “I didn’t expect you to come.”

Raising a brow, you looked at him sideways, “And why is that?”

He gave you a knowing look, “I think everyone but Bill knows.”

You pretended not to understand, “Know what?”

“Come on, Y/n/n, you can’t expect me to fall for that,” Charlie said, “You were one of the brightest, bravest witches that Hogwarts has ever seen. Finding out the truth about the cursed vaults? Remember that I was there, too. But…”

Rubbing your arm anxiously, you shook your head, “But what? How does this have to do with anything?”

“You’ve always worn your heart on your sleeve, love,” He frowned, “I’m just sorry that Bill never noticed.”

Your eyes met his, glossy with potential tears, “Charlie…”

“Y/N, can I tell you something?”

Nodding, you stopped walking, “Anything,”

“Y/N, I—”

“Hey!” A shout came from behind you, “I thought I said no aurors at the wedding!”

Turning, a smile appeared on your face, “If it isn’t William Weasley! The famous cursebreaker.”

Charlie’s expression dropped, and he returned to a quiet state, watching as Bill approached the two of you.

“And soon to be husband.” He grinned, and your heart dropped, “But I’m not nearly as famous as my brother here.”

You turned back to Charlie, playfully batting your lashes at him, “Is there something you’re not telling me, Weasley?”

He stayed silent, so Bill answered for him, “Little Charlie here put together a book about dragons.”

“A guide.” Charlie corrected, starting to mumble, “Not everyone knows how to properly handle dragons… It’s time they learn.”

“Now he’s gone and bought himself his own little flat and his very own car.” Bill added

Your eyes widened, “You bought yourself a car? I thought you preferred flying!”

“I do,” Charlie said, “I just… Miss the Ford Anglia sometimes—being so far away…”

“Perk up, Charlie, we’re only teasing,” Bill smiled, leaning in to give you a one arm hug, “I’ve got to finish welcoming everyone, but I’ll see you guys later, yeah?”

Charlie nodded, watching his brother walk away. It was silent for a moment until he cleared his throat, “I should finish getting ready, too.”

“You’re not already done?” You asked, “You look great—really.*

He shook his head, "It’s my hair. Can’t seem to tame it. It’s not this humid in Romania.”

“Do you need help?” You offered, but he didn’t take the hint.

“I can’t get anyone to help me in time for the ceremony. I’ll just have to do it myself.”

You chewed on your lip, “Charlie, I was offering to help.”

“Oh.” He sighed, nonchalantly, before his eyes widened, “Oh.”

“If you’re comfortable with it, I don’t mind. Godric knows I had to help Penny and Talbott fix their hair back at school. Gave me practice.”

“I don’t want to put that in you or anything…”

You shook your head, “I’m all ready to go. We’re just waiting on you. The ceremony doesn’t start for another hour anyway, so I might as well. Come on, for old times sake.”

With a sigh, he relented, “Alright, just make it look decent, alright?”

Smiling, you nodded, “I promise.”

The Moment I Knew | Part Two | Charlie Weasley x Reader

A/N: My love for Charlie Weasley is close to my love for Theseus. And I’ve got to say, this is so much fun to write. The chapters are short, but I’m guessing the story itself will last at least a few more “chapters”. Hope you guys enjoy—and be sure to check out my master list for all of my fics!

Warnings: One sided love (sorta), pining

Charlie awoke to the sound of an owl pecking on his window. He groaned, rolling into his stomach and pressing his face into his pillow. But the owl didn’t let up. It’s pecks became louder and more frequent until the Weasley had no choice but to get out of bed and throw his window open.

In the owl’s beak was a letter addressed to “Charlie”. No “Mr. Weasley” or “Charles Weasley”. Just “Charlie”. He tilted his head, examining the handwriting. It couldn’t be his mum, she always addressed it to “Charlie Weasley” and it couldn’t be from his brothers who never wrote at all.

He slid his finger between the wax seal and flap, tearing it open. Unfolding it, he scanned the letter.

Dearest Charlie,

I’m sure you’ve heard by now of your brother’s engagement. To be more specific, Bill’s engagement. I’ve just received my invite to the wedding and would rather not go alone. I was thinking we could go together. As friends, of course—if you’re able to sneak away from the sanctuary for a bit.

Wedding talk aside, I hope you’re doing well. I’ve written you a few times and haven’t gotten an answer. I assumed you were busy. I miss you, Charlie.

With love,

Y/n/n

Charlie’s eyes widened as he finished reading the letter. Had you just invited him to be his date to Bill’s wedding? His brother Bill? The same Bill you had been in love with since your second year? His heart ached at the sheer thought of you and Bill together. Because, if he was being honest, he had fallen for you in his fourth. And watching you fawn over Bill, who thought of you as a best friend or maybe even a sister, broke his heart in more ways than one.

But maybe this was his chance. It had been years since he had seen you. It had been too long. He longed to see you, how you’d changed. Since he’d seen you last, he had gained a dozen scars on his body. One on his collarbone, another on his jaw, with a half dozen on his arms and the rest on his chest and legs. He delt with dangerous dragons, you delt with dangerous wizards. It was a balance, in a way.

He wondered if you had changed. If you had kept your hair the same, if your eyes were still the same shade of e/c they had been when he had met you. Charlie wanted to know everything about your life. Even if it hurt.

So he took out a quill. sticking it in his mouth as he searched for ink and parchment. He quickly regretted his decision, removing his quill and spitting out bits of feather, scrunching out his nose.

After what felt like forever, he cleared a space off of his desk and began writing.

“My dear Y/n/n…”

The Moment I Knew | Part One | Charlie Weasley x Reader

A/N: Hey loves! Here’s a new mini series starring our favorite second born Weasley! I know I haven’t finished Confessions, Harry’s House, or the Regulus/Sirius series, but this’ll be a short one before I get back to those. Enjoy!

Pairing: Charlie Weasley x Jacob’s sibling! Reader (Hogwarts Mystery)

Summary: The oldest Weasley brothers have always been a big part of your life, so much so that you’re in love with Bill. But when you get the invitation that he’s getting married, you start to realize your true feelings—for Charlie

Warnings: Contains major spoilers for Hogwarts Mystery (don’t read if you haven’t made it to year 7/plan on playing)

For as long as you can remember, the Weasley’s had been a monumental part of your life. Without them, you probably wouldn’t have found your brother. And if you hadn’t found your brother, his disappearance would’ve only made the hole in your chest larger.

And for as long as you had known the Weasley’s, you’d been in love with the oldest son, Bill. It had happened fast. When Rowan had suggested getting his help with the cursed ice, you figured he’d be another set of hands. But he only added to that hole in your heart.

Whether he was fawning over Emily Tyler or off in Egypt, he was never with you. Not anymore, at least. You two had once been joined at the hip, but that all changed at the end of your fifth year. The year he said goodbye to Hogwarts and hello to curebreaking.

His departure had broken your heart, but he wasn’t the only Weasley you could rely on. No, there was another that was there for you through thick and through thin. While you hadn’t known him nearly as long as you had known Bill, Charlie Weasley was always there. And he was one of your best friends.

After Rowan’s death and Ben’s betrayal, he was one of the only shoulders you could lean on. When Penny left to work on being a potions master and Andre decided to become a Quidditch designer, you felt alone. Except you had Charlie.

Until he left for Romania to work at a dragon sanctuary. When he told you the news, he had been debating it. He felt bad being so far away from his family, but you urged him to go nonetheless—no matter how much it hurt to say goodbye.

You didn’t realize at the time, but watching him walk away on the train platform made you feel something new. In that moment, you didn’t want to admit defeat and accept that he was leaving. You didn’t want to plant your feet in the ground and force a smile on your face. No, you wanted to run after him. You wanted to go with him, not sure of what the future would hold. Watching him leave broke your heart even further. But nothing could’ve prepared you for an invitation to the wedding of William Weasley and Fleur Delacour.

Gripping the piece of parchment in your hand, you read it a thousand times before setting it down in front of you. You could have made up an excuse. Bring an auror, they would’ve understood. But you loved Bill, more than you should, and you wanted to be there for his big day. While you didn’t see him as much as you wished you could, he was still one of your best friends. You had to be there, even if it broke your heart.

There was only one problem: you didn’t have anyone to go with. As much as you’d rather have gone through it alone, experienced the pain of watching the man you loved get married to another woman, you knew you couldn’t just go in alone. It would be far too embarrassing if Molly Weasley tried to pair you up with a random guest.

So you sat down at your wooden desk, taking out a piece of parchment and a quill. Dipping the tip into ink, you set it to the paper, letting the ink flow over it, “Dear Charlie…”
