My first ever Gaster Bros. comic, re-inked and in color *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
This page went through a lot of love and effort to remaster, much more than any of the others. If you remember the original, you probably know what I’m talking about ^^; That’s why, even though I’m planning to keep all the remaining in-color/remastered versions exclusive to the collection, I wanted to at least share this one.
I hope you’re as excited as I was to see these comics in full glory!

This is the summer of surveys! This one is from Emily Faulkner, an MSc student at Robert Gordon University. Emily is studying information-seeking behaviours of fanfiction communities and their applicability to libraries for their grad dissertation! The survey is open to adults who read and/or write fanfiction content (fan comics and podfics included) and details are below.
Thrass is in his office at 4:53 in the afternoon, finishing up some last emails and he looks up and Thrawn is standing right outside his office, face smooshed up against the glass door, making growzer pup eyes and holding a board game box.
I’ve been wanting to do an MTG fan comic for a while now, one where Arlinn Kord faces down Garruk. This is a test page I did trying to work on my work flow from digital pencils to traditional inks. I’m not super happy with it, I kind of rushed and a lot of it is pretty messy. That being said I learned a lot, probably most significantly that I need to nail my pencils down more before moving to inks, even though that’s kind of the part that I enjoy the most.
You thought I wasn’t gunna link my MC from the Souls game to Elden Ring? you probably thought right because it’s my dumb guilty pleasure. I don’t care anymore.
How I missed creating content here. I’ve always been busy since the last time and I still am, I can only focus on one thing which, at this time, is work. I’m slowly coming back to making stories again.
So uhm, under here is a little something about how I am as a story teller. If interested, I guess? ^^;

For that comics to make sense( I guess hehe )
All of my story, may it be original or a fanart/comics of something… I always relate it to the actual time; like that with Rigel. I’ve been gone for months, the story still goes on in my head but due to my long absence, something would happen to my character(s). Unless I ended the story, then their life will go on and nothing will happen. If I have a collab with someone and their character met mine… even if they leave and I have no communication anymore whatsoever, their character may be gone but the memory of that character stays in my own character’s mind unless I erase it( if it makes sense to the story.).
Another example is If the only way for my character to be free is to remember their name but I forgot and can’t find it… I won’t think of another one, then it’ll be my fault they’ll forever be stuck.
I always think that if I changed a little something( especially when I collab and they added so much to my story and develop my character’s personality, etc. But they’re gone, I won’t change the story back or remove what have been added. ) about my character or their story then that’ll be a different character/different story.
But I can’t let go of the Arcana yet or ever. I still have so much to share with Rigel’s story, but I don’t know if the people I know or knows me is still here so I’d just post his story for me.. to have something to look back to.

So, I havent posted this online or really shown it to anybody yet aside from a few people because for a while I wasn’t sure if it was going to make it onto the Hey, Jana J! website. Considering im starting up my new blog though, I thought this would be one of the better pieces to open it up with!

I would love to make more, and right now I’m running a fundraiser for the third book of the original webcomic I make: The Property of Hate! Has a cute kid called Hero and a weird guy with a TV for a head? You might have seen them around maybe.
In which I switch to inking with real brushes (and let’s just say there was a learning curve involved) and also Rey’s long-awaited reunion with Ben quickly starts to go sideways.
I changed Ben’s seat from a chair to a crate—it wasn’t a good look for Ben to hog the only chair in the room. It also fits the humble state of the Rey’s room better. I fleshed that out a bit too here, hoping to give the impression of some utility room in the Tantive that the Resistance just shoved a bed into and called a bedroom.
Once the whole comic is done, I plan to go back through it and fix all these inconsistencies before collecting it on Gumroad or something.
As for why Rey isn’t quartering in the captain’s quarters of the Falcon—it’s a combination of what I think she would pick and what I think best suits the mood I’m trying to set.

Sorry for the double post! I was having technical problems with the last one. I still can’t get it to display multiple images in hi-res in the dashboard feed, but I discovered that by making it a photo post instead of a text post, I can at least make the images click-through-able to a high-res photoset.
