Some of the burst cards I would create a lot of iterations before we got to the final. These are some of the options I created for the first Prowler Card.

spoiler alert…one of my main jobs on Spider-Man was to develop and create a visual language for the short 2-D animations we called “Burst Cards”. we used them to emphasize hits or big moments, for which I would design and animate new frames to replace footage throughout the film.

These are some of the frames they used for the rooftop scene. The directors ended up adjusting and adding text to some of my frames. Included here, are only the frames I contributed.

Sometimes I would do dozens of iterations. These are a bunch of them - including the final that made it into the film.
