I work down in the financial district now by Wall St., so everyday, I have to get a little creative with my outfits to be appropriate for work, yet not boring and mundane. Yesterday, my inspiration was menswear and I pulled some of my favorite photos here.

Happy Friday to everyone, and especially since it’s the start of a four day weekend. This is another once in a blue moon post, and this time I’m on more of the preppy casual spectrum that I’m doing my best to incorporate into my everyday life.
Today was pretty simple, and I started with this multicolored OCBD, a pair of kahki pants, and penny loafers. I’m diving a bit into the Ivy territory, but it was something a little new for me. And I’m happy with the way it turned out. But since school is out, I don’t want this stop at that environment and I’m looking to acquire some more OCBD’s as well.
With that said, I hope you all have a great rest of your Friday, and an awesome plus a safe Memorial Day Weekend.

Happy Wednesday to everyone out there. I continue to say that I hope you got everything done that you needed to accomplish today.
Today I went another day with the business casual look sans tie (nothing was much matching the color palette). I went with a mixture of blue and gray to even out the week. A light blue patterned dress shirt, light gray chinos, dark gray suit jacket, and a pair of tassel loafers as well.
With that said, we move on to Thursday and the beginning of the second half of the week.

Just over a year ago, there would only be one option when it came to trousers for most men I know; the safest bet would be a pair of jeans – probably Levi’s – but now the time has come for a whole new leg-wear trend: the chinos.
Men’s chinos are most common in the beige, creamy tones, although they can now be found in a variety of different colours in most stores. The prices would range from roughly £20-£80 (although the occasional designer pair could cost a lot more).
A comeback for chinos was long overdue. In 2011 the mustard-coloured, skinny legged chino was Topman’s best-selling item- and even outsold their denim. Those men that were all up for committing to the chino image would make sure they had a pair of espadrilles to go with them; these were the best seller of 2011 at ASOS.
2011 was definitely the ‘year of the chinos’, which led to huge sales in skinny chinos and then for the summer- what else? Chino shorts, of course!
They’re quickly dominating men’s leg-wear, with most men now owning at least 1 pair in the UK. There’s lots of varieties with chinos; they could be long, short, skinny, baggy, elastic ankles, button or zip flies, a variety of colours etc. So although they may be common, there’s still a platform to be a bit different and self-expressive when wearing a pair of pair.
