I’m look for writing prompts for something I’m planning in the future. This can be anything whether it’s a line of dialog, an action or a scenario. Hell, even a random object or word. It can be for any genera, any time period, any country. It can be angst or fluff, romance or fighting, smutty goodness or nightmare enduring. I want anything and everything.
I’m primarily a fanfic writer and that’s mostly my hero academia with my main pair being Bakugou x fem!reader x Todoroki but I also write stuff for the Witcher tv series (Geralt x Jaskier) and most recently shadowhunters (Jace x Simon). So please hit me up with specific prompts for these or even throw me some curveballs.
Send it as an ask or message me or even leave it as a comment thread on the post. I’m looking for a challenge so don’t hesitate to throw me something outside of my comfort zone.

There’s an impersonator on the loose, and they somehow seem more real than the real deal. People think that Character A is wearing a cheap cosplay when they’re not.
Character A is at a masquerade ball. They dance with many different partners, but there’s a unifying feature with all of them… are they dancing with a shapeshifter?
The masquerade ball is raided. Attendees are kidnapped, held hostage, and/or killed.
Character A tries on a mysterious mask and is possessed by the spirit of a long-forgotten, malevolent god. Said god then wreaks havoc on their surroundings using Character A’s body.
There are vampires at the masquerade ball, which Character A finds out as they dance with one in front of a mirror that their partner is not reflected in.
Character A is visibly a monster*, and can attend events that require costume masks without one. At one such an event, they are discovered.
A murder occurs at a costume party, and because of the masks, nobody is sure whodunit. Can Character A find and apprehend the murderer before they kill again?
Character A is certain that their loved one, Character B, is not in fact themself. Character A is certain that someone - or something - else is masquerading as them.**
There exists a gorgeous mask that will fit itself to the wearer’s face and make them permanently beautiful. Character A will do anything to get it.
Character A makes a mask out of ghastly materials, such as human skin and bones.
* Please avoid using real human deformities and scarring for this prompt. It isn’t fair to people with atypical facial features to treat them as you would a monster.
** People in real life get this delusion sometimes, but if you’re writing it as a delusion instead of reality then please do so in an informed and kind way. You can find more about it by researching “Capgras Delusion”. Mental illnesses can be scary (speaking as someone who has experienced a lot of psychosis), but be sure that you’re writing from a kind perspective.
Character A thinks they’ve been cursed, and Character B suggests that they use crystals to clear it. This does not work, and the ‘curse’ worsens.
Character B is trapped inside of a crystal (body and/or soul), and Character A tries to cope/fix it.
A ‘wellness’ website promises that their crystal will heal any illness, including the illness of Character B. Character A purchases it for them, but it doesn’t work as intended.
Character A wants to get rid of an old crystal that doesn’t suit them any more, but no matter how they get rid of it, it always comes back.
There is a special crystal that protects Character A from the dark forces that seek them out. One day, the crystal is gone.
Character A receives a piece of jewelry with a crystal in it. They wear it for a while, and soon find out that when they’re too far away from it, their body becomes unresponsive.
Enchanted by their beauty, Character A begins to obsessively collect crystals. Their obsession scares Character B.
Character A comes into the possession of a crystal wand, and uses it to perform magic. They soon realise that their even their ‘white’ spells are doing more harm than good.
In an abandoned mine, Character A finds a crystal partially trapped by the surrounding rock. They dig it out and take it, but there’s something in the mine that wants it back.
Character A comes into the possession of a crystal ball. They soon realise that they can see the futures of others as well as their own. They see a death.
Person A’s reflection is moving independently of them.
Having not broken it themself, Person A accidentally gets cut by a piece of broken mirror. They look at their reflection and realise that the wound is only appearing on one side of the mirror.
A beast that can only be seen in the mirror is stalking Person A.
Person A broke a mirror. Person B informs them that it means 7 years bad luck. Person A then goes through several unlucky events.
Person A’s secondhand mirror has a ghost residing in it.
There is an item only visible through a mirror. Persons A finds it and tries to interact with it.
Person A starts to collect mirrors.
Person A gains a tattoo that is only visible when seen on their reflection. Person B remarks on it, and soon finds themself with a matching one.
A mirror shows the reflection of an alternate universe.
Person A becomes obsessed with their own reflection. Person B tries to snap them out of it.
Hello ! This year I’ve decided to try making my own prompt list for October. I’ve been wanting to improve my environment/background design and so here’s a challenge specifically to motivate me to do some, with an horror theme ! I’d love it if others would participate, if anyone does tag it on insta and i’ll put it in my story ! Or don’t and just have fun with it.

Ca fait un moment que je veut m'améliorer sur le dessin de paysages/arrière-plans et je vais donc utiliser cette liste au thème horreur pour le faire.
