08/01/2014: 160 Palestinians have been murdered today by Israelis even after agreeing to a 72 hour CEASEFIRE.
Let me define CEASEFIRE, just in case it’s not obvious enough:
a temporary suspension of fighting, typically one during which peace talks take place; a truce.
an order or signal to stop fighting.
Absolutely disgusting, but so typical. Israel doesn’t give a shit about resolution; they don’t give a shit about anything. Their motives are clear: kill everything that is not of their own kind. Genocide. And yet, the world continues to ignore those who are being oppressed.
Zionists are doing to Palestinians what the Nazis did to the Jews. How can the world sit there like hypocrites condemning Hitler and the holocaust, but justify the current day Hitler-like fascist, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his continual support of what appears to be another version of just that.
Total count of Palestinians: 1567 deaths, 8760 injuries, and 9245 partially or completely destroyed homes.

You know? This might offend some people, but I don’t care. These people are the exact same people I see every time I see a Trump rally on television. They’re the same people I see when I see Bible-thumping anti-abortion protestors on television. They’re the same people I see, every year, when they play clips from CPAC. They’re the same people who tune in to Fox News every f’ing day. They’re the InfoWars conspiracy theorists. They’re the police officer. They’re the mailman. They’re the bank teller. They’re your child’s elementary school teacher.
There are potential monsters everywhere. These people thought they were doing good. Just like members of the Westboro Baptist Church, they thought they were doing God’s work.
Make no mistake. This isn’t a Nazi sympathy response. This is a warning. Beware any person who blindly and faithfully signs up for anything that demands unquestioning loyalty and obedience. The tiki torch protestors and the skinheads with the SS tattoos are just the obvious assholes.
The human animal terrifies me. A huge amount of people in this country, today, in the 21st century would gladly sign up for this. That’s why it must be stopped. We must resist every moment of every day to keep this shit where it belongs, in the dust bin of history. Make these outspoken assholes scared to every speak out. It can never get normalized. It must never get normalized. Because it could so easily happen again. Most folks just need to be given a bad enough set of circumstances and someone to blame it on.

Ever since his capture in the early 1960s, Otto Adolf Eichmann, who was in charge of Jewish affairs during the Third Reich, has been the subject of unsettled and passionate controversy — centered, above all, on Hannah Arendt’s portrait of him at his 1961 trial. Her “Eichmann in Jerusalem” in many ways mirrored Eichmann’s own self-presentation. She insisted that, contrary to expectations, the man in the dock was not some kind of demonic Nazi sadist but a thoughtless, relatively anonymous, nonideological bureaucrat dutifully executing orders for the emigration, deportation and murder of European Jewry. Arendt’s insights — that genocide and bureaucratic banality are not necessarily opposed, that fanatical anti-Semitism (or for that matter, any ideological predisposition) is not a sufficient precondition for mass murder — remain pertinent.
Yet as Bettina Stangneth demonstrates in “Eichmann Before Jerusalem,” her critical — albeit respectful — dialogue with Arendt, these insights most certainly do not apply to Eichmann himself. Throughout his post-1945 exile he remained a passionate, ideologically convinced National Socialist. He proudly signed photos with the title “Adolf Eichmann — SS-Obersturmbannführer (retired)” and, quite unlike a plodding functionary, boasted of his “creative” work. At one point he described the mass deportation of more than 400,000 Hungarian Jews as his innovative masterpiece: “It was actually an achievement that was never matched before or since.”
The enduring image of Eichmann as faceless and order-obeying, Stangneth argues, is the result of his uncanny ability to tailor his narrative to the desires and fantasies of his listeners. Arendt was not the only one to be taken in, and Stangneth, an independent philosopher living in Hamburg, is able to present a more rounded picture on the basis of previously unmined archival sources, particularly Eichmann’s own compulsive notes and jottings made in exile, in conjunction with the elusive series of taped conversations known as the Sassen interviews. These were exchanges organized in Argentina by the Dutch Nazi journalist Wilhelm Sassen and attended by a small group of old Nazis and their sympathizers
