This is a really awesome match! I believe the theme of this is: “Be! Aggressive! B-E! Aggressive!”

A friend from my Virgina gaming days came up to Pittsburgh to visit a while back, bringing his absolutely MASSIVE Space Wolves army with him. He wanted to use one of the cool tables at Legions Hobbies in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh to take a group shot before we did a huge 4500 point battle (back in 7th edition).

He put together a solid list of space wolves with admech support and THREE knight titans. Unfortunately for me, my main guard army was stuck in my girlfriend’s car miles away so I had to go super unbound and throw together everything I could from what was left at my apartment that day. I think all told it was:
-all of my Deathwatch
-a contingent of all the gaurd armor/artillery/air support I could throw together
-some inquistion
-a few squads of Lamenters

Needless to say I was flattened but did have a few highlighted moments of brillance including:

- My Shadowsword, to the “Righteous Bastard” knotching two more Titan kills to it’s growing tally (kept track of on the side of the turret)

- The last remaining member of kill team Cassius (the Raven Guard, Edryc Setorax) killing two space Wolf termis and Ajax Rockfist over two turns of combat.

- My Deathwatch Watchmaster, Asenrar of the Sons of Orar, goading Bellerius Cawl into a a single combat challenge. He put a single wound on him while taking none (somehow). He then failed his leadership check for losing combat and broke and the watchmaster was actually able to run him down, shoving his guardian spear up cawls metallic ass!

Wanted to play with different easy and quick battle damage methods a while back so I picked up a leman Russ kit (because I can never have too many…). I decided to go with a demolisher since out of any of the variants I felt they would be the most up close and personal.

Then I got carried away haha. I raised my bits box for any little thing I could throw on there. It was then that j discovered that the bullgryn kit is amazing for dressing up tanks. The slab shields sit on the outside of the sponsons perfectly, the combat shields work well on the side of the turret, the tank treads on the armor can be cut off and added, there are tons of shells and gas cans, etc etc. Then I just did some simple bullet holes and heat singes etc to play with the painting. Result is above.

Meet “Lil’ Chomper”, Leman Russ Demolisher of the 7th Tracian Armored Regiment, the “Iron Tide”

So bullgryns and ratlings. These guys are member of the 14th Tracian Irregular Infantry Regiment. The regiment is comprised of various abhumans that inhabit the system and criminals with light charges who chose service in military over the mines. Currently it is made up of 9 bullgryns, 6 ogryns, a roughly sized platoon of psykers and command, unit of ratlings and a platoon of lightly armed and armored cadians/catachans.

The orgyns are inhabitants of one of Tracia Primes moons where they are used as miners. The ratlings hail from Tracia Secondus, particularly from the city of Shier, a notorious hideout of thieves, pirates, and thugs that hire them for their stealth and size. The Camazotz (a breed of nightsiders) can be found in the depths of the one of the many hive cities that dot the system and are used for night infiltration.

Members of the Tracian Military who are sanctioned psykers are grouped together into a two company within the Irregulars and are then detached to different regiments throughout the army at large. This is typical of the entire regiments. Rather than fight as a whole, squads, platoons and even entire companies are attached to other regiments as the need arises.

A Scion model I painted a long time ago. He represents a member of the 75th Elite Infantry Regiment currently composed of two 2 10 man squad platoons of scions, a 3 10 man squad platoon of kasrkin models, and a squad of the old Stormtroopers. Have three tauroxs too. I have to say I hated the look of the tauroxs when they came out until I actually bought one and now I’m a huge fan.
