Since I got more inspired by my previous space and witch-themed frog plush, here’s .⋆｡✧*ﾟ+☆ Stellar ☆+*ﾟ✧｡⋆. They’re a horoscope and constellation-themed frog. I hand-embroidered the the stars on their body based off of real constellations.
On the long, third-last photo there are the following constellations: Cancer (my sun sign), Libra (Stellar’s and Orbit’s sun sign), Triangulum (I know it’s just a triangle, but that’s how it really is) and Aries (turned sideways in the photo).
I used the same fabrics as my previous frog, Orbit, because I want them to look like they’re more related to each other. Though the eyes I picked for Stellar are different, they’re made of dark, greyish metal buttons. I also made Stellar a bit smaller, less rounded and their overall body shape is a bit different, like how their snout is less pointed.

It’s Werewolf Wednesday!
I’ve been planning this build for years, and I finally buckled down and did it.
This has been my dream build for a while, so I’m keeping this one, but I’m bulging another for my Booth at the Midwest Haunters Convention. The jaw moves and the eyes are LEDs. Head and hands are all patterned and carved from EVA foam.

Remember that flannel I was so excited about ice-dying? Just finished turning it into a cozy #yukata for my sister, a much-belated housewarming present. The most time consuming part was the #sashiko stitching on the collar and pockets. Bit of a bigger project than I expected, but so very happy with the results.

Baby clothes: What a perfectly cute way to make use of small pieces of leftover fabric!
This is the second addition to my little boy’s Viking wardrobe. While the red tunic posted about a couple of months ago was made using the fabric left over from one of my apron dresses, this blue one is made of fabric from one of his father’s tunics.

According to the Old Icelandic calendar have just left behind the month of Þorri, and today we enter the month of Góa. Being among the last winter months, it might have been a difficult time with food supplies running low, but also a time filled with hope for an early and mild spring. This is illustrated by Icelandic proverbs such as "að þreyja þorrann og góuna” (to endure Þorri and Góa, that is, to overcome difficult times). Several aspects of the stories and traditions related to Góa are associated with hopes of fertility and growth.
Icelandic folktales describe how this month is the month of women, and that it should be greeted by the housewife on the farm. On this first day of Góa she should rise early and step outside before getting dressed, walk thrice around the farm, and speak the words from the top of this post. Let me translate them to English:
“Welcome, my dear Góa,
and come on inside;
don’t stay out in the wind,
on this long day of spring.”
