Ok so I was listening to the Hamilton soundtrack with my sister and I had a thought. I realized that Attack on Titan and Hamilton kind of feel the same. Idk I can just HEAR the AOT characters singing it. Like Erwin would be Washington and Levi would be Hamilton. Songs like “Right Hand Man” and any other songs were the characters were in battle, really feels like AOT. Was this a rant to get anime watchers into Broadway? Absolutely. Was it vice versa? YES

The audition can very well be each candidate explaining why they want to participate (and win) - their relationship w/ cosplay and said character. The survival show itself consists of a few different elimination rounds which test the competitiors’ abilities on the cosplay scene - trivia and knowledge, costume making and crafting, hair and makeup styling, acting and performing, etc. The final scores take into consideration the audience’s votes but also prominent cosplayers(judges)’ and critics’ opinions. At the end of the season the winner gets a big budget, creative freedom and proffesionals’ help to make the best possible cosplay of this character (season’s pick) and one character of their own choosing.
god i love reading about stupid drama in ancient greece. like there was an athlete named theagenes who was so good at every kind of athletic contest that when he died, one of his opponents would go to beat the shit out of a statue of him out of spite, but then one day the statue fell on the guy and killed him so the greeks took the statue to court for murder, convicted it, and threw it into the sea
actually i left out the best part of this story which is that a plague then struck and when people consulted the oracle at delphi she was like “well you’ve pissed of theagenes” so they had to go dig the statue back up out of the fucking water
