imagine ur grumpy ass f/o just sighing as they sulk their way over to you before putting their head on top of yours and sighing once again. you smile at them before turning around and hugging them then saying ‘is it one of those days?’ with them replying with a simple nod.
Imagine having to wake up early, but your f/o is clinging to you in their sleep. You try to get free from their grasp to begin your long day, but they suddenly tighten their hug and mumble in their sleep, their voice a sweet plea.
“Don’t go…please…stay with me.”
You’re not going anywhere today. You are exactly where you should be.
Imagine celebrating your birthday with your f/o(s). Maybe y'all throw a party, maybe it’s something lowkey. But what matters is that they’re happy to celebrate you!

Imagine cuddling up with your f/o when it’s cold, sitting together by the fire with your preferred hot beverages, covered in blankets.
Imagine waking up in the morning and almost getting up before being pulled back by your sleepy, cuddly f/o. They won’t budge no matter what you say, wanting to get that precious five more minutes asleep next to you.
Imagine staying up late, maybe because you want to, maybe because you need to, but no matter you’re up later than usual. Eventually you’re going to bed, but find your f/o still awake. Imagine taking a blanket to the park and sitting on the grass to watch fireworks together ! If you and your F/O have kids, imagine them being with you, and imagine their excited face when they see all the bright colors !
If fireworks aren’t your thing, then imagine having a party with your F/O and all of your friends ! Imagine kissing your F/O at midnight, and all your friends cheering and oohing to mess with you.
i know the holidays are a tough time for a lot of us, especially the family parties we have to go to, so imagine your f/o going to one of your family’s holiday parties with you ! imagine them holding your hand if you’re anxious around your family, or standing outside with you when you need space from the people inside the party.
Imagine a road trip with your f/o. Maybe it was a spontaneous idea, the kind that leaves you packing at last second with a guarantee you’re going to forget something you need or maybe you’re more organized and you and your f/o planned ahead with plenty of time to prepare. Once on the road, you take turns driving and the whoever’s not at the wheel gets to lay in the back. It was a little difficult to decide what places you would visit but in the end it was a wonderful journey and brought you and your f/o closer as a couple.
Imagine constantly giving each other kisses. Whether it’s a quick peck, or a sweet full on kiss. Maybe one of you is busy working on something and the other gives them a kiss on the cheek, causing the kiss victim to get all flustered. Kissing a shoulder while cuddling in bed, kissing each others hands, maybe even a kiss on the top of the head.

can we appreciate f/o’s who aren’t used to receiving the love that they deserve? the f/o’s who need to be kissed twice because they didn’t believe it the first time. the f/o’s who don’t know how to accept compliments so they just shyly look away - maybe they’re smiling and have rosy cheeks, but maybe they’re uncomfortable and not sure how to respond so they just avert their eyes. the f/o’s who put in so much work to internalize the love that they absolute deserve in their precious and important lives. here’s to f/o’s who are still learning to accept your love, but who are so appreciative of it every single day as they learn to show up for it.
