frankly i’m obsessed with @abd-illustrates ‘s costume designs for his parts of the sanders sides calendar and his speedpaint was a huge part in me getting back into sanders sides sooooo. boys <3
Okay so I had this thought that Virgil is like the ‘mum’ of the dark Sides. In this AU I guess he doesn’t go to the light Sides because he wants to look after the others.
But I can just imagine him being like Molly Weasley. And then he goes off at any side who dares to bring mud into his house. And him just screeching up the stairs for a side to come down because ‘your dinner is getting cold!’
All the other dark sides have complained about him being overprotective and always hovering over their shoulders but they all secretly love it.
And The light Sides have no idea about it but one day Virgil’s mum senses start going off and he starts to slightly panic because he needs get back home but then some other side pops up like, ‘I kinda started a fire.’
And Virgil’s just like, ‘WHAT! How many times have I told you to stay away from the kitchen when I am not there!’
Or Patton or Thomas gets hurt and he just goes into super mum mode.
The other sides all live in an apartment/hotel type building that has a pool, spa, sauna and other stuff. Virgil still has his key after he left and sneaks in at night.
There is a restaurant and shops in the other sides area that is run by -not real Sides- they are kind of like robots.
Deceit is like the dad of Remus and Virgil.
Remus is a few years older then Virgil (who is the youngest side of Thomas) and took on the role of ‘big brother’ to him. When Virgil left and got closer to Roman, Remus felt threatened that Roman would replace him.
Deceit had to give many lectures to Remus about the rules of the pool.
Virgil was really clumsy as a child and was constantly getting hurt. Deceit looked after him while Remus either laughed or freaked out, depending on the situation.
Virgil has light purple marks (kind of like freckles) that go across his cheek and nose, and 4 larger marks under his eyes that glow when he is content or really anxious.
Remus always thinks that his jokes or comments make Virgil feel comfortable becuase his marks glow but in reality he is scaring him.
Virgil also has small retractable fangs. When he was younger he couldn’t retract them and so Deceit filed them becuase he kept cutting his lip.
The reason why Virgil left was becuase another side threatened him really badly and Deceit and Remus freaked out about it. Remus nearly killed the side leading Virgil to see just how ‘dangerous’ Remus can be to those scared of him.
I’m not exactly sure what Deceit would have done but the threat would have lead him to lie about something that then endangered Virgil. Virgil thought he did it on purpose and lost all trust he had for the snake side. That was a factor that made him duck out.
Ok, that’s all I got for now. I’ll probably add some later. :D
So this came to me when I was playing with my cat but imagine the dark sides showing affection via things like biting. Not biting biting but like, soft biting that cats and stuff do that isn’t meant to cause harm.
And then Virgil does that to the main sides and Thomas and they are so confused! I just think that would be great!!
Remus and Deciet were the one who made Virgil leave but not becuase they didn’t like him, but becuase they wanted to protect him. What if they knew Virgil would be happier with the other sides.
So Remus scared him and Deciet fought with him, both pushing him away. They could see he was getting closer to the other sides and continued, but instead they caused him so mush distress that he ducked out. They were going to save him but then the light Sides came to help and they let it happen. All becuase they knew Virgil would be happier.
Then when they came back Virgil reacted to them, anger at Dee and fear of Re. They played along becuase Virgil was better with the light Sides.
Now less ‘theory’ and more headcanon, they didn’t know that Virgil still wanted them back but he was to scared and distraught at what they did to try and have an honest conversation.
