#bookreview: Adelina is a malfetto - a person with an unnatural ability, a certain power that grows within her. The question is, will she use it for good or evil?
This wasn’t the typical good-girl-save-the-world kind of story. It’s unpredictable due to the fact that the main character could be both good and bad. And that’s something to watch our for!
The world that Marie Lu created was very interesting and creative. I liked the way she made their abilities very different from each other. I love the action-packed scenes and the big Woah-Moment in the end! Yes, the last 100 pages blew me!!! It got exciting and really good!
What bothered me was, I didn’t love the characters so much like I loved June and Day in the Legend series. I want an attachment to them. I want a character that will speak to me. I just didn’t find it here…
But over all, I enjoyed this world. And I shall wait for the next book!

#Review: Game is a sequel executed properly! This is the kind of book in which you write down every detail because you don’t want to miss anything. If you borrow my book right now, you will see my expressions every time something happens like… Wth?!!, Nice one Jazz!, sassy Connie, ha! You psycho!, wtf?!, so if Ugly J = S, 11, 9 is on, he said Craaaw or Crow?!, etc etc etc… •
Basically, what I’m trying to say is: It’s so good. It’s freakin’ good. It’s addictively good. What makes it more enjoyable is the set of characters - Jazz the boy wonder, Billy the psycho father, Connie the kicka** girlfriend, Howie the coolest best friend, NYPD, town’s sheriff, the hysterical grandma and the hot aunt and more serial killers!!! They all have roles to play that you want to read their own chapters and you cannot miss a single POV because it’s vital to the whole story.
And how Barry Lyga does that, I still don’t know… But one thing is for sure, he’s writing style is extensively vivid that you just go with the flow without realizing that you’re already hooked! So there. If you want to explore a serial killer’s mind or you’re wondering how to be raised by a serial killer whilst reading young adult fiction then please grab this series! •

I enjoyed re-reading this book. It was like going through the stages of being a teenager again! It’s basically YA with its underlying themes, and maybe that’s why other people do not like it because they cannot relate much to the characters. But the quotable lines were so good that I just enjoyed the whole time!

I mentioned before that I like Will when I first read this 4 years ago, but now I like Jem more! ☺️ I will not give an extensive review on this because it’s so popular that almost everyone knows the story… But one thing is for sure, this series will now have a special place in my heart because my hubby (who is not much of a reader) read the first book in almost 3 days and he liked it and now he’s reading the 2nd book and he likes Jem! Hahaha. So yeah.

#BookReview: Wow. Three letters that best describe the book. It was more than what I expected and way better than I thought. (lesson: do not be intimidated easily) As I said before, I regret that I didn’t read this sooner. But better late than never, yeah? •
Bilbo, Gandalf, the drwaves and even Gollum and Smaug are characters I’ll never forget. My 10-year old self is jumping out of sheer joy and fascination with the adventure that she just had! And this journey is something that I will totally let my future children experience! (Like the Harry Potter series, of course) •
But aside from the wonderful things in the book and the beautiful writing of Tolkien, what made me really love it was how it showed us our ‘Hobbit-selves.’ We are like Bilbo who are contented living in a comfort zone, but deep inside we are longing to take on a new road and do new things. Yet, we are too scared to try, too scared to face the world. Then again, just like Bilbo Baggins, we take one step forward to the unknown with the hopes of returning back as a better person.

Every reader must read at least one Tolkien book in his/her lifetime. IT’S A MUST! •
