Cheating a bit, as I wanted to design a concept of a were-Anglerfish. The lady fish woman is, of course big and mighty… while the dudes act more like powerups than anything.

Hello, it’s still technically Mermay, have a short, goofy fish AU comic series about these two dinguses! Saeren is a cheerful, flashy little betta fish merperson, and Siyrai is a monstrous deep sea combo of lionfish and anglerfish who does not know how to handle affection, but is still extremely gay.

One of the critter kings, frogfish (aka anglerfish) are often photographed for a number of reasons - their various contrasting colours, textures and camouflages, their incredible hunting tactics and of course their down-turned mouths and muppet-like faces.
