Did you know the rowan tree is also called Thor’s deliverance? The reason for this is explained in Prose Edda, during one of Thor’s confrontations with the jötun Geirröðr and his daughters: When crossing the great river Vimur, the stream rising above his shoulders, Thor gets hold of a rowan branch and pulls himself to land.
Additional fun fact: Why was the river suddenly rising, you might ask? Well, Thor spots the giantess Gjálp standing further upriver, one foot straddling on each side of the flowing stream… Ah, the wonderfully bizarre crudeness of Norse mythology!

Today’s high is 66 degrees— fall has finally arrived in the desert and I could not be happier!!!
If you know me, you know I used to LOVE burning candles. I was so obsessed with Bath & Body Works candles and would hoard them in my cabinets. I wanted my house to smell clean and cozy all the time, especially during the colder months. However, once learning how harmful candles can be to my family and I, we completely ditched candles and switched to diffusing oils. Candles are filled with synthetics, carcinogens, hormone disrupters, and so many other toxins that aren’t good for our lungs and our health. I thought I would miss candles so much, but being able to diffuse, I don’t miss them one bit! My family and I can get the benefits of oils while making our home smell amazing!
We’ve been diffusing this blend like crazy— straight up smells like the pumpkin patch! ✨

Today is my Birthday!

If you had asked me a year ago what I thought I’d be doing today I would’ve told you I would probably be chilling on a fabulous tropical island somewhere trying to recover from having a kick ass Halloween Birthday party the weekend before. But alas 2020 has thrown us a major curveball and taught me some valuable lessons.
This year I’m very grateful I was able to see another birthday and spend it with my amazing family.

Today we made our 500th sale! I started this business in 2016 to help heal from the trauma of loosing my mother.
