Artista gráfico, ilustrador y diseñador de modas Jun’chi Nakahara (1913-1988) es famoso por sus dibujos expresivos de niñas con ojos grandes y exagerados, y muchos le consideran un precursor del arte del manga en Japón. Comenzó a trabajar como diseñador de vestuario e ilustrador de modas en la década de 1920, pero pronto se interesó en ilustrar shojo manga (revistas dirigidas a lectores adolescentes femeninos).

Sus obras me parecen de una gran modernidad y tan actuales como en el momento en que fueron creadas.
