Horseshoe kidney with ureters and bladder. / Riñón en herradura con ureteres y vejiga.

The horseshoe kidney is the most common type of renal fusion anomaly. It consists of two distinct functioning kidneys on each side of the midline, connected at the lower poles by an isthmus of functioning renal parenchyma or fibrous tissue that crosses the midline of the body.

“It’s nothing personal.”
Something we hear often after being yelled at for something entirely out of our control. I’ve been seeing some news about physician abuse. Whether verbal or emotional or physical, it happens. And it sucks.
But here’s the thing. A lot of times there are laws to protect healthcare workers from abusive patients. But what happens when the abuse comes from fellow colleagues? Senior doctors who feel entitled to demean anyone with a lesser job title? What laws protect us as students from being made to feel inadequate every time we don’t know the right answer? Why are we promoting this idea that scolding/yelling/being mean is the way to make sure we learn?
We are promoting a whole different type of abuse and making it seem like it’s okay because hey, it’s nothing personal right?
I hope we can find it in us to be kind to everyone around us this week..

NOTE: In a new intelligence assessment, the CIA has ruled out that the mysterious symptoms known as Havana Syndrome are the result of a sustained global campaign by a hostile power aimed at hundreds of U.S. diplomats and spies.

People who have experienced possible Havana Syndrome symptoms and have been briefed on the assessment have expressed deep disappointment to this CIA’s findings.

Starting in late 2016, U.S. diplomats and spies serving in Cuba began reporting bizarre sounds and sensations followed by unexplained illnesses and symptoms, including hearing and vision loss, memory and balance problems, headaches and nausea.

Over the years (including recently), many hundreds of U.S. officials have come forward reporting suspected incidents in more than a dozen countries.

A picture before I dive deep into my studies , cause this set up looks so hygge I have to admit that I have been procrastinating since morning when I have a huge topic to finish !!

And yes my dining table is now serving as my study table ! Why ! ? …. Because this area is so lit in my living room and also I need a lot of space with my large books !

Ok bye
