Hello, it’s still technically Mermay, have a short, goofy fish AU comic series about these two dinguses! Saeren is a cheerful, flashy little betta fish merperson, and Siyrai is a monstrous deep sea combo of lionfish and anglerfish who does not know how to handle affection, but is still extremely gay.

(They/them pronouns for both of these fish, please)

Been playing a bunch of Monster Hunter Rise lately.

Have a moisturized, squeaky-clean Mizutsune with a spiribird rubber duck (that may or may not be part of a set later, we’ll see)

More Elfuary, this time for “Ardor!” Complete with a quick process video since I remembered to hit the record button for this one.

The Magister is a very fabulous and flashy individual.

Here’s the second “Familiar” for Elfuary, featuring Saeren and their trusty potassium Phoenix, Seer! Phoenixes in this universe aren’t always birds, but the ones that are tend to be different types of flaming fancy pigeons.

Had to speedpaint my favorite antimatter tubesock in honor of the Sinnoh remakes!! Roughly 2 hours for this good noodle.

Haha, I’ll make the building extra fancy and gilded. I like painting metal, this won’t be so bad.

At least I’m real happy with the end result, but I am painting something nice and relaxing next, as a treat.

Elfuary week #2 is Celestial! I’m very happy with this one too, so have some detail shots including a couple of happy little trees that I really like.

Haruin’s out here just wondering what the hell this guy is even doing and why is he on her lawn.

And the second “incandescent” prompt from Messa this time! Haruin is a god of sunsets who’s large, in charge, and has a questionable moral compass.

The first prompt is “incandescent” so here’s my piece featuring one of our characters, Kariles, a very warm and inviting sun deity who’s just enjoying some light reading in her garden.

She collects, and greatly enjoys romance novels; the trashier the better.

Closeups included because I’m just fond of how all these big hibiscus flowers turned out!

Bring out your elves! It’s almost that time of year again!

From January through February, we run and participate in a laid back drawing challenge called “Elfuary,” which features a series of prompts and a very loose theme.

Namely elves.

What counts as an elf? Good question, that’s up to you! Fae of all mythological kinds and otherwise are fair game, really “humanoid supernatural beings” is the theme here and yes, that is as flexible as it sounds. So if you’re wondering if (insert character here counts) the answer is honestly? Go for it!

Prompts are a week long because January and February are enough without adding daily stress to the mix. The idea is just to add a fun schedule to some dark months, and also make things involving elves while we’re at it! Writing, art, music, cosplay, anything else you can think of is all welcome and encouraged!

Tag the art with elfuary and elfuary2020 so that we can see it, and help share your hard work! I will even actually use the reblog button and everything since I genuinely keep forgetting that is a feature on this website.

And since ya’ll asked about speedpaint recordings, here’s a water study I painted in Procreate! I think I’m slowly getting the hang of that program finally, but I’m still a much bigger fan of how brushes work in Clip. It’s extremely satisfying to watch things play back, though.
