Un millón de palabras no te traerán de vuelta, lo sé, porque lo intenté. Tampoco un millón de lágrimas, lo sé, porque las lloré.

painting their nails — p2

p1 here.

beidou, childe, scaramouche, ganyu, + keqing. 900 ish words, fluff. gn reader + no tw. mlisttaglist.

notes: here is your gift, @rqkuya ! pls feel better soon <3 also threw in childe + beidou bc. yeah <3

BEIDOU rests her chin in her palm, one elbow on the table, her other arm outstretched. occasionally her gaze flicks down to where you’re painting her nails a warm burgundy, but doing so strains her eyes, because she’s facing you, and for the most part her gaze is trained on you, on your expression.

there’s little point to painting her nails. it’s not something she particularly enjoys, and in her line of work it’s a matter of days before the paint is chipping and ugly.

HITHA – Forever

HITHA offers an emotionally charged piece of pop on the late-night vibes of “Forever”. Production here has a stunning sweetness to it. The sound feels crisp and alive. Stylistically it brings together the aforementioned pop with elements of EDM, dubstep, and classic balladry. By far though it is her voice that truly sells the entire experience. Much of it wraps itself around the listener giving it a truly enlightened presence to the mood. Keeping in touch with the minimal take of the work the many layers help to further support her spirit as there is a tenderness to it. Right in the center of it is an ode to fathers everywhere, right in time for Father’s Day. Exploration of that bond between father and daughter feels vivid, real, and sung from the heart.

The tasteful take on dubstep brings to mind some of James Blake’s classically inclined style. Much like his work, she makes sure that her voice remains the absolute core of the entire piece. A sense of beauty ripples through the whole thing as every gesture gets magnified within the relatively focused quality of the piece. Going a little further afield, nods to some darker pop icons like Sky Ferreira feature prominently. Sky’s slyness definitely figures notably within the work as the evolution happens in a truly understated fashion.

Echoing voices bounce along for the very moment. The piano chords have an old-school house quality to them. Beats never overtake the procession but rather add to the sense of physicality that the song possesses in spades. Small traces of electro rest on the very edges of the overall piece. Nicely pitched-down handclaps further give the song that sense of majesty to it. A lot of it makes sure to carefully highlight every detail that is woven within the vast tapestry of sound. Various little traces are further explored as the song continues on in full with a completely full-bodied work. Relatively subtle yet highly graceful, that bass that weaves its way through further enhances the sheer thoughtfulness of the work. Possessing an intimacy, she makes sure that with each reiteration of the groove the listener is drawn further into her soothing presence.

Sung with such soul, HITHA proves to be a powerful force on “Forever” as the song has its own unique, diamond in the rough aspect about it.
