http://bigthink.com/

“Slavoj Žižek answers the question, "Do you think science has replaced philosophy in discovering the bigger questions of life?” Philosophy is not dying, he says – in fact, we need it more now than ever.“

"Slavoj Žižek is a Slovenian philosopher and cultural critic. He is a professor at the European Graduate School, International Director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, Birkbeck College, University of London, and a senior researcher at the Institute of Sociology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her Path to Divinity – Bryan Kent Ward

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

hey shout out to queer people that didnt immediately recognize their queerness, or didnt understand the signs from early on.

trans people that didnt know they were another gender until later in life? i love you.

queer people who werent in the closet for years and just realized it all at once? i love you.

bi/pan people who developed/recognized their attracted to other genders later in life? i love you.

ace or aro people who understood later in life and didnt know from the beginning? i love you.

there’s a stereotype that theres always “so many signs” from the beginning of a queer persons life. and for many people, this is a very relatable experience.

But i want to say that sexuality and gender can be fluid and you are JUST AS VALID if you dont have these early experiences.
