Happy Saturday everyone! We Hope you’re all slowing down and taking it easy, just like this majestic space turtle @jay-m sketched up one lazy afternoon.

This time round we’re looking at the “bar”, the part of letters such as “A”, “H” and “e” where a horizontal stoke connects at both ends to other parts of a letter. Check out Danger Horse on Behance for more on typography.

An annual report we did for ACU in which we faced the age old challenge of keeping a corporate design tidy but still visually interesting. We think it came up great.

Forgotten Logos - Volume 3 is here!

The Forgotten Logos collection was formed when Sean and James first decided to start Danger Horse together. They were going through each others early projects and realised they had a lot of interesting development work between them. This included a bunch of logos that weren’t the final selected by clients but were still really cool. So here we have it, The Forgotten Logos Volume 3!

Designing our website was, as with most personal branding, a bit of a drawn out process. We had endless ideas and due to having no requirements beyond our own we played with a lot of different concepts. Eventually we settled on this warm but clean layout, featuring clear information and a splash of tropical imagery. We’re pretty stoked with how it came up!

Da Rua approached us with completed branding asking if we could develop a decal design for their new food truck. The project was a great chance for us to sink our teeth in to food truck design again and we eagerly got started. Based on the information we’d received, we put together some concepts and mood-boards, ran through colour options and reached a design the client loved without hassle. Da Rua were lovely to work with and make crazy delicious Brazilian street food. Check them out!

This project for Eastern Melbourne Electricians was an exciting opportunity for us to try our hand creating a caricature and required us to work with some styles we weren’t used to. It was an enjoyable experience and after a little back and forth we reached a logo and illustration the client loved. All in all a great opportunity to grow as designers and produce some killer work! If you’re after a great electrician in Melbourne then be sure to check out Eastern Melbourne Electricians! www.easternmelbourneelectricians.com

We bumped into Napoleone Breweries at a cider festival one sunny afternoon, sampled some cider, exchanging business cards and went on our way. A short time later they contacted us and asked if we’d be interested in doing some concept development for them. They required updated packaging for their lager and a complete revamp of their pale ale for summer. It was a really fun project, and not just because of the free samples.
