What if oxygen is poisonous and it just takes 75-100 years to kill us?
My science teacher said he thinks that’s true actually
Yeah this is actually pretty much exactly what is going on. It’s why anti-oxidants are such a big deal. Bonus fact: oxygen oxidizes stuff in your cells or, in other words, it’s not toxic, just setting you on firevery very slowly. What if there are aliens out there but they subsist on entirely different substances and they’re just scared as shit of us and our crazy ass hell planet? Once in a while some alien anthropologist type suggests checking out the people on this inhabited planet out towards the galaxy’s edge. The other aliens just look at the naive academic with horror. No!! We do not go to that world. That is where the DEATH BREATHERS live. They recreationally consume poisons and are more or less composed of biological fire. Their atmosphere is made of rocket fuel. We must leave the DEATH BREATHERS in peace. Do not go there. Do not.
I am so fucking inspired.

Finished coloured pencil illustration - portrait of a man with leishmaniasis - by @claire_carswell
This is mucocutaneous leishmaniasis - a neglected tropical disease caused by the trypanosome parasite Leishmania, spread through sandfly bites. There are different types of leishmaniasis, ranging from mostly cutaneous presentations, to visceral leishmaniasis - which causes liver failure and death. This disease is treatable, but because the vast majority of people who are impacted by it live in incredibly impoverished areas, too many people are disfigured, disabled or killed by it.
ayo i found 2 pages with head angles of humans and animals, could be useful to anyone reading this
Holy FUCK, this is an amazing tool.
Reblogging for my artist fellows.
Reblog this!
The creator of the original, the animal reference tool, made their own human reference tool which allows you to search based on different body parts and poses!
Hello there !
After procrastinating for like 2 weeks (seems like it’s been ages ) , I am finally diving into my studies ! It’s difficult to get back to a study routine when you have been having such good time . But with some determination and dreams … I am all set to start again !
But how can I miss clicking this view from my window
A picture before I dive deep into my studies , cause this set up looks so hygge I have to admit that I have been procrastinating since morning when I have a huge topic to finish !!
And yes my dining table is now serving as my study table ! Why ! ? …. Because this area is so lit in my living room and also I need a lot of space with my large books !
Ok bye

3D drawing to conclude my arms and hands anatomy studies while learning grease pencil at the same time!
2.5D drawing of a hand using Blender’s grease pencil.
For the last hand animation practice: The typical character looking at their hand and then reaching out
Hands second animation practice A PUNCH! I had to animate one, am I right?
Hands animation practice a bit different from the other anatomy studies because they are pretty complicated with lots of things going on.
Forearms: Extensors Flexors and Ridge muscles. I’m not sure how they contract and relax, it may not be accurate but I think it was enough to learn them well
Triceps animated study! Together with deltoid, biceps and brachialis they make the upper arm (for us, artists, at least).
Biceps (and brachialis) animated study! The biceps attaches to the radius, so when the forearm twists, the biceps form changes with it.
Deltoid animated study, this muscle helps raising the arm!
Arm studies’ first animation is the forearm bones! They twist interestingly.
Anatomy lessons at St Dunstan’s
By J.H Lobey, 1919
The present picture shows the instruction of blinded or sight-impaired men in human anatomy.
Lectures in anatomy, physiology and pathology were given to blinded men at St Dunstan’s who were trained to become masseurs (Pearson, loc. cit.). Two of them are wearing spectacles, including the second figure from the left, who also has a burned face. The third figure from the left directs his eyes straight ahead of him but holds his hand on the skeleton’s left femur, much lower down. The teacher appears to be the woman in uniform and hat who is showing the insertion of the head of the femur into the hip joint. The instruction takes place in one of the canvas buildings erected in wartime on the terrace between the back of the house and the lawn
