#korosensei

LIVE

During the Field Trip arc, Korosensei wrote 26 copies of a guidebook, one for each student, spanning 1344 pages. When Roll Book Time was published, Matsui Yuusei also wrote an extract of this Guidebook as a bonus gift of sorts.

(In addition, if he included the whole guidebook, the whole package will become very, very expensive)

This post will outline the basic gist of each page so that you can have a general idea of what they’re about, as well as the overall tone of the book.

But if you want to ask about certain bits of the pages, you are free to do so via this

Click here to see extracts of the Guidebook extracts

Kyoto Field Trip Guidebook ~ Table of Contents (2) (Pg 4 – 5)

The page on the right shows a directory for:

  • Tokyo dialect to Kyoto dialect
  • What to say when you greet someone
  • What to say when you look at (sample?) food
  • Phrases to use when you’re touring, shopping and visiting a Maid Café

The page on the left shows a directory of temples and shrines in Kyoto

Various things to watch out for during the Field Trip (Pg 38)

#41 – Yatsuhashi are available to sample, but be careful not to eat too much

#42 - There are lots of temples, but there’s a limit to how many you can visit in a day. If you focus on just one area, you can visit 4-6 places, if you go to separate areas you can only visit 2-3 places. (Octopus: Nuruhuhuhu, Sensei can visit 1000 places)

#43 – At large intersections there will be lots of buses with the same route number. If you are unsure, please ask someone at the bus station

#44 – When asking locals for directions they will say things like “go up” (agaru) and “go down” (sagaru). “Go up” means “head North” and “go down” means “head South”

#45 – When all is said and done, Free Time is meant to be time spent touring within Kyoto. Although that theme park in Osaka is only 50 minutes away, please don’t dilly-dally for too long. (Octopus: It is Free Time within Kyoto)

Map 1 – the city of Kyoto, public transport routes included (Pg 78 – 79)

The bottom left even has a table for “Sensei’s travel times from Kyoto Station” (to different locations, at Mach 20, furthest location requires 2.5 seconds)

  • Bottom-left octopus: Sensei only needs about 20 seconds to circle all the locations. If anything happens I will come straight away, so please call me

Map 2 – Famous locales of assassination within Kyoto City (Pg 112 – 113)

Kyoto is a place famous for its assassinations. Check out the big name assassinations, then let’s make use of those in your assassination plans.

  • Bottom-right octopus: Bakumatsu-era Kyoto featured a large variety of assassination methods
  • Bottom-left octopus: The history of Kyoto makes a great reference book

Opportune Assassination Places in Kyoto City (1) (Pg 264, 287)

Consider the characteristics of each location, so that you can decide on how to have fun and how to kill.

  • These are all the spots that Class E visited obviously (makes you wonder if the Guidebook is what they decided the spots with)
  • When your classmate gets abducted –> 1243

Let’s enjoy Kyoto ~ Personal Experience ~ (Pg 454, 461)

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and a personal experience is better still. You can only personally experience something at the place itself, so take the chance to learn more about the culture.

  • Experiences listed include cosplays, candy-making, tea ceremonies, Taiko drumming and Kabuki transformation, among others
  • If you played too much and your wallet only has 2000 Yen left –> 1242

An Introduction to Ryokan (Japanese Inn) Recreation (Pg 624, 629)

Use of Ryokan Facilities – explains:

  • The retro game arcade (most likely the one Kanzaki played),
  • Table tennis (Korosensei teases that he can play double matches against himself at Mach speed), and
  • The bathhouse (things you’re not allowed to do include swimming, checking/comparing physiques and peeping, which goes for the girls too)

Things you can do in the rooms (3)

  • Pillow fights (For complete tactics on pillow fights and examples of field correspondence –> 693)
  • Sharing Love Stories - A Sensei Recommendation! (Ironic considering he didn’t share his)

Recommended Spots during Free Time (Pg 936, 959)

Korosensei’s recommendations for if you want to:

  • Sightsee
  • Get acquainted with Kyoto
  • Look at where couples hang out
  • Try your hands at matchmaking (Enmusubi), etc.

Recommended Kyoto Souvenirs (Pg 1206, 1213)

Recommendations include food and other goods

  • Bottom-right octopus: Buy something after you have thought about what happens when you return home! (ie think before you buy)
  • Bottom-left octopus: Don’t forget about souvenirs for Sensei!

And that’s all the pages. Man, Eyeball-sensei is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to the most trivial and minute details, but in a good way

For those who have yet to be informed, it would seem that Mach 20 Scans had tried their hands at fansubbing, and as a result, Episode 0 - Meeting Time, has now been English subbed!

Stumbled upon these on Twitter: some images of the Assassination Classroom area from Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition VOL. 3!

A chalkboard drawing of members of Class 3-E, some new special illustrations just for the exhibition - one featuring Nagisa, Kayano, Karma and Okuda as adults with Korosensei; another with Nagisa and Korosensei (in his human form) alongside Neuro and Yako from Matsui’s previous work, Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro.

Also on display was a Korosensei action figure made by Matsui himself.

All things considered, it’s crazy that Matsui drew new stuff for the Exhibition, for works whose serialisation has ended some time ago.

Like, was it his own crazy idea that he decided to do something new? Was it because he simply had the time to spare, compared to many others who currently have works that are serialised?

Whatever the case, these are very welcoming. It would be so nice to visit this, along with the Sket Dance one.

And he stillwouldn’t stop with the ship-teasing……………..

It’s a long time coming, but here’s the last part of my Korotan C Rough Summary. Credits to @blazardragon for help with proofreading.

Overall, I enjoyed Korotan C, mostly because our beloved middle school hitmen get to play elite bodyguard to royalty, assassin against assassin, with plenty of glorious moments to go around everyone. The way everyone is so in-character and making the whole ride fun is icing on the cake. If only this got an Anime adaptation…

Previously on Korotan C: Princess Lea of Norgo Kingdom visits Kunugigaoka for a Debate Rally, but she’s decided to sneak out of her hotel and into the city. Thanks to the efforts of Class 3-E and Asano Gakushuu, a plot to assassinate her has been foiled, and she is saved.

Facing no objections from his father, Asano continued to stand in the middle of the Embassy grounds. Lea slowly walked up to him, extending a hand.

“Thank you so very much, you were so brave.”

Asano extended a hand in return, and the two shook hands, a smile on her face.

Before they know it, Class E, who had been chattering nonstop just a moment ago, encircled the two of them like a school of goldfish, as though they don’t want to miss out on some memorable moment.

“Oh right, earlier you asked me to say something funny. I finally thought of one, based on a quote from someone great.

Curious as to what sort of funny thing could come out of Asano’s mouth, Class E leaned their ears closer.

He takes a deep breath, and “I slept at 2am yesterday, and I woke up at 5am. If I can sleep for 5 more hours, that’ll be plenty. Shigeo Nagashima.”

After listening with a serious face, Lea snorted out a chuckle. Class E looked at one another.

(TN: Shigeo Nagashima is a former baseball player, and he had apparently said many hilarious lines over the years, this being one of them.
I tried searching for the context behind it, hoping to comprehend how it is funny in any way, to no avail. If anyone can enlighten me, I’ll be most grateful. The line is [昨日も午前2時に寝て、午前5時には起きましたからね。5時間も寝れば十分です。])

“That Asano actually dropped his pride and put on a comedy act…” murmured Hayami.

“Suddenly, I’m very impressed by him,” replied Chiba.

“By the way, how long are you two going to shake hands for?” teased Nakamura.

And with that, the two let go of their hands. With Lea’s face slightly red and Asano warmly smiling on, their conversation resumes.

“Just as we promised on the bus, next time we meet, let us have matured some more…”

“Yes, of course.”

The atmosphere in the assembly hall of Kunugigaoka Academy is filled with energy and excitement. The scheduled English Debate Rally is about to begin. Princess Lea is given an enthusiastic welcome, the lady having high expectations towards herself. Class E, who were supposed to be excluded from the rally, were permitted by the Board Chairman to participate.

“Princess, do your best!” When it’s time for Lea to take the stage, Kayano cheered her on from the seats. Under the spotlights, the young royal seemed like she’s dazzling.

“Seeing her like this, for us to have conversed with her so normally, it was like we were in a dream,” remarked Nagisa.

“Yeah, she really does have a princess-feel to her,” replied Kayano.

Thus, her starring debate on “international peace” begins, with a focus on the importance of peace.

“…international peace is not something that can be accomplished by a single country. Whether it’s Japan or Norgo, no one should treat it as though it has nothing to do with them. Therefore, first and foremost, it is imperative that everyone can feel the importance of peace. War is destruction; it destroys families, wealth, culture, etc. For the sake of protecting all these important things, peace is a necessity. Should the world not develop together?”

Not only was Lea’s speech easy to understand, it resonated with the hearts of the audience and led them to believe what she said was true. When it was over, the hall was filled with the sound of clapping.

However, as Lea’s opponent for the debate, Asano now comes onto stage, and delivers his rebuttal meticulously and surgically.

“True, war destroys many things, but at the same time, it also makes a great portion of people wealthier. So long as such values are entrenched into the human heart, no matter how hard you advocate peace, that is not something for us regular men and women to decide; rather, wouldn’t you say that such an ideal world would raise the dangerous nature of war? But if one were to become the ruler of society, and destroy the fundamental reasons that give rise to war, then that will truly cleanse them away.”

“Impressive, he’s taking the princess seriously,” praised Nakamura at his counterattack.

“That’s Asano-kun alright.” “Mmm-hmmm,” nodded Nagisa and Kayano.

“At first glance, that’s a realistic defense, but once you strip away the facade, you’ll find that much of it is just excuses to run away. Such arguments where we rely on just a group of rulers to influence the situation is a devastation to the fundamentals of democracy; it is nothing more than acceptance of the status quo. The reality is, in order to bring about our ideals, society has to change…”

“Those two are really compatible with each other.” “Haha…” agreed Nagisa.

Suddenly, he heard a muted sound of crying coming from somewhere. Turning around, standing next to the Class E seats is a disguised Korosensei, handkerchief in hand wiping away his tears

“Wa-Wait a minute, what do you think you’re doing?” chidded Nagisa, as he and Kayano rushed over to his side.

“Oh, the dramas of youth! Compared to you kids, the Getsuku are nothing.”

(TN: the broadcaster Fuji TV has traditionally reserved the Monday 9pm time slot for their (intended) most popular drama. These drama that air at Monday 9pm (getsuyo kuji) are branded as “Getsuku”)

“In any case, you being here is just trouble.” Nagisa and Kayano bring Korosensei over to a corner of the assembly hall.

With a great sound of claps, the rally has ended, but Korosensei is still crying. “Just how long are you going to cry for! The princess is already finished.”

“Oh, Korosensei also came to see this,” said Yada, noticing the yellow octopus.

“And? What’s he crying for?” asked Okajima.

“He was touched by the love between Asano-kun and Princess Lea,” replied Kayano in lieu of Korosensei, exasperatingly.

With tears and snot still flowing, the teacher suddenly changed expression. “Love… wall slamming… couple born… !!!”

Nagisa was taken aback by Korosensei’s mood-shattering words. “Too sudden, what is it!?”

“Sensei really wants to see all of you be flirty, lovey dovey, kiss kiss.”

“You aren’t even trying to hide your sleaziness now!!”

“Perhaps many couples will be established amongst yourselves, or maybe they’ll be love triangles, or, in the pursuit of romance, you’ll delude into your own flights of fancy. Just like my non-fiction youth romance novel… it’s already gotten to the point where Yada and Okajima just got married.”

Yada screams at such a notion getting novelised without her knowing. On the other hand, Okajima is already having a nosebleed, wearing a “not bad” expression on his face.

“Even if you asked…” Nagisa is at a loss for a response.

The students in the hall gradually left their seats, but at the sight of Korosensei, still crying, the other Class E students gather towards him.

“What’s the matter?” asked Kurahashi.

“He’s crying because he hasn’t been able to see any romantic developments amongst Class E…” replied Nagisa.

“Korosensei is such a sleaze,” she said.

“Seriously, how long are you going to cry for! Stupid octopus.” Irina came over from the stage.

Seeing her, Nagisa wants to inquire a matter about the aborted assassination. “Come to think of it, why was B*tch-sensei in the Embassy at the time? I heard that you were there even before Kataoka’s group.”

Yada is also curious. “I bet you wanted to approach the royalty and score something.”

“Ugh… don’t be annoying, you brats!”

“You wanted to be close with someone handsome?” teased Korosensei, opportunity arising.

“Shut up, perverted octopus! Since you were all so down about not getting to meet the princess, I only thought to make some arrangements, what’s wrong with that!?”

“Liar, no matter how you look at it, you just wanted to start an affair!”

As everyone stood around Korosensei and Irina, happily chatting away, Nagisa glanced at the distance with a smile on his face.

—eccentric and teary-eyed, that’s our Mach 20 superbeing homeroom teacher, and this is our Assassination Classroom. The bell of lessons will ring again tomorrow.

And that’s the end of the Korotan C light novel story, but there’s one more epilogue manga to cap things off, which can be found on Blazardragon’s Tumblr.

https://blazardragon.tumblr.com/post/149053225649/theres-a-comic-in-the-back-of-korotan-c-i-was

Thank you for reading my Rough Summary to the end.

When real life throws predicament after predicament at you, it really lowers your morale for the hobby side of life. It’s more delayed than I would’ve liked, but here’s Part 6. Once again, thanks to @blazardragon for help with proofreading.

Also, after checking the original Japanese text once more, I seemed to have mistook something in Part 1.

To recap, I had mentioned that Lea’s mother came from a region of the Norgo Kingdom that connects it with the rest of Europe, of which said region is embroiled in conflict. What I didn’t realise when doing Part 1 was that the conflict hadn’t ended yet, and is in fact still ongoing.

Mentioning this in order to clear up something with the motive behind Lea’s assassination

Previously on Korotan C: Princess Lea of Norgo Kingdom visits Kunugigaoka for a Debate Rally, but she’s decided to sneak out of her hotel and into the city. But after fending off one hitman after another, Class 3-E and Asano Gakushuu are close to escorting her to safety at the Norgo Kingdom Embassy.

The group consisting of Asano, Lea and Class E swiftly entered the street where the Embassy is situated. As they entered their last stretch, Nagisa’s phone rang. It’s a call from Kataoka.

“Wait! Don’t enter the Embassy yet!!” shouted Nagisa to the riders in front before returning to the call, nodding to Kataoka’s response.

“…………the mastermind behind the assassination is the Ambassador!?”

Furthermore, the Board Chairman is also present, along with the police.

Everyone grew solemn at the turn of events. They were so close to succeeding, and the mastermind turns out to be in the home base.

Karma though is optimistic. Hearing that the police are present, it also means that they don’t have to worry about any hitmen for the moment.

“We’ve fled all this way already, there’s nothing worse that could happen to us,” he urged in a relaxed manner.

“We have no need to flee! And if there really is a mastermind, then we’ll just strip his façade straight off!” declared Asano.

Hearing that the Ambassador of her own country is the mastermind, Lea’s face turned pale and her heart uneasy.

“[We’re going in now, are you prepared?]” asked Asano.

“[Yes, I’m fine, if there really is a mastermind, then I shall verify it with my own eyes,]” resolved Lea.

At the entrance of the Embassy are countless police on emergency standby. Beyond the entrance is the Ambassador, plus security guards and the Board Chairman.

When the door opens, Lea’s company part from their bikes and walk onto the lawn.

“[Princess Lea! I’m glad that you’re safe!]” As the Ambassador welcomes her with open arms, Asano pulls Lea behind him.

“Asano-kun, do you realise what you are doing? Hurry and bring the Princess over,” admonished the Board Chairman, his expression even colder than usual.

“I fully understand what I am doing, I am just respecting the Princess’ own wishes, and I was calm and rational when deciding on this course of action,” echoed Asano’s frank answer across the Embassy grounds. Seeing him like this, Lea looks worried.

The Board Chairman senses that there’s some form of intimacy between the two of them.

“Ho? You were supposed to be the Princess‘ escort, and yet you brought her out from the hotel and provided openings for the enemy. You even ignored my counsel and allowed danger to befall her. And you claim these actions to be calm and rational?”

“This is the result of me placing utmost priority on her safety and her point of view, my actions were completely based on reason.”

The Board Chairman snickers at Asano’s rhetoric.

“Asano-kun, do you truly swear that you took action with reason as your basis?”

“Of course!”

“And are you sure that it wasn’t personal desire that triumphed over reason?”

The Board Chairman’s eyes are gleaming with a sharp iciness, as though they can see through to the deepest pits of his son’s heart.

“You exposed the Princess of the Norgo Kingdom to danger, and you caused a crisis to the friendly relationship between Japan and the Kingdom. Let us hear how you intend to bear responsibility to the consequences, Asano-kun!”

Under his questioning, Asano can do naught but helplessly lower his gaze, fists clenched as he endures humiliation coming from his own father.

Bearing witness to the dire situation between father and son, Nagisa and co hold their breath, his thoughts racing for a way to help the princess and Asano.

An idea came to him, and he asks Karma for the phone from the very first hitmen that they took down.

“Hold it!”

Just then, a piercing voice crossed the quiet Embassy. Its owner is Fuwa, stepping her way into the scene with heavy footsteps, with Kataoka’s special ops team following behind.

Suddenly, she points her finger. “Ambassador, there is no need for you to greet the Princess, because your plot to take advantage of this foreign trip and assassinate her has been exposed!”

The Ambassador has an astonished look on his face, eyebrows raised. “What nonsense are you speaking of at such a critical time!? Do you have any proof to back your words?“

As if in response, Fuwa raised her right hand, sending a signal to Takebayashi who is hidden in the courtyard. He then triggered something on his phone, and the phones of everyone on the scene chimed with ringtones of all varieties.

Not understanding what’s happening, the Ambassador brought out his own phone from his breast pocket. It shows an email from an unknown sender, the contents of which is a log of the Ambassador’s numerous scans for the geolocation of Lea’s phone. Seeing everyone’s look of surprise, Fuwa lets out a “huhuhu” laugh of satisfaction, and begins her explanation while looking at the email.

“The email you’re all seeing now is proof of the Ambassador’s assassination of the Princess. His unauthorised inquiry of Princess Lea’s cellphone GPS, as well as hidden software that he had secretly installed. As a result, the princess was ambushed three times.”

“[How…when did this!?]” Hearing Asano’s translation, Lea grips her phone in anger.

Off to the side, Itona has got the hitman’s phone from Nagisa and is straining to break past its security lock. They tried using the greases left on the screen to deduce the password, but to no avail, and they ended up exhausting the attempts allowed by the system.

He has one last trick on his sleeves: he decided to exchange the SIM card from his phone with the one on the hitman’s phone, and then entered his own password.

Meanwhile, Fuwa continues her graceful pursuit. “Furthermore, the Ambassador’s personal bank account has had multiple expenditures of considerable sums, paid in American dollars. Surely they’re reward payments to your hitmen? If you want to see some concrete data, I’ve got them right here.”

From her pocket, she waves out a USB thumb drive. This intelligence on the Ambassador’s personal account was discovered by Irina in his room, which she infiltrated using her intimate connection with one of the local diplomats.

But even when presented with the facts, the Ambassador isn’t as rattled as expected. “True, I installed the software onto the Princess’ phone. But it’s for the Princess’ protection, since she has the bad habit of going missing all the time, and for that I must beg her for forgiveness. However, it is not proof of my assassination of the Princess. Moreover, what reason would I have to assassinate her?”

Fuwa wasn’t phased by the Ambassador’s duplicity. “A reason to assassinate her? Of course you have one! Ambassador, you are the illegitimate son of the previous King, and for the right of succession to the throne the Princess must disappear, that is your conspiracy!”

“…” Ambassador.

“…” Lea.

“…” Nagisa.

“…” Karma.

“…” Board Chairman.

“I mean, an illegitimate son of royalty who is also a pretty boy being the final boss is a staple of Shonen manga!!” nodded Fuwa proudly to herself.

“Uh………. Fuwa-san, don’t you think you jumped way too far out there?”

While all who are present went silent, Itona lightly taps Nagisa on the shoulder. He turns around and sees him with the phone. “The lock has been bypassed. This is checkmate.”

“Thanks!!” Nagisa takes the phone and went to Fuwa’s side.

“Everyone, we’ve been by the Princess’ side since she was ambushed by hitmen. This is the phone from the very first hitman, and now I’ll call the most recent number from its call log.”

Nagisa dials the phone, and a “beep beep beep” ringtone resounds, its origin coming from the phone that’s in the Ambassador’s hand. All on the scene turns to look towards his face.

“Your phone’s ringing.” Nagisa moves the phone over his ear, his words directed at the Ambassador. His face breaks out in cold sweat and is refraining from answering the call. When the phone went to voicemail the ringing stops, but Nagisa just ends his call and dials the same number once more.

“Well Ambassador, let us talk with our phones.” Looking at Nagisa, the Ambassador sees that his gaze is full of bloodlust, as though he has his prey cornered.

“S**t!!” The Ambassador drops his benevolent façade and exposes a malevolent expression, and out of the blue he pulls out a handgun from his waist.

“You bast**ds, don’t think that this is o-“

Before he can finish, his handgun drops to the ground. The person who has been standing next to him, the Board Chairman, made a tight clutch on his wrist, forcing his grip on the weapon loose.

“Let go!!” The Ambassador struggles, when suddenly, his image changed in an instant. His handsome blond haircut was shaved into a top knot. Without thinking, Nagisa and co. laughed out loud. He didn’t know what’s going on, but confused by the laughter all around him, he touches his head and reacts with rage. Looking around, Nagisa sees that expected yellow silhouette up on the roof of the Embassy.

“Intentionally harming my students is unforgivable, so I’ve helped tidy up your hairstyle and gave you an actual top knot, nurufufufu.” Korosensei then throws the severed hair into the air, blond strands scattering above the grounds.

image

The Board Chairman has the escaping Ambassador held on the ground.

“It’s best if Japanese officials don’t lay a hand on the Ambassador. Have no fear, the laws of our country will judge him.” The employees of the Embassy surround him and cuffs his hands behind his back.

Lea runs over. “[Why did you want to kill me!? Tell me!]”

“[It’s because you just wouldn’t stop prattling on about that sh*tty peace of yours!]”

“[What are you talking about, why would I be killed for talking about peace!?]”

“[As you are well aware, the Norgo Kingdom has become divided over whether to use force to settle the conflict. As a diplomat, had I gotten the country to mobilise and intervene in the conflict, I stood to gain a profit.]”

“[What did you say? You wish for mother’s homeland to continue suffering under the fires of war? I cannot allow that!]”

“[See, that’s exactly it, those pretty words of yours are proving to be a real hindrance for us!]”

“[I’m a hindrance for you?]”

“[Why of course! A most bothersome hindrance! You enjoy popular support among the people, and when someone like that goes on and on about peace, the results couldn’t be more frustrating for us!]”

With that, the employees transported the Ambassador deep into the Embassy, leaving Lea confounded at what she heard.

And so, as Nagisa and co cheer on with the joy of their success, Lea stood to the side with a smile to herself.

“[I see, I finally understand, just what sort of power I hold.]”

Although she is frightened by what she heard, Lea has now realised just what she means to her country. From the bottom of her heart, a newfound confidence surges out.

June 2016? My goodness, it’s been that long!? Sigh, my work life…

Previously on Korotan C: Princess Lea of Norgo Kingdom visits Kunugigaoka for a Debate Rally, but she’s decided to sneak out of her hotel and into the city. Upon saving her from an assassination attempt, Class 3-E and Asano Gakushuu are now bodyguards on a mission to escort her to safety.

Chapter 4

Taxi would be the quickest way to reach the embassy, but should their enemies discover them, it’ll become easy to mark and ambush. Thus, Karma suggests that they use methods that include crowds of people to make things harder for them.

They’ll use public transport whenever they can, and switch the mediums of travel too. From here, they can take the bus, then switch to train at the station. Of course, some of them have to stay with the princess.

Nakamura then suggests maybe it’ll help if the princess wears a different outfit. Like, she can put on a Kunugigaoka uniform, then someone else dresses in the princess’ outfit.

That idea will put the person dressed in the princess’ outfit in danger of being assassinate though. “Well, even if I say that, you’ll still do it anyway,” Karma quickly realises.

“Same hairstyle, same colour, isn’t that just right? Exactly like the princess who’s being marked! Incidentally, you better protect me, my meat shield!!” said Nakamura.

“Hey! How many times are you going to use me as a meat shield!?” retorted Terasaka.

After Nakamura and Lea swapped their clothing, Yoshida brings the princess a knit cap for her to completely hide her blonde hair.

“Class E keeps on demonstrating an unfathomable level of prowess, whether at the Athletic Festival or the 2nd Trimester Finals, just where did your strength came from?” questioned Asano.

“Well… it was probably… the result of us fighting to the death at the precipice that was Class E…” answered Isogai.

“Isogai-kun… is getting better and better at lying…” remarked Kayano (probably)

“Well… it’s not like he can say that it was all thanks to a Mach 20 superbeing,” replied Nagisa (probably)

Unbeknownst to everyone, someone is spying on them from the shadows.

“Everyone has matured well, getting more and more reliable. Should anything happen, Sensei will be there to help, so just go along with your own daring ideas!”

Suddenly, a dog barks from behind the octopus and he screams. Karma and Asano both heard him, to the former’s exasperation.

The students travel in 2 groups, with Lea grouped together with Asano, Nakamura, Karma and Terasaka. En route to the bus station, Lea gives the ambassador a call, telling him that everything’s fine, and she’s heading now to the embassy.

When the bus arrives, Karma and Asano boarded first to make sure passengers are OK, with Nakamura and Terasaka keep up their guard from behind.

Karma sits at a window seat closest to the emergency exit, with Lea next to him, and Asano standing next to her. Nakamura and Terasaka then sit to her front and rear, completing a cross-formation that defends Lea in the center for their travel.

But during the bus journey, Karma decides to lighten things up with small talk, to Asano’s chagrin.

“Hey, don’t you forget that we are supposed to be protecting the princess! Don’t relax your guard, we’re not here for sightseeing!”

“While keeping up your guard is important, it’s still a long way to the embassy, so there’s no way to maintain such a high tension for the whole trip.”

“It’s because you carry such optimism like so many others who’ve given up on hard work that you…”

“Besides, if you want to pursue perfection in being a bodyguard, then before the princess made her suggestion, you should’ve taken the first step, so being adaptable is another essential skill to have.”

“I don’t need you to teach me how to be a bodyguard! And on the social side of things, I have plenty of experience.”

Lea watches with amusement at the banter between the two.

She remarks that “Karma” is an odd name, is it common in Japan? He reckons he’s the only one in Japan to have it, it’s a name that his always-travelling parents with their strange tastes came up with.

Isn’t that lonely, what with his parents not being at home? He thinks he’s actually freer this way, as long as they don’t mind his business he’s got no objections. Lea feels envious at the relationship the Akabanes have.

Karma then brings her attention to Asano’s family. Normally, if you have the school’s board chairman for a father, then you would get all sorts of special treatment, and everything is fine and dandy, but not for Asano-kun. Never mind special treatment, the way he kept working hard to stay at the top is considered “that’s how it should be”, that’s just…

[“You know nothing! Can you cease with your blabbering! Since ancient times, the only ones who become rulers are the strong. That is my father’s compass of education, and one that I believe to be correct. I never yearned for any warmth between father and son, and I have no interest in discussing such relationships with someone who likes to gossip like Akabane. So whether it’s this guy, or my father, I will rule over you all, over all of humanity. That is my calling, and I take joy in living in this calling.”]

[“Pfft,”] blurted Nakamura. [“So cool, Asano-kun! But I think that’s just a load of hubris.”]

[“There’s no helping it if it’s seen as hubris, although, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to be undeterred by the gazes of others and stick to your beliefs. But if it were me, there’s no way I would ignore how others around me sees things, or the expectations from my parents or my citizens. I would stick with my beliefs while carrying all the pressure and responsibility, and I would hate to act like I’m losing to that pressure!”]

[“Indeed, running away is no good.”] (Don’t know who says this)

Seeing his retaliation, Lea lightly pats him on his upper arm.

[“Let’s not talk about this anymore, Gakushuu is too perfect, it’s boring.”]

[“Expectations from others is proof of your worth, and as for how this strength is to be used, it’s completely decided by me, by my freedom. I decide where my life leads to.”]

(He was so serious that Karma and Nakamura opted not to tease him here)

[“From now on, I shall etch your words into my heart.  I will believe in myself and do the things that I believe in, and I shall not falter and continue forward, no matter what those around me say. But conversely, please remain in contact with me as much as possible.”]

[“Then you had better keep up with my growth.”]

Seeing how the two have been using such tough language against one another, Karma can’t help but feel excited. [“My oh my~ Don’t you think those two suit each other a lot?”]

[“Can you not make such low-levelled jokes!?”] Asano angrily stares at Karma.

[“Aha, he’s angry now~ Asano-kun is so cute~!”] [“He does like the princess huh~!”]

Asano’s strong tone only got Karma and Nakamura more fired up.

[“When this is over, if you dare to spread this sort of rumour, I’ll use all the power in the school to massacre you!”]

[“So scary~”]

She may’ve been the butt of the joke, but Lea holds in her laughter and turns to the windows. The appearance of her excitedly gazing out at the scenery of the passing streets presents a temperament of both girlish innocence and royalty. Asano involuntarily looked at this from a side view, but when he suddenly sensed a devilish gaze coming from Karma, he hurriedly turned back towards the front.

“Hey! Can’t you all speak with some simpler English? I couldn’t hear a lick of it!” said Terasaka.

“Man, you just had to do it, breaking up this lovely atmosphere?!” retorted Nakamura, as the bus slowly approaches the train station.

Meanwhile, the second group had already taken another bus, arrived at the train station and got into formation. Some went to check the surroundings for any assassins that may be in hiding, while others remain nearby gathering intelligence on the situation.

In front of the station, Nagisa and Kayano are throwing out snacks to the pigeons nearby, with more and more gathering, and even landing on their heads and shoulders and pecking at the snacks in their hands. Isogai and Maehara, on guard nearby, wonder if they’re alright, but it’s part of Karma’s plan, what can they do?

The “escort” bus now arrives at the station. Maehara spotted that one of the people waiting in line to board is dressed in black and reading a newspaper. And as the passengers gradually exit the vehicle, he leaves the queue and approaches them.

Isogai can see that the man has something in his hand, probably a syringe. He calls out to Nagisa before the duo runs towards the bus.

“CLAP” With a sound from Nagisa’s hands, the pigeons all flew towards the airspace around the bus. The man in black was distracted for one moment, and when he looked back, he’s face to face with his target. Well, someone who was supposed to be his target, smiling.

“Eh??? Did you see the princess?” Seeing Nakamura’s grin, the assassin knows that he messed up, and Isogai takes this chance to bat away his syringe with a rolled-up notebook. Not giving him any leeway, from behind Nakamura, Asano sends a kick his way and knocks him out.

The assassin had two more accomplices, and after seeing his defeat, they retreated to their car. But when they opened the door, they saw that the wheels had all fallen down to the side of the road. Next thing they knew, they’re strapped to their seats with duct tape.

[“You are under arrest.”] Nearby the station was Korosensei, dressed in police uniform while chewing bubble gum and playing with the duct tape roll. Next to him is Yoshida with a wrench and Muramatsu with a carjack, snickering that the assassins were way too obvious with their black clothes, black car and bubbling bloodlust.

“Korosensei, did you come to help us?” asked Nagisa. Having heard from Karasuma and Kataoka, at first Korosensei wanted to bring the princess to a safe place at Mach speed. But since he’s not allowed to do that, he can only support the kids, ensuring that the princess makes it to the destination and that his students are safe as well.

By the way, he took the chance to clean away the pigeon feathers and droppings on Nagisa. “Wha? When did that happen!?”

As thanks, he gives the leftover snacks to a delighted Korosensei. In exchange, he gives his bubble gum to Nagisa before disappearing at Mach speed.

It just hit me that Nagisa and Karma has literally been to the movies together, went to the moon together, held each other’s hands and apparently Nagisa is the only person who’s been to Karma’s home..

Product/s used: Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner - Deep Black

From@dreaming-of-assclass’s association post about Chiba, because she really called it with the eyeliner since the way I draw his eyes these days makes it seem like he’s wearing one lol

Along with some sprinkles of my own personal headcanons that complement the style I’ve been going for him
