You sighed, shaking your head. “Novalie, you are ok.” You spoke to the wailing baby in your arms.

“You just ate pumpkin, what do you need?” You patted the four month old’s back, who continued to cry into your ear.

“Bad timin’?” You heard a familiar voice. “No, perfect timing.” You responded, sarcastically.

“Let me see her.” Fezco walked over. “Gladly.” You responded, placing Novalie in his arms.

“You coulda called and told me she was fussin’. I woulda come over.” Fez said, patting her back, holding her close to his chest. “You’d be over everyday then.” You laughed a little.

You and Fezco dated for a year, before he broke up with you after Rue did fentanyl. Three weeks later, you found out you were pregnant. Little Miss. Novalie Jude O'Neill.

“Novalie Jude, you’re just fine, stop being dramatic.” Fez hushed Novalie, who quickly quieted down.

“You got the magic touch.” You sighed, slightly irritated at how quickly he got the baby to calm down within minutes when you were struggling for hours.

“Shit, she just wanted her daddy.” Fez shook his head. “What about you?” He asked, looking at you as Novalie began to fall asleep.

“What about me?” You asked, touching Novalie’s hair. “You want her daddy?” Fez asked, the lop-sided smile you fell in love with moving across his lips.

“What’re you getting at Fezco?” You crossed your arms. “Shit, never mind.” He shook his head, walking through the house to your room.

“Don’t do that…”

“Do what?”

“Never mind-ing me. You know that’ll piss me off quicker than any other thing you’ll do.” You listened as he opened the door and placed Novalie in her bed.

“Shh.” He looked at you. “You’ll wake up lil ma. Ain’t your own rule; you wake, you take?” He walked back out to you to the living room.

“Fezco O'Neill I am working on three hours of sleep if you don’t make your point within the next minute I’m punching you.”

Fezco snorted a little, before cupping your face in his hands.

“Fez?” You looked up at him.

“I miss you.” He said, his forehead resting on yours. “And I regret lettin’ you go, I miss you every minute of everyday.” He spoke softly, closing his eyes.

“I missed you so much, ma. You have no clue.” His hands moved to your hips.

“I missed you…” Your hands moved up his chest to your shoulders.

“Lemme have you again. I won’t ever let you go.” He was practically whispering. “I love you.” He lifted his head, making eye contact with you.

“You have me. I love you.”

“Thank god.” He hugged you tight, pressing his lips onto yours. You laughed, kissing back.

And once again, life made sense.

“Remind me why I agreed to this again?” Elliot asked, rubbing the lotion into your back.

“Because you love me.” You responded.

“Uh-huh.” Elliot rolled his eyes. “So, me loving you means it’s required of me to rub lotion on your back every time you shower?” He asked, kissing your shoulder.

You nodded, throwing on his shirt and a pair of ripped jeans.

“That’s your outfit today?” He asked, putting his boxers on.

You raised an eyebrow at him in the mirror as you pulled your hair into a messy brow. “Why?” You asked, turning around to face him. “You don’t like it?” You pressed.

“No! God, no. I like it. I like it a little too much.” He gave a soft laugh, pulling his jeans on and fixing himself. “I’m not gonna be able to do much schooling thinking about the fact my girl’s wearing my shirt.” He said while zipping and buttoning his pants.

“You wanna wear one of my hair ties on your wrist to make it even?” You teased him, looking at your container of hair ties. “Can I pick?” He asked, seriously.

“Sure.” You laughed a little.

“Baller.” He whispered, grabbing a neon green hair tie, and wore it on his wrist. “That one?”

“Kinda gives me an acid-y feel.” He gave a half laugh, and put on a bleach splattered black shirt.

“Of course. Remind me why I agreed to this again?” You asked, using your index finger to wag between yourself and Elliot.

“Because you love me.” Elliot smiled, kissing the top of your head.

Request: Can I request some Pepa + Fèlix X reader fluff of your choice? I absolutely love your writing and there isn’t enough content of them honestly… Thank you! - Anon

A/N: hope you enjoy anon!

Sitting between Pepa and Fèlix, Pepa’s hands ran through your hair. Your hands were held by Fèlix’s, comforting patterns rubbed by his thumbs.

It’s something those two always have done. Pepa has her fixation on her hair, Fèlix loved your hands.

The Madrigal’s definitely knew you well enough to know when an up-and-coming anxiety attack was coming on. And their comfort couldn’t have come at a better time.

Your day couldn’t have been any more shitty. Your clothes ruined by a donkey kicking dirt. Your art was soiled by that coffee kid, which was an accident, but nonetheless. You spent days on that art piece. Your hair wasn’t cooperating… so many things just tumbled into an anxiety attack.

“Shhh mi rosa. Pepi and I are here.” Fèlix’s calming voice lulled you. “It’s going to be okay. It’s a bad day, just one. You’ve gone through plenty, you can get through one more.” Pepa hummed.

Sniffing, you nodded your head a little. “Yea…”

“Julieta just finished cooking.” Pepa cooed in your ear, arms wrapping around your midsection. “I’m sure we can sneak some and go for a picnic.” Fèlix’s hands rested on your knees.

“Hot chocolate included?” You asked, a smile spreading on your face.

“Of course.” Pepa kissed the left side of your cheek, while Fèlix kissed the right side. A laugh erupted from you, which in turn made your partners laugh as well.

Brain than Brawn

Pairing: Isabela Madrigal x Reader

Request: Prompt 218: “If I ever see you anywhere near her, you’ll have to deal with me!”

The sun beat down on Encanto. Children screamed with delight as they swam in the river. You watched on a rock as Isabela grew water lilies to entertain the young ones. She adorned a beautiful purple bathing suit and she was hip deep in the water.

“(Y/N)! You comin’ in?” Luisa asked, a child giggling as she hung onto the Madrigal’s bicep.

“No thank you! I’m good here Luisa!” You responded, waving her off.

“Look at her.” You heard two of the town boys. Their bodies lean against trees. You look over to them and follow their gaze.

Isabela.

Well, that one is to be expected.

There’s a reason her nickname is Senorita Perfecta.

“What I’d do to her given the chance…” one chuckled.

“What makes you assume Isabela’s ever gonna give you a chance?” You scoffed at him.

“Seeing as I’m exactly her type, everything.” He quipped back, flexing one of his biceps.

“How do you know you’re her type?” You felt as if now you were interrogating him.

“I look just like Mariano, body wise. My face’s a little better.” He touched his chin, eliciting a laugh from his friend.

“It’s hard to say. I think Isabela deserves someone with a little more brain than brawn.” You scoffed.

His lip twitched into a frown as he grabbed you by your collar, pulling you off your rock. “Listen here you little-.”

“If I ever see you anywhere near them, you’ll have to deal with me!” You heard Isa’s stern voice, pulling the man into the tree with a vine.

“Yes Isabela! I’m sorry!” He shouted, as she put him down.

You looked over to Isabela and mouthed thank you.

“(Y/N), take a walk with me?” She asked, getting out of the water. “Oh?” You nodded and followed her

———

“Thanks for the help, Isa. I appreciate that and you.” You added in the last part, a little quieter than the rest of the sentence.

“Of course. I enjoy you, I can’t have your cute face destroyed.” She nudged you. “I like you.” She said outright.

“Oh! I thought your type was… big and brawny?” You said, a little embarrassed. “My type is you. I was waiting for you to pick up the hints hon.”

Your face flushed deeply as you stopped walking.

“Tonight at 7?” She asked, you noticed that you were at your front door.

“Yea…!” You nodded, fumbling to open the door. “It’s a date!” You shout, opening the door finally.

She laughed softly. “It’s a date.” She walked off, yellow roses lining the road as she did.

———

The music played through the phone’s speakers. You stood in front of a full-length mirror that belonged to your sister’s friend, Maddy Perez. You bought it a few years back and hung it up behind your bedroom door.

Your apartment wasn’t anything special, two bedrooms, one and a half bath, kitchen. You had what you needed, and more importantly, what Flynn needed.

Being a single mom to a bouncing boy by 17 wasn’t in your bingo slip for your life. And like every stereotype, Flynn Sylas’ dad wasn’t around for him. Neither was the family of your son’s father. You, however, wasn’t as lucky.

After being hid away for ten long months, your best friend Kat made the executive decision for you to go to a party.

“But who’ll watch Flynn?” You asked, turning around. “My mom.” Kat answered, putting her hair into twin pigtails. “KK.” You looked at her, crossing your arms.

“(Nick Name), you look hot. And no offense, your social skills are practically dead by now.” She rolled her eyes at your ‘mom stance’.

“I don’t like passing my baby off.” You narrowed your eyebrows. “You’re not passing him off.” Kat shook her head. “You’re looking at it all wrong. You’re gonna be 18 in two days! And for the whole year you were either pregnant, or being mommy. Be a teen for just a couple hours.” Kat put her hands on your waist.

“Make some bad decisions. I promise, Nate won’t be there. You gotta remember that you were someone before mommy.” Kat pouted. “You don’t need to say his name with so much hatred.” You laughed a little, shaking your head.

“I don’t? He left you with a baby at 16 and pretty much just pays you to be quiet.” Kat tucked some stray hair behind your ear before fixing your lash. “More so Cal’s decision, but it is what it is. Flynn is taken care of.” You quickly added in a bad habit you picked up, justifying abusive actions.

“Come onnnn… live a little. Elliot’s gonna be there.”

“The junkie Elliot Jules fucked while with Rue?” You asked. “Sounds like a totally uncomplicated decision I totally need in my life.” You added, grabbing Kat’s hand. “KK. I love you, so much.” You kissed her knuckles. “But Flynn shouldn’t have someone temporary.”

“He’s sober now, and he’s looking for a girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend, not step-son.” You interjected.

“Just meet him, I promise.”

“Jules ain’t fucking him anymore?” You narrowed your eyebrows as you pulled back from her touch. “I promise!” She laughed.

You sighed, and nodded. “Okay. Okay! I’ll say hi.”

Your head jerked to the fussing in the room next to yours. “Flynn’s up.” You said, walking to his room.

Kat Followed behind you. “Aunt KK wants baby time.”

While she wasn’t a baby person overall, she certainly loves your son.

“Hi sweetpea.” You cooed as you picked up the red faced fussy baby. “Huh, mark your calendars. He woke up dry.” You kissed his cheek as Kat plucked him from your arms.

“When’s the party?” You asked. “An hour or so.” Kat responded, walking over to Flynn’s car seat. “Let’s go now, because I know you’ll spend the next thirty minutes talking everything over with my mom.”

“Ha. When you’re right, you’re right.” You shrugged, watching Kat strap your child in.

The music poured through the speakers as Kat pulled you through the crowd. “Take a shot!” She told you, handing you a plastic solo cup. “Fuck it.” You said, grabbing it and leaning your head back to throw the liquor down.

You made a noise as you attempted to not gag. After not drinking for almost two years, your tolerance for the taste was gone.

“Gotta train that taster.” Kat teased. “Shut up.” You laughed, pushing her a little. Your eyes moved down as you looked for Fezco.

The ginger sat on the couch, leaning back to watch his smoke drift into the air. “I got to say hey.” You said, pushing through the crowd.

“The king let you out for the night?” The dealer asked, drole on his words. “Aha, yea. King Flynn.” You responded, crossing your arms. “You alright, ma?” Fez asked, his blue eyes meeting yours.

“Yea.” You nodded. “It’s a little awkward. I’m anxious I’ll run into him.” You shrugged, standing next to him.

Your friendship with Fezco O'Neill started between two entrepreneurial grandmothers. While you weren’t as involved as Fez, you definitely knew Fez since you two were itty bitty.

“As long as I’ve known you, he should be scared of runnin’ into you.” Fezco laughed, putting the blunt out before placing it on his ear.

“You’re sweet Fez.” You pushed him, before smiling. “I’m gonna go roam.” You said before walking outside.

You hummed to the music as you watched the sea of people.

You leaned against the house’s wall.

“What’s a pretty place doing with a girl like you?” A voice cut through your thoughts. “Huh?” You asked, narrowing your eyebrows at the confusion he caused.

“I said that wrong.” He cleared his throat before sticking his hand out. “Elliot.” He said.

“(Name).” You shook his hand a little.

“Kat told me about you.” Elliot informed, his hand falling to his side. “How much did she tell you?” You asked, narrowing your eyebrows a little.

“Not too much. Single, nice butt, pretty, nice.” He answered. “She left out mom.” You added. “Mom?” He asked, narrowing his eyebrows. “Mom.” You repeated before adding “I have a son.”

“Oh.” He nodded. “That’s cool. Never dated a milf before.” He smiled at you. You scoffed, fighting back a smile. “Milf, that’s the first time I’ve gotten that.” You looked at him.

“I’m completely blowin’ it, aren’t I?” He asked, laughing a little. You shook your head. “Nah, not many 17 year old milfs in the area. At least, not since I last checked.” You smiled, nudging him gently.

“Well, at least I’m not blowin’ it… Kat told me you’re a planner. You like weighing your decisions.” Elliot leaned against the wall next to you. “Yea. Planners can be a name for it.” You half joked.

“How’re you feelin’ about this decision?” He asked.

“This decision?” You responded, eyebrows narrowing at the boy with face tattoos.

“Yea. Meetin’ me.” He explained, making a vague gesture to himself with one hand.

“For what I can say now, meeting you is a complicated decision.” You started. “There’s a lot of baggage attached to me.” You looked at him.

“Everyone has baggage.” Elliot said, a little laugh escaping him.

“Baby daddy baggage for one.” You looked over your shoulder. “I went through a lot, and you’re gonna have to prove that you’re serious and actually want a long-term thing before I even juggle the idea of bringing you around Flynn.” You looked back at him.

“Shit. Kat warned me you’re a straight shooter. I like seeing that she’s tellin’ the truth.” He paused.

“My baby daddy isn’t a good person. He did things, I don’t want to go through some more bullshit. I’m giving you your first out now.” You grabbed Elliot’s chin between your thumb and index finger. “I don’t want either of us getting hurt, and I sure don’t want my son getting attached to someone who’ll leave.”

“I’m not takin’ any outs. I don’t do that shit anymore.” Elliot’s hand grabbed yours that held his chin and moved out from your, honestly limp, grip. “There’s somethin’ about you that’s different. You’re nothing like the girls here, (Name), any dude’d that leave you is a fuckin’ idiot. Let yourself be happy.” Elliot tucked a hair from your ear.

“If you wanna take the out, just know I won’t give up still.” He said. “You were someone before you were a mommy, I want to be able to help you find that person again. But obviously I know your son comes first, which I’m totally chill with waiting until you’re ready.”

You shook your head a little. “You’re sweet Elliot.” You smiled. “Get my number from Kat.” You winked. “I’m gonna get something to drink. I hope to see you before the party’s over.” You kissed his cheek, leaving a ( color ) lipstick stain.

You turned around, and walked inside. Dodging through the swarm of people, you attempt to push down the smile.

Your body collides into the back of someone taller than you. “Fuck, I’m sorry.” You said, moving to the side.

“Hey, (Nick Name), if you’re here, who’s watching Flynn Sylas? I’d hope someone trusted.”

Nathaniel Fucking Jacobs.

Rue’s arms crossed over each other as her eyes drifted through the crowd. “Whatcha you lookin’ for Rue?” Fezco asked, blunt between his fingers as his eyes were on his ‘sister’. Taking a long drag, he passed the drug to Rue.

“(Name), she’s friends with Kat.” Rue responded, taking a drag. Fezco narrowed his eyebrows as he exhaled. “Why?” He asked, taking the blunt as Rue handed it off.

“She’s pretty. I like how she likes to wear rose gold jewelry to parties.” Rue shrugged, exhaling the smoke.

“Solid.” He nodded. “You ever talk to her?” He followed up, taking a hit of the slow burning grape rillo. “Shit no.” Rue scoffed.

“Well, prepare she’s coming over.” Fezco looked at Rue, putting out the blunt as he exhaled. Rue’s eyes darted before taking a deep breath. “Yea.” She sniffed, wiping her nose.

“Hi Fez.” (Name) said, smiling at her friend. “Hey.” He nodded, half smiling. “Are you being trouble?” She asked Fez, crossing her arms.

“Shit girl, you know well enough.” He rolled his eyes.

“Hold on, you two know each other?” Rue asked, looking at them. “Yea, neighbors before he moved with his grandma. Who might I add, is a fuckin’ G.” (Name) laughed a little.

“Y’all stayed friends since?” Rue asked, pulling her sleeves down her arms. “Yea. Best friends. Saved my life more than once. Not too long ago he saved me and my girl from homelessness.” (Name) said, putting her hands in her pockets.

“Y-your girl?” Rue asked, eyebrows furrowing. “Yea, Lorelei Noelle. My baby.” (Name) said. “Oh. Who’s the dad?” Rue asked before her own eyes widening at her impromptu-ness.

“Aha, I’d love to say, but unfortunately, he promised to ruin my life if I ever said anything.” (Name) half-joked, winking at the end of the sentence, hoping Rue picked up on her social cue.

Rue made a small face, nodding. A small indication that she understood and wouldn’t press further.

“You, uh, wanna dance?” Rue asked, pointing over her shoulder. “Yea.” (Name) smiled, grabbing Rue’s hand to help the intoxicated female up.

The two walked back inside. “You’re cute.” (Name) said in Rue’s ears, her hands on Rue’s shoulders as she swayed along to the music. “Cute?” Rue asked. “Nah, but ‘preciate it.” Rue laughed a little.

“Why though?” Rue’s face turned up as she questioned the female. “Because you’re not subtle when you stare at folks.” (Name) teased, grabbing Rue’s hands and placing her hands on (Name) lower back.

“You noticed, huh?” Rue sighed, internally swearing. “Who said I didn’t want you to notice and was just waitin’ for you to say somethin’?” Rue asked, narrowing her eyes. Not a total lie, but then again, not a total truth.

“Well, I hope you feel as if I granted a wish by comin’ over to tease my ex-neighbor.” (Name) winked. “Shit, definitely.” Rue nodded.

“S-so what’s it like? Bein’ a mom and shit.” Rue asked, trying to make conversation.

“Best decision I made. My tiny best friend. She’s just like me, and thankfully, looks nothing like her daddy.” (Name) laughed.

“Bet it’s easy to stay clean for a baby.” Rue said, holding the girl closer to her body. “Whole reason I got clean was for Lori, the easiest decision I ever made.” (Name) said.

“Awesome.” Rue nodded, acknowledging the past.

“So, how long were you planning on staring at me?” (Name) asked, tucking a stray piece of Rue’s hair behind her ear. “Forever, probably.” Rue answered, laughing a little.

“You wanna get out of here?” Rue asked. “Oh yea.” (Name) laughed, pulling back from Rue to lead the brunette to the door.

****

(Name) laughed sitting next to Rue the couch. “No! You didn’t!” She covered her mouth. “I did. Definitely the worst moment I’ve done. What about you?” Rue asked, crossing her arms as she leaned back into the couch. “Punched my baby’s grandmother in the chin at the end of a detox. It was the day before I officially found out about Lorelei.” (Name) said. “Why do you say ‘officially’?”

“Well, I had suspicions initially. Baby Daddy started acting like I didn’t exist, I went to his house.” (Name) started, leaning back against the couch. “His mom answered the door, which I half expected. Said some choice words, so I said choice words. She called me a slut and a distraction, I punched her in the chin.” (Name) shrugged. “I regret it now, but it was one of those things I wanted to do sober.”

Rue laughed a little. “Yea. That’s pretty bad.”

“Yea. But I have my mini-me, so it’s not not all bad. You grow, you become an adult. You grow up with your kid, it’s pretty cool. She’ll be 1 next month.” (Name) looked at Rue. “This is pretty refreshing though.”

“How so?” Rue asked, looking over at (Name). “Not being judged. Normally other girl’s I’ve been with hear about drugs and babies in the same sentence it sets off a wall thing. At least, has in the past.”

‘Fuck yes, girl’s. Which means multiple.’ Rue’s brain practically screamed. “No reason for me to judge you. I’ll be clean for a year in a month.” Rue smiled a little. “That’s something to be proud of.” (Name) smiled. “Remind me to help you celebrate your one year.”

“Can we celebrate 11 months?” Rue questioned, fingers moving up (Name)‘s knee to her inner thigh.

(Name) bit her lip as she moved her leg for Rue to obtain better access.

“I’d like to.” (Name) answered.

“Awesome.”
