Long time no tumblr post. I’ve been dealing with lots of major life upheavals lately. Here’s some Mollymauk spam from when I shot with @aerobynphoto over on Instagram last spring! I had just finished majorly upgrading Molly’s coat, horns, and tail.

My final version of Mollymauk’s coat, with all of the beading done, sparkling in the sunlight. It was a lot of time and effort for just a little bit of shimmer but I’m very happy with it.
We made questionable beverage decisions and then hopped on DDR at Ichibancon as Molly and Nott in our rave outfits. This is now how I headcanon the scene of them dancing in Hupperdook.

Finally got a chance to shoot with the swords. My con-approved prop scimitars got stomped on and snapped in half at Dragon Con. Luckily I had backup swords, but they are definitely not con safe, haha.
Really digging the sword and tarot pics from this shoot, can’t wait to post them all.
Sometimes you and your best friend are too goofy to take actual serious shippy photos but you’re also so goofy that your photos can accidentally look shippy but in the like sickeningly sweet kind of way. And sometimes the camera is acting weird and a few photos are. out of focus but that’s okay because you’re still happy to have such awesome and talented friends who take pictures with/of you for fun. And sometimes you spend 100s of hours on a cosplay for a character you love only for his plot line to abruptly go south around 2 dozen episodes in right as you finish embroidering that stupid coat and then have to indulge yourself in fluff. Don’t judge me.

I went to Carolina Ren Fest as Mollymauk for the Critter meetup. My photographer friend wanted cool walking footage of Mollymauk, but I’m awkward and my only coping mechanism for social anxiety is wiggling and jazz hands. But I think it works for him…
This videographer making a Dragon Con CMV caught a really cute moment of me handing a flower crown to a little princess during the parade. I’m so happy they caught it. The whole video just makes me miss Dragon Con so much, there’s no con like it. The energy and welcoming and positive spirit is on another level.

Fun fact: the first two kids that got flower crowns (I mostly handed them to little kids in princess dresses that didn’t already have crowns on that I could spot in the crowd along the parade route) recoiled in complete horror as a red, pupil-less-eyed, sword wielding tiefling with a big stupid grin exposing my rather convincing looking fangs came sauntering over to them. This is why I bring them flower crowns, haha, to show them that even the people dressed as monsters are just there to have a good time like everyone else, because I know the horror genre cosplayers give some of them a bit of a spook.
My friend is making the final two pieces, and I still have to finish the swords— but I feel so accomplished
This is the best molly cosplay, everything is perfect, how do you even smirk that well what the fuck. You climbed into the fucking art beat the shit out of the art guardian god rest her poor soul as she has obviously died, and just fucking pulled the skin of molly over yourself. I’m looking at this shit and it doesn’t even seem possible. You didn’t cosplay molly you cloned him and transferred your soul into his body because I’ll be damned by a non binary god if that isn’t the best goddamn cosplay in the whole world.
