my our life mc tobias(they/them) in that one charity moment!! wasn’t going to draw or post any ol fanart yet but i thought, ‘THE ANKLET!!’ but i will definitely make more soon. changed my style a bit for this because i got overwhelmed by my usual:’))
our life game by @gb-patch!!
That’s so lovely! And the anklet is wonderful
You know, I’m overdue for posting some more of my fan novelization for Our Life: Beginnings & Alwaysby@gb-patch. What say we continue the Step 2 moment Road Trip snippet I posted here? Jamie and Cove are still awkwardly trying to get closer to that line between friendship and something more. It’s so hard when you have a crush on your best friend isn’t it? It’s especially hard as a young teen.
As always, thank you to everyone who enjoys my writing and sends me such kind words, reblogs, and likes, particularly the lovely @gb-patch, as well as this game that inspires me so much. You are all so kind and encouraging to me whenever I post another teaser clip of this first draft.
…
“What do you like for another person, Jamie?” Cove asked, the words coming out so delicately it had been a wonder that he managed them.
It took Jamie a moment to register the question, and all she could think of was every detail about Cove - from his eyes to his hair to his face and physique and just… “Everything about you.”
The words slipped out of Jamie almost of their own accord, but she did nothing to take them back.
Cove gasped at the admission, his eyes widening in shock as his mouth fell open. There was no hint of tease to her tone, no trace of exaggeration. Her voice was as delicate and earnest as he had ever heard it. He went utterly still, unable to do anything but stare at Jamie as his face burned even hotter, his blush practically reaching all the way to his toes.
It was a lot to hear. Jamie knew that. She lost count of the amount of times she had called Cove cute, but this time felt different. It was as if she had come just one step short of an outright confession. She had overwhelmed him, but she couldn’t find it in herself to regret telling him the truth; she adored him.
Now they were both flirting with each other. More than that, now they both knewthat they were flirting.
That’s so nice! They’re both very cute, haha
Some Step 2 MC and Cove interaction!
So for my MC, she doesn’t realize that she has a crush on him until Step 2 starts. For Cove, he gradually grew a crush on her through the 5 year gap. They’re both really dense for not realizing each other’s feelings till the end of Step 2 LOL
Look at these precious babies fumbling about during their awkward teen years~!
Cove: You only met me yesterday, Jamie…
Jamie: Yes, and I would die for you. Next question.
Cove: That’s ridiculous! Jamie doesn’t have a crush on me.
Lee: Yes they do.
Derek: Yes they do.
Jamie: Yes I do.
One more Yandere doodle dump!
What a delightful mixture of creepy and cute Yandere!Cove and Yandere!MC/Jamie are. That reassuring hug MC gave after Cove felt the need to stay up and watch all night is just so cute in that messed up yandere way~!
I was convinced to post the rest of the Yandere drawings, so here’s the rest of the doodle dump!
Mmm yesss… this is good yandere x yandere love. They love each other so gosh darn much. They look so soft and cute and huggable and also vaguely terrifying. Perfect.
“Um, Cove, you might be a bit TOO clingy to MC…”
(click for better quality)
If Cove was a yandere, he’d absolutely be a soft yandere who’d never intentionally harm Jamie/MC. (Like Sunny Day Jack.) He’d just have his clinginess ratcheted up from 10 to 12.
My first fanart of Cove, main character from Our life : Beginning and Always (@gb-patch) to celebrate the launch of the last DLC
If you are feeling down, treat yourself with this heart-warming game, you will have happy tears and a wonderful story to remember.
Jamie sees Jeremy almost instantly. Besides being hard to miss with that green hair of his, he’s the only guy who seems to be sulking at the wedding. With a smile on their face, Jamie approaches the small grump, who in turn just seems to sulk moreif that was even possible.
“You know,” Jamie says with a chuckle and brushing their hair out of their face, “just because I invited you, didn’t mean you had to come.”
Jeremy pouts and avoids Jamie’s eyes. “I wanted to come.” It’s a blatant lie and they both know it. Jeremy hates social gatherings, but he heard Nurse Lynn’s voice encouraging him to come. So–against his better judgment–Jeremy showed up, knowing it would make Jamie happy.
“Good.” Jamie grins devilishly. “Then come dance with me.”
Before Jeremy can refuse, Jamie is pulling him to the dance floor.
Jamie watches their sister with a soft gaze as she stands in the middle of their park. Once this place had seemed so large, but now the swings and monkey bars look miniature as adults. Jamie watches as Liz places a hand against one of the poles. She pulls away only to find flecks of paint and rust on her fingertips.
“It’s a shame,” she mumbles. Jamie waits for her to finish, but she never does. Though Jamie thinks they understand what Liz means. It’s heartbreaking to see something they care about so much to fall into such a state of disuse, but there have never been many kids besides them in Sunset Bird.
Cove watches as Jamie hops across the sidewalk with a look of concentration on their face and frowns to himself when he doesn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. “What are you doing?” he asks.
Startled, Jamie loses their balance and does a little wiggle as they try to find steady feet. “I can’t touch the cracks!”
“What? Why?” Cove asks, even more confused than before by the look of fear that crosses Jamie’s face.
“Lizzie said if you step on a crack, you break your mother’s back,” Jamie whispers, eyes widening as they look down.
Cove also looks down to see his feet firmly stepping on a crack in the sidewalk and instantly tears burn his eyes. “Jamie…” his voice wavers as he looks up at his friend.
“I-I’m sure she’s fine!” Jamie panics as Cove begins to cry, and Jamie rushes him into their house to have their moms call just to make sure.
“I can manage.”
Noelani and Pam stare at Cliff, seriously contemplating his words.
“What?”
“Are you reallysure you’re up to watching the kids on your own?” Lani asks gently, concern evident in her warm eyes.
“Of course,” Cliff states, and maybe he straightens his shoulders just the slightest to prove his point.
Pam, on the other hand, does not seem convinced. “Huh.” Her lips curl in a smirk. “And where are the kids now?”
“Waiting at my front door while I get your permission,” he states, but he sees the amusement in their eyes when they look behind him. He turns around and looks toward his house, where four young kids should have been sitting on the front step, and finds it empty. “Not again,” he groans while Pam and Lani chuckle.
“Don’t worry,” Lani eases his worries, “I saw Lizzie point toward the playground. They haven’t gone far.”
