Americans always push things to the extreme. I don’t know many girls who are slim but flabby (ie how most French girls are). Everybody’s either fat or tone. No in between. Same goes for food portion sizes. They’re either huge or tiny. Other example: alcohol. I don’t know any young people here who drink casually. They either don’t drink, or binge drink. Also, whenever there’s a debate, everybody’s really into it and has a strong opinion, one way or the other. In France, we often have a really big slice of society who just doesn’t give a flying fuck and I feel like that happens less here. Or take Miley for example. In order to lose her goodie goodie image she literally had to become a punk/weirdo who likes to sit around naked on wrecking balls. Isn’t that a little extreme?
