Hades and Persephone
Hmm! I made this months ago but I don’t think I ever put it up here. This was a holiday gift for someone special. I was trying to experiment a bit with the linework. I’ve found myself frustrated because I feel like often, the little doodles that I sketch on the corner of papers have better, more interesting linework than I can make when I actually sit down and plan out a drawing properly. Somehow the lines take on a different aspect when it’s been planned and plotted and reworked over and over again.
This was kind of my attempt to capture the feeling of the interesting doodles that I make, but with the refined layout of a planned piece. I’m not sure. The colouring was a bit of an experiment too…. not sure, not sure.
