Mysterious Earth Legends I Believe Loki is Actually Responsible For: A Thread

1) Atlantis - During his teen years, Loki used his seiðr to turn the entirety of Asgard’s Royal Court into a bunch of marsvīn as a prank. It took days for Frigga and the other magic users in the palace to reverse the transfiguration spell, and due to Loki’s unapologetic attitude about what he did, Odin banished him to an island (a modern day Crete) on a primitive planet named Midgard for a couple hundred years as punishment. Loki brooded for five or six decades before he swam to the main land, rose to power thanks to some support from a few Greek citizens (and some dude named Plato) who were revolting against the government, and created his own city of rebels called Atlantis. When Odin came to retrieve Loki after his sentence ended, he was infuriated at the debauchery and carelessness he saw. Loki had shared his magic, lustful desires, and knowledge of Asgardian tools and weapons with these Midgardians, propelling their natural technological development dangerously ahead of the natural path. In a furious rage, Odin destroyed the entire city with a violent volcanic eruption and sent it—and the advanced knowledge it contained—sinking to the bottom of the ocean with a massive earthquake before he dragged Loki back home. Despite losing the city and advanced society he formed, Loki couldn’t help but smile when he realized Odin hadn’t killed all of the intelligent marsvīn-esque creatures he had created while on his island and he hoped the next time he visited he would still find the oceans full of his dolphins.

2) Merlin - Loki was the magician, Thor was Arthur, and the dragon was Volstagg. They were all basically cosplaying.

3) Stonehenge - Loki got drunk on Xandarian wine, traveled to Midgard, and stumbled around giggling while he arranged a bunch of rocks to make a makeshift Asgardian Colosseum of the Arts. He then made an illusion of an audience and drunkenly recited some very vulgar Asgardian poetry before passing out in the middle of the field… which is where Thor found him the next morning, still asleep. He picked his brother up, threw him over his shoulder, and had Heimdall take them home. Thor didn’t know Loki had made the stone formation, so he left it how it was.

4) D.B. Cooper - [CONFIRMED BY THE DISNEY+ SERIES]

5) Jack The Ripper - Thor was coming into his fertility powers, essentially fucking his way through Asgard. Loki was jealous, and since his brother had already “sullied the pool of women” with his dick, he decided to take a field trip to Midgard. He had some fun, but his darkness was a little bit stronger than he realized due to the anger and annoyance at Thor, and he ended up accidentally killing one of the hookers. The release he got from killing helped, so he kept going, trying different techniques, mutilations, digging around to look inside of humans, and just generally being a fucking psychopath. But, people were starting to get suspicious of the strange man hanging around London that appeared shortly before the killings began, so he vanished and returned to Asgard.

Whang! [X] My new favorite. What can I say, I love whang. Dude covers weird and forgotten mysteries of the internet. Doesn’t drag out stories, is informative and entertaining.

LordanARTS[X] This guy goes in depth about cases in his “Brainscratch/searchlight series He covers true crime, cold cases and missing people.

Reignbot [X] I really like Reignbot’s channel, she’s great at analyzing mysteries and conspiracies and the like. Her voice is also really easy to listen to and she often does in depth horror movie reviews as well as lists.

Vintage Files [X] Unsolved mysteries, strange cases, creepy photos, everything.

Shrouded Hand [X] Paranormal / creepy / Aliens and UFO’s

NightmareExpo [X] Another great channel. Reminds me of Reignbot in a way. Reviews and analysis of various web-series and creepy content gone viral along with scary story times and a "disturbing things from around the internet” series.

NightMind [X]I like Nightmind a lot. Good creepy channel with analysis of mysterious online videos and coverage / reviews of creepy online content from around the internet. Really worth subscribing to.

Rob Dyke [X] specifically his series “seriously strange” / twisted tens and the anatomy of a serial killer.Rob’s channel has a lot of good quality content and since he’s been around for a while now, he’s got quite a few to binge on. His channel covers everything from unsolved mysteries, serial killers, and twisted top ten lists.

Elders Vault [XEV dives into unsolved mysteries with his “Beyond the vault” series and it’s very, very interesting. Really like the guys voice, easy to listen to, well worth a sub.

OrderoftheGoodDeath[X] …more commonly known as “Ask a mortician”. It’s all in the name, the presenter of the channel is a mortician, and her channel features morbid and interesting content surrounding death and everything about it.

Caylleigh Elise [X] Another great channel, especially the “Dark matters” series.Features topics along the lines of true crime, missing people, unsolved murders, and the odd list video.Very respectful and informative.

Gloomy house[X] As the user name suggests, pretty gloomy content. From “videos that will make you lose hope in humanity” to “The euthanasia roller coaster” and even “the Mickey mouse sex tape”Hmm.

Crime documentary [X]
It’s all in the name. This channel has a lot of true crime documentaries, usually 40 minutes and longer.

I thought I’d also make a little sub-list of scary story channels I like, because I do listen to a bunch of them. If you don’t know, scary story channels are basically people reading either listener submitted, or online sourced real life terrifying experiences. These are good playlists for just before you go to sleep or whatever. Some of the readers have branched out to do lists and cover crime or paranormal stories too.

He turned her head like Dracula, and managed to steal some of that hunger, too, his eyes flashing white before he descended to plant his lips against her neck. She shivered as his skin met hers, her whole body tensing for a second, before she melted in his hands. A trickle of girl that he just about kept in one piece with a hand on her chin and another against her cunt.

There are the mysteries you solve, and the ones you leave alone. Curiosity only does you so many favours, and while the impulse is always there, sometimes you had to ignore it. She was his mystery, and he didn’t ever want to find out the rhyme or the reason, he didn’t want to understand her on so fundamental a level that he could predict her, and direct her. It felt like a contradiction, even as he thought it. But it wasn’t. It was merely truth.

He’d mutter in her ear ‘You’re mine’, a primal claim that they both chose to believe. He’d act like he knew her thoughts, their signature written across her face, and in her actions. He’d tell her what to do, and she would do it, because that was how it worked. But each time, David Hume would grin and wave a hand in greeting in the back of his mind, and his certainty would waver. It was just a flicker, really, and it barely got anywhere close to registering on his face. An inward tick, a flash of anxiety.

What if she said no?

What if she didn’t do as she had done, what if this time was different?

What, for that matter, was making her do what she was told in the first place?

She was a mystery to him, on such a deep level that it didn’t even bear contemplation. She gave him the power that he wielded over her, and he had no idea what it was that made her surrender, to have that inclination. He didn’t question it, because he was afraid that the answer would break the spell. He didn’t question it because he needed that magic, and he wasn’t ready to let it go, just yet.

His teeth grazed against the soft skin of her neck, and she moaned, her body writhing underneath him. The hand against her shifted, thick fingers pushing into tight holes, and the noises spilling from her lips like wine only grew richer, a dozen flavours contained in a sound. He savoured her, then, with everything he had to savour. He tasted her on his tongue, drank her through his nose, let her linger on his ears and felt her… well, just about everywhere.

His mystery, and just about perfect as she was.
