Thank you to everyone who followed me or messaged me before, it was one hell of a ride and im sure we will all remember our time on tumblr fondly, I don’t know if tumblr will delete this blog or just the content, so i just want to thank you now before the end.

Challenge 144: 10 Years, Looking Forward: Coffee Breaks
I wanted to depict a calm moment, where we’re both happy, healthy, safe, and just better versions of our current selves. I’d like to think I’ll get better at giving myself time off and not feeling guilty for it. That we won’t have to schedule time to hang out because I’ve convinced myself I need to work every moment of every day. Here’s to hoping in 10 years, I’ll have perfected my work/ life balance.
In general, I’m pretty sure my partner Greg (They/Them) will have better hair and make-up skills then I ever will!
Speaking of hair, at the rate I’m greying, there’s no way I won’t be a silver fox by then (Finally achieving my hair goals without the assistance of bleach) ;D

♡ Graduated from SCAD in 2011.
♡ I’m currently freelance: Mainly working on private commissions, followed by comic covers, and comic pin-ups.
♡ I’m hopeful that in ten years time that my current situation will flip. That the majority of my freelance work will be covers/ pin-ups, with just a few private pieces here and there. OH, and that I’ll have about 20 cats XD

It’s not lost on me how incredibly lucky I am to have had Square Carousel in my life these past 10 years. It’s allowed me to grow as a person and as an artist. Pushing me to illustrate things that weren’t necessarily in my wheel house and broadening my visual language. I had to take a few work related breaks through out the years, but I always looked forward to the day I got to jump back in and get to work with my fellow members/friends.
As silly as it sounds I don’t really think I can properly articulate how much love and admiration I have for my fellow members (especially the admins/ ESPECIALLY Caitlin). They’ve been a rock in my life when I needed it the most (whether they know it or not). ♡
Lastly, a big thank you to all the people who supported S.C. through out the past 10 years! Whether you’re a former member, an amazing guest artist who contributed, or just someone who’s liked our work, it has meant the world to us!

Well: To be more specific, this Tumblr is saying goodbye, for now.
I dreamed up the word “unconsumption” back in 2007, for a New York Times Magazine column, and later pursued and refined the idea in various ways, most notably in this group Tumblr – which grew way beyond what I imagined was possible. It’s been an amazing run, and an honor to work with a series of fantastic and inspiring collaborators along the way.
But I’m not going to turn this post into a long walk down memory lane, or a victory lap. I will just say briefly that it’s been wildly gratifying to see this Tumblr grow from nothing to more than 82,000 followers. My sincere thanks to you all!
As 2015 winds down, however, other commitments, etc., have made it clear that the Tumblr has to go on hiatus.
So: I hope you will check out the work of Molly Block, Deirdre Nelson, Shanna Trenholm,Brian W. Jones — all instrumental to this Tumblr and its history, and each doing fantastic things of their own. My public thanks and endless gratitude to them, and to everyone who has contributed to this Tumblr directly and indirectly over the years— too numerous to mention here.
Finally: None of this means that Unconsumption is “over” as an idea, of course. In fact, quite the contrary: Long live Unconsumption!

There are many reasons why I have decided to not use this blog anymore….
Mainly, because I am locked out of my account on everything but the tumblr app. When I contacted tumblr staff they were less than useful, as usual and did absolutely nothing about it.
Another reason I have decided to no longer post on this blog is a bit more personal. There are individuals who try to keep track of me via my blog…. I am no longer allowing that to happen.
I have created another blog, which I will NOT post here. I am in the process of re-following my favorite blogs. But there were over 400 so it may take awhile.
I will leave this blog open and will continue to check my messages for inquiries… (And because I am locked out, I cannot deactivate it.) If you feel the need to contact me, you are welcome to do so….
I do appreciate MOST of my followers and have enjoyed this journey with you all over the last year!!

Bye, I guess
Tumblr now doesn’t like porn, which means it doesn’t care what its users like. If the new rules are effective, on Monday, December 17, everything on my blog will be blocked and erased. It’s been a good time, and I love everything I shared. Now, it’s time for us to enjoy what is left, before it all goes down. Thank you all for subscribing to my blog, it was cool for what it lasted.
With Tumblrs latest announcement, my blog doesn’t stand a chance, so I guess soon it will be good bye. It’s a shame to amass so many like minded followers many of which I’ve chatted to regularly and soon all the work many of us have put into our blogs will go away. So where are the NSFW blogs moving too? What is going to be the “new” platform?
